The goal of this series is to look at Canadian history from an alternative viewpoint. I believe we have been misled, both intentionally and unintentionally, by academia and politicians in regards to Canada's history, and world history more broadly.
I believe Canada, both before and after it acquired this name, was home to all races of people for millions of years, not simply the First Nations people. While I do not reject they are the country's first peoples (as I believe in their creation stories) I do reject the belief they have been the sole occupants of this land until the late Medieval period (save for a brief Norse settlement). In my view those of European, African, Middle Eastern, and East, Southeast. and Western Asian origin have lived on this land alongside them almost since the beginning.
I hope to chronicle many events in Darahan's history using retrocognition, the ability some people possess to see into the past while they sleep or meditate. It should be said upfront that I am a believer in the supernatural (if you couldn't tell) and as such I will be using stories others may view as myth or legend to write my accounts. Retrocognition itself will be a hard pill to swallow for many, and I understand, but I have had numerous experiences happen to me which confirms, for myself, its validity. All I ask is you give my stories and my beliefs a look with an open mind, the rest is up for you to decide.
