Valentine Disaster

Summary:

For five years Felix has always been the designated organizer for any dates or events the couple attended on Valentine Day. Chris can't let her keep doing that so she decides to take up the job for this year's date, all while Felix watches the chaos unfold with a fond smile and an arm around her girlfriend

Work Text:

Chris was known by her friends to be quite the perfectionist. It wasn't a trait she was awfully proud of, it often brought her immense feelings of inadequacy for what she achieved. This was especially true when you looked at her history with planning dates.

"Just let me plan it, unnie," Felix chuckled gently, her hands cupping her girlfriend's face as the older looked at her with this massive frown.

"You have planned Valentines the last four years, let me make it special," Chris leaned closer, her voice slightly whining as her plump lips jutted out, bringing the younger into a kiss.

"I thought we agreed on this so you don't spiral," Felix sighed. Her tone gentle and almost guiding like she knew how this would come to be, and she was trying to prevent it.

"Let me try?"

"… Okay, but don't panic if things go wrong, you know I love spending Valentine with you anyway?" Felix tried her best to reassure but honestly she knew that Chris was already far too deep in her own head.

"Alright then, see you tomorrow," Felix pressed one final kiss to her girlfriend's cheek, pulling away to look at the way her eyes shone as her bangs fell perfectly on her cheeks, underneath the soft moonlight Felix can identify feint trances of freckles.

"See you baby," Chris replied gently, pressing another kiss to her cheek and pulling away. The hardest thing about dropping the younger off by her apartment was the pull away, how could she let go when a perfect angel resided between her arms.

Felix opened her heavy eyes in a dark room. Mostly so. Her eyes adjusted for a second before looking at the curtain-less window beside her. The sun wasn't shining through as it usually did, instead right in front of her eyes the heavy clouds, not quiet as gloomy as it got with rain, but enough to make the world outside her apartment look gray.

"Lix-ah, I'm going…" Seungmin stopped by her door. The two looked at each other for a second before Felix sighed. "I'm going ahead, do you think unnie will be okay?" She teased, her eyes slightly creasing in laughter and yet her a slight worry dripped from her hesitant posture.

"Yeah… I'm not sure, don't worry about her, I've got her," Felix grinned. It was true, no matter what will happen Felix has her, and she will enjoy every minute she can get with her. Felix had her own goals for the day but most of all she was excited to see what Chris had planned.

"Alright, lock the door behind you." With that, Felix was left alone as she got ready for the day, curled her blond hair, picked out an outfit and put her make up on before sitting on her gaming chair, phone screen up to see any texts, and logging into her League account. She giggled to herself how there was plenty of time for one game.

Unfortunately, one thing turns into another, and now she was almost going to scream at her screen when the silhouette of someone startled her.

"Felix!" Chris' voice bordered on angry, Felix quickly quit out of a game and shut her computer before facing her beautiful girlfriend, all dolled up and dressed up. God she could eat her right now. "I've been knocking for fifteen minutes! I texted you like thirty minutes ago!" Chris' voice kept getting higher. Felix sat in her seat. There was an obedience in the way her knees were coupled tightly and her back straightened up.

"I'm sorry unnie," Felix pouted and went to stand up, but Chris frowned and stopped her.

"Just sorry?" Her brows arched as Felix thought of it for a good long moment. What else does Chris usually want, "Whatever, get dressed, we're already late."

"Unnie, it'll be fine—"

"Please!" Chris huffed and Felix could only sigh and back away. She got dressed in record time, worried that she actually upset her.

"Hey mommy?" Felix's used that tone of voice, the one that bordered between sultry and joke. The one that at that moment got Chris to flinch as her cheeks and ears went read. Spluttering before whipping her head back to look at the younger. Felix was already standing close enough to kiss, her face soft and eyes gentle. "Sorry," she whispers above Chris' lips before kissing her. Chris reciprocates, her arms shooting out to wrap around Felix's waist.

"I'm not mad, but we have to hurry up," Chris hums, a few small pecks find themselves being placed on Felix's lips before she dragged them both out and into her car.

"Where are we going?" Felix asks turning her body away from the older to reach for the seat belt and buckle it, upon twisting back to face her, her vision explodes in the prettiest colors of a flower bouquet placed in front of her. Her breath stops for a moment, staring at the beauty and color of the flowers that Chris had in hand. Her eyes quickly looking at the flowers before feeling a surge of warmth and love fill her chest. She hand-picked each flower.

"… Thank you baby," Felix breathed out, awe dripping from her as she buckles the seatbelt and takes the bouquet in her arms. The delicate flower petals and stems rest against her arms as Chris stares for long moments. Admiring the way that her girlfriend looks and her arm full of flowers.

"Unnie," Felix calls out. She never realized how scary the trust she had in Chris was. She also never realized how terrifying it was to walk with her eyes closed. It was fine. She trusted Chris. She didn't trust herself not to trip, though.

"Holy fuck, Lixie, you're so stiff, relax, I've got you, Baby girl," an unintentional whine left Felix's lips as she weakly nodded. They walked further until the only sound other than their footsteps was the wind entering her ear.

"If you talk to me like that, I'm going to get wet," she whimpers. Chris chuckled, a loud and boisterous laugh, and one that Felix found endearing if only she wasn't being kidnapped by her own girlfriend.

"Well… we can probably fix that." Chris' voice got closer as her breath fanned against her ears. Felix could feel the strong muscular arms wrapping around her and heading farther down every second.

"Ch— Chris, I'm… wait," the hands disappeared. Felix quickly tried to flail, reach for the hand. She didn't want her to stop… just to slow down.

"I'm right here, little one, just let me do this, and I'll take off your blindfold." Felix trusted that as she took her time counting her breath, and playing with the hem of her short pink skirt. She dressed warmly with her tights and leg warmers; even so, she began wondering if she needed something warmer.

"I love you," Felix's voice came out small, warm like liquid gold that had come straight from the sunrays.

"Are you scared?" Chris' voice got closer again. Her hands were holding Felix's waist, gently swaying, and this almost too sweet tone that would induce diabetes in both of them.

"No… I just love you," Felix stands straight, chest puffed out in pride. The confidence shatters at Chris' lips pressing so softly against her neck, right above her pulse.

"I could never grow tired of hearing that," she chuckles and takes off the blindfold, but before Felix could commit to adjusting her eyes to the light, Chris surges forward with this renewed vigor and breathes deeply into the kiss, lips smashed against each other. Nothing but pleasure and love are being exchanged. "I love you too, little one."

They both pulled back as they revealed the huge expanse of an open field, a grassy area with the prettiest pink picnic sheets on the ground and with cookies, brownies, and so many more foods.

"Chris… this is so…. beautiful," Felix whispers as she steps forward. She might have been worried about what Chris would do to her to get all this done perfectly, but she underestimated her unnie.

"Come on," Chris leads her to sit down. In front of them sits a spread of things to roast. This catches Felix for a second as she looks around her. There was no way they were going to light a fire in the middle of this field; that was a recipe for disaster.

"Can you pass me the lighter?" Chris reaches out, Felix looks at the lighter beside her before holding her lover's hand and leaning close, grabbing a strawberry with her other hand and placing it on Chris' lips. Lining it and daring her to bite. The juice from the strawberry begins spilling down Felix's hand as the older does bite into it. In a few too short minutes, Chris moved to suck on the sticky juice that was bothering Felix.

"Chris…" Felix whispered, her eyes watering at the sight of her unnie's eyes, hooded and looking up at her.

The distraction works on Chris, but Felix feels her fight draining out of her. Just as she opens her lips to speak, let something out, she feels the cold drop of water on her cheek; her movements pause as she looks up.

"What?" Chris' voice strains out. It didn't take long for the rain to only get heavier… heavier… drumming against their skin and drenching them both. The wind makes their spreads scatter despite their sogginess. "This isn't… It wasn't forecasted…" Chris gritted out, getting up and running back to the car. Felix opened her lips to try and stop her, but she was far too late; the older was already far away.

The younger leans back and lies against the wet picnic sheet, closing her eyes and enjoying the drops of rain on her skin. The smell of the rain was calming in the way that she didn't often appreciate.

"I'm so sorry, Lix-ah," Chris quickly let out, her actions just as fast as she sat beside her and used her jacket to hood them.

"For what?" Felix smiles at her, a small shiver running through her as the wet clothes began getting her, her muscles getting stiffer.

"…This… you always plan the best dates, and all I can do is a fancy dinner…" Chris grits out. Felix stares at her with a contemplative pout, she reached up and pulls the older down, climbing up and straddling her waist before leaning down into Chris' face,

"This isn't a disaster, if that's what you are suggesting," she hums gently, drawing a tight circle against her temple, the warmth of her finger and repetitive motion calming her body. "I plan vaguely, you just don't know because I make sure of it, if you knew there was a plan, you'd want to stick to it. It's Valentines day, baby, relax, spend it with me, not a schedule," Felix pressed a kiss to her forehead.

The action was bated and between warm breaths. The two of them stayed like that for what could have been forever. Breathe syncing with one another as Felix lets out a small shiver again. This time, Chris' arms are quick to warm her.

"We are soaked…" Chris complained, sitting up and making Felix slide so she was sitting on her lap properly, her large hands splayed across Felix's thighs. "Do you want to do something about it?" Chris teased, her thumbs rubbing at her inner thigh. Felix jumped at the feeling before melting into it.

"I want you, I don't care in what way." Felix begins her trek, letting her lips trace all the way down Chris' body. "You need to relax, more, my love," The blond let her hands slip under Chris' shirt.

"No." Chris caught her hand and wrapped her free arm under Felix's ass before pulling them both up, the younger still being carried. "You need to get warm," She whispered, looking up at her lover. She was awestruck by how gorgeous Felix looked, even soaked and wet. She was adorable, like a little kitten at the side of a road.

"You promise to get me warm?" Felix teased out a whine as she cupped Chris' cheeks.

"I do."

"You promise to relax?"

"I do…" Chris hesitated; she didn't want to give her an empty promise, but…

"Can you let your baby show you how?" Felix grinned, her eyes glinting in a light that Chris could never deny her. She couldn't understand how Felix barreled her way into her life like this. Not that she was complaining.

"My baby, my prettiest girl, of course…" Chris breathed.
