Work Text:
Roblox sat at his desk, his face in one hand and a pen gripped tightly in the other. All of his work was cast aside; his focus was on this singular blank sheet of paper. His mind was completely blank.
Why was this so hard for Roblox? He could write hundreds of reports in a span of a few hours, but this? A Valentine's card? That’s what managed to stump him? It was just pathetic.
This just wasn’t Roblox’s thing. Builderman did more of the gift-giving. It wasn’t anything extravagant; they were usually small and meaningful, just how Roblox liked it. Intimacy was more of Roblox’s love language. Not as much as Builderman, of course, but it’s how he preferred it.
Roblox sighed, resting his chin on his palm and tapping the pen against the table as he thought. What could he write to Builderman? He literally lives with him, so there wasn’t basically anything he could write that he hadn’t already said to the man. He looked at the bouquet of marigolds on his desk, hoping it would give him any idea.
He only had 30 minutes before he had to return home. He promised Builderman that he wouldn’t stay out working late today, and he planned on keeping that promise. He turned his attention to the beautiful ring on his finger, watching it as it shone brightly due to the fluorescent lights. The sapphire in the middle looked more vibrant under the light.
The taps of the pen stopped as he stared at the ring before looking at the paper that was still blank.

Builderman was humming happily in his workshop, small engine pieces sprawled across his desk. He was quickly scribbling onto the blueprint paper, trying to get the idea down quickly before he forgot it. And also because he was under a time crunch. He needed to get this in 30 minutes. It shouldn’t be too hard.
He was trying to make a heart out of engine parts. He didn’t really know what else to get Roblox because he didn’t really ever want much. He already got Roblox a heart-shaped box of chocolates that he liked. The man was basically okay with anything as long as it was from him. Builderman would be lying if he said he wasn’t the same.
Builderman first used a motor chain to create a basic heart shape. He wasn’t going to cut the chain short yet, as he needed to make sure all of the parts fit inside and can actually hold up.
He picked a few small pieces, putting them into the outline and shuffling them around until it was in the perfect position. It was basically doing a puzzle, making sure everything fit while trying to get the picture. He just hopes Roblox will like the gift.
His eyes shifted from the gear that was in his hand to the ring on his finger. He stared at it for a long while before a lovesick smile crossed his face, before going back to his little project.

Roblox arrived at his and Builderman’s house early for the first time in what felt like forever. In his hands were the bouquet and envelope held tightly. He didn’t know whether Builderman was already home, as he had not seen the man since this morning.
He pushed the front door open, entering what looked to be an empty home. But Roblox was quickly proven wrong when he heard some shuffling in their shared room. He closed the door behind him, letting out a deep breath before walking towards the bedroom.
Roblox didn’t understand why he was so anxious. They were literally married and have been for years. He shouldn’t be so worried about a Valentine’s gift. He was terrified of messing this up. Roblox knew Builderman wouldn’t be mad at him. Actually, he doesn’t even remember a time when Builderman was mad at him. And if there was, it was extremely short-lived.
Light peered through the cracks of the door. Roblox raised his hand over the doorknob, hesitating for a second. What if Builderman was still trying to get his gift in order? Maybe that's why he was in the bedroom? Roblox groaned, annoyed that he kept stalling.
He turned the knob, only to find Builderman sitting on the edge of the bed, scrolling through the admin panel. Builderman looked up from the panel, and a big smile spread across his face.
“Well, look at’cha, showin’ up early!” Builderman said excitedly, standing up and giving Roblox a big hug. He hid his face in Builderman’s shoulder, his face very red now.
“I did promise,” Roblox said, muffled due to Builderman’s jacket. That got a hearty chuckle out of Builderman.
After a few minutes, Builderman pulled back, hands on both of Roblox's shoulders. To Roblox, Builderman looked like he was about to burst with excitement.
“Let me show ya what I made!” Builderman said, turning around and grabbing something from the nightstand. Roblox stood there awkwardly, his gifts still held by his sides.
His attention was returned to Builderman when he basically shoved his face into his own, holding the gifts between their bodies. Roblox looked over Builderman’s face, trying to read it before looking down at the items.
In between them, there was a heart-shaped box of chocolates, specifically the dark chocolate ones. And right on top of the chocolate box was another heart, but this time, it was made out of parts of an engine.
Roblox shifted the envelope into the same hand that was holding the bouquet before reaching out to hold the motor heart. He inspected it as if he were a pirate who just found loads of treasure.
A gentle smile appeared on Roblox’s face as he looked up to look at Builderman. He gave him a soft kiss on his cheek, looking at him with adoration.
“It’s very beautiful. Thank you, Builder.” Roblox said, eyes going back to the gift as he dragged his thumb over it.
Roblox soon remembered that he had yet to give Builderman his gift. So he took the chocolates and the heart and placed them on their desk before walking back up to Builderman. He seemed to hesitate, his face flushed as he pushed the bouquet and the letter towards Builderman’s chest, not looking at the man.
He felt Builderman take the items out of his hand, only to hear a soft hum come from him. Roblox looked back to see Builderman looking at the flowers with a soft smile, softly feeling the petals between his fingers. Gods, Builderman looks so pretty with those flowers next to his face.
Roblox started to fidget with his fingers when he saw Builderman’s attention go to the letter. He watched as Builderman carefully opened the envelope, making sure not to rip it. It was a huge contrast to when Roblox would see Builderman open any other mail, not caring if the envelope or the actual mail got ripped up.
Builderman took the letter out of the envelope, admiring the nice embroidery on the paper before actually reading the letter.
“Hey!” Builderman said, pouting when he read Roblox’s first line. That is one way to start a letter.
“Quit complaining, or I’m taking the letter back,” Roblox said, rolling his eyes at Builderman’s complaint.
The builder let out a quiet huff before continuing to read it. And as he kept reading, his shoulders seemed to relax, and a warm smile appeared on his face. This has seemed to help with Roblox’s anxiety a bit.
Roblox stood there for a minute or so when he saw Builderman raise his eyebrow and look up at Roblox, a grin spreading across his face.
“Especially when’ what, Roblox?” Builderman purred, stepping closer to Roblox. Roblox felt his body go hot, and he groaned in annoyance, pushing Builderman by the chest.
“That part was crossed off for a reason, asshole!” Roblox said, turning his back towards Builderman. His anger was short-lived when he felt Builderman hug him from behind, resting his chin on Roblox’s shoulder.
Roblox turns to look where Builderman was resting on his shoulder, only to be met with Builderman and a mischievous grin on his face. Roblox scoffs, taking the flowers and the letter out of Builderman’s hands and placing them on the desk.
And just when Roblox was about to push Builderman off of him, his body froze as he felt Builderman press firm kisses on his neck. A shudder racked through Roblox’s body, his body becoming hotter. He tilted his head to the side when Builderman started sucking bruises onto his neck.
“Gods, you’re annoying, Builder,” Roblox said, groaning. Builderman just gave him a cheeky smile before kissing Roblox on the cheek.
“Love ya too,” Builderman whispered.

“My dearest Builderman,
The first time I met you, I hated you. You were always so loud and obnoxious, and I could do nothing but just listen to you. Every time I signed for you to shut up, you just never got the hint. I’ve even smacked your mouth on numerous occasions, but you just never got it. Back then, I really wished you did, but now? I could listen to you speak for hours. Even if it's just you yapping my ear off about something in the middle of the work day, especially when you were supposed to be working.
I hated how you would invade my personal space. I already didn’t like being around anyone other than my siblings, but you just kept insisting. And not only that, but you kept getting too close. Always giving me hugs, even when I try pushing you off, you wouldn’t relent. Every time you found something that remotely spiked your interest, you just had to get me and drag me along. Now though? I wait for something to take your attention. Because in the end, you’ll end up coming to me to just talk about it for hours, even if it's in the middle of our shifts. Sometimes I would act annoyed because that meant I only had to hear you and only you.
Everything about you is just so… perfect. Your voice, your eyes, your personality, that stupid cheeky smile when you’re about to do something I wouldn’t approve of. The way you stick your tongue out when you finally focus on something for once. The way you look when we go out to build, and it was as if the sun was waiting for you to come out, shining upon you, making sure all eyes were on you. Well, at least mine. Gods, your body is flawless. Especially when I can’t get enough of you, Builderman. Every day I wake up, I’m still shocked that out of all the people, you chose me. And I couldn’t be more grateful.
Forever yours.”
