Azure glanced up as the door to the room creaked open and their partner Two Time stepped in. He had been reading but was happy to see his love. Two Time shut the door and walked over to the couch Azure was sitting on with their head hanging low before plopping down next to him. Azure put their arm around Two Time and cocked an eyebrow at them.
“You okay?” He questioned, sweetly concerned.
“No,” Two Time mumbled, letting out a dejected sigh.
“Do you wanna talk about it?” Azure asked, tilting their head.
“Not really,” Two Time mumbled again, fidgeting with their fingers and staring down at their hands.
“Would cuddles help you feel better?” Azure asked, beginning to smile as Two Time finally looked up at him for the first time since they’d entered the room.
“Please?” Two Time asked, a look of delight on their face.
“Well then, let’s fix this shall we?” Azure laughed as they got up, and as he lifted Two Time from the couch Two Time squeaked quietly.
Azure carried Two Time over to their bed and sat them down gently, but before he climbed onto the bed next to them though he took off his hat and hung it on one of the bed legs. He wiggled under the blankets and wrapped his arms around them, and Two Time buried their face in his chest. Azure reached one hand up and ran their fingers through Two Time’s hair without a word. Two Time sighed, he could feel their breath against his shirt, “I love you,” Two Time said contentedly, muffled by their face being up against Azure’s chest. “I love you too my nightshade,” Azure smiled, gently kissing the top of their head and continuing to play with their hair. Over time Two Time’s grip on Azure began to loosen and Azure heard quiet snoring, Two Time had fallen asleep. “Well, a nap couldn’t hurt,” thought Azure, looking down at Two Time, and so Azure closed their eyes. It didn’t take long for Azure to fall asleep alongside their partner, and so there they slept, quietly and happily.
