This is going to be canon to my universe and takes place a few months after Carter and Douxie reunited.

Douxie was trying his best to make Carter feel welcome but no matter how hard he tries, everything goes wrong. Specifically, they had just finished a battle that they had barely won and Douxie felt super guilty.
"Baby, what's going on?" Carter asked as he saw Douxie curled up in his bed covered in blankets. The blonde haired man sat on the bed and removed the covers slightly to reveal his partner's messy hair and tear filled eyes. "Are you crying?"
"Sorry, love, I'm just. . .not in a great headspace at the moment." Douxie explained honestly as he sat up from the bed and wiped his tears away.
"Is this about what Daisy said?" Carter asked as he gave the black and indigo haired boy a hug. "You know none of that is true right?"
"Well duh, I know Daisy is a psychotic bitch who'll do anything and everything to kill you. But it's not just that." Douxie sighed. "This whole day I tried to make you feel as welcome as possible in this family. No matter how much I seem to try everything goes wrong."
"Babe, you worry too much. I had a great time meeting your family." Carter smiled as he planted a kiss on Douxie's cheek before giving a sigh. "Sure, the Daisy thing was. . . unexpected. . .but it wasn't your fault. She just somehow found us."
"Because of me! This was all my fault, I should never have listened to my heart which led me to you in the first place!" Douxie said as sweat started to drip down his face and panic started to set in. "Not only that, but Daisy is going to start another war, my brother was right, I'm a hypocrite, and were all going to die!"
Carter couldn't help but give a sly smirk as music started to play and he began to sing.
Carter: Shut up, you know

As he was singing, both Carter and Douxie found themselves covered in nothing but blankets. This shocked Douxie at first as he wasn't expecting it, but he quickly got into it when he saw Carter wrapped in a towel.

Douxie: "I appreciate all that"

When the song was over, the love birds fell back on their bed, panting in exhaustion. "You always know how to make me feel better, cariad." Douxie smiled as he gave the blonde haired man a quick but passionate kiss.
"I know, it's kind of my specialty." Carter smirked.
"You're a dork." Douxie smiled as he rolled his eyes playfully.
"But you love me." Carter said teasingly while Douxie just chuckled and pulled him in for an embrace.
"Yes. Yes I do."
