Wifies built this. He built all of this just to keep his best friend safe. He was born for this and this alone—nothing more, nothing less.
He called it paragon which translated into “perfect”. This was perfect. In a world where his best friend won't die—in a world where Wifies wouldn’t have to worry about him dying.
Was this place that bad?
Here the scale was immense, yet it felt like a prison. Tall obsidian walls formed an unbreakable circle, a silent reminder that this paradise was also a cell. Multiple biomes in just one place extending from Cherry groves, Swamps, Jungles, Taigas, and a coral-filled lake that stretched toward the horizon, every biome was represented.
Every creature imaginable roamed these biomes, ranging from sheep, cows, and chickens. Wifies made sure there were no hostile mobs to keep parrot safe. It was so sick yet impressive. And it was utterly pointless. How could a world so big be meant for one person alone?
Who was this best friend of Wifies? He was a splash of color against the dull scenery of the paragon's long obsidian walls. Vibrant, parrot-like rainbow wings that stretched out beyond the horizon—hence to his name, ParrotX2.
With soft, wavy brown hair, and amber eyes that shined in the sun. A pair of goggles sat on his head contrasting his sunkissed tan skin. He wore a long brown jacket over a white button-up blouse, with an red scarf loosely draped around his neck.
Parrotx2 and Wifies met because of a small scavenger hunt that Spoke had prepared. As a result wifies got chunk-banned and Parrot spent every waking moment, hours with his small crew to save him. After that what began as a small, mutual connection, but has matured into an inseparable bond.
Him and Wifies would go into a lot of “adventures”, and by that he meant life-threatening missions. Every time, Parrot's life would be in danger, every time, he would just almost by a thread get hurt. Wifies has finally taken matters into his own hands.
Now he was trapped here in the tall obsidian walls. Parrot was smart. He would find a way. But he wasn’t as smart as Wifies.
Wifies was always ten steps ahead.
From ender pearl stasis chambers, trading with piglins, towering up— he tried anything he could find, nothing worked. The guards were watching his every move— Wifies was watching. Each time he was caught, a silent spark in his eyes whispered “Worth it”.
How he would try to unclip his wings every time to fly out— just for the shock collar to send an electric current to his neck.
He would constantly avoid Wifies. Burning his house down, attacking him, waiting every moment, every second, where he would launch himself on to him. He was desperate. He called this “hope”.
X2 would occasionally try to trap the spies, revealing their identities, as he would try to threaten them but Wifies always found out stopping him.
The once patient, caring, man had turned into a maniac. Countless all-nighters, carving out each plan on the stone wall, he really wanted to be free.
He wasn’t used to this. This may look like everything, a paradise. But a sinking feeling inside of him screamed this wasn’t right. He was forced to be here— for the sake of his friends.
Sure Wifies wouldn't hurt him, wouldn't lay a finger on him. But he definitely would to his friends, his allies, anyone innocent. And oh boy X2 hated people killing the innocent.
Why did Wifies fake his death?
Why did he do all these horrible things?
A few tears tracked down Parrot's face, catching in his fluttering lashes like dew on a leaf. A silent testimony to his sorrow.
He ran out of ideas, plans, anything really. Not a thought came into his mind.
That hope in his eyes shimmered away after days— months of fighting against Wifies. Everyday, even with the smallest hope in him, he would find a way to escape just to be caught every time.
Having exhausted every strategy, he collapsed against the cold obsidian walls; the tiny spark of hope he’d been holding onto finally flickered and died.
But now, without that hope, was Parrot really Parrot anymore? He wasn’t used to this. Being trapped with no freedom— little to no human contact. All of this severely impacted his mental well-being.
For so long he was resistant. Every day a battle, every breath a search for an escape. But eventually, the fire in him went cold.
He stopped fighting. His gaze turned hollow and dull as he held his knees against his chest in surrender. Just as he had lost hope, a new light flickered in his eyes— inside him.
It wasn't the old spark of freedom— of wanting to be free, out of Wifies captivity. But something far more twisted. His mental health declined and his brain screamed that Wifies was right. That he needed to be by his side at all times
His best friend was just trying to keep him safe. He didn’t need to escape. He no longer dreamt of leaving, he only wanted to be near Wifies, bound by a loyalty so strong just like their bond.
Parrot needed Wifies as much as he needed him. The feeling wasn’t mutual at first. Parrot wanted to be as far as possible from Wifies, every waking moment a new plan to escape, while Wifies wanted to keep him safe. He liked the idea of Parrot. He craved— desired the control he had over him.
He was always ahead. He knew exactly how Parrot acted in situations. He knew how his mind worked, and that even if Parrot had a glimmer of hope he would keep fighting back.
Wifies went to multiple psychiatrists pretending to have each of Parrot’s personality traits just so he could figure out what he would have done in situations. How he would react.
Though Wifies didn’t expect the sudden outcome of Parrot's personality change. He wasn’t familiar with it but didn't reject it. He thought at first that this was his new plan of escaping. Getting close to Wifies so he could swing that sword at his neck.
Little does Parrot know Wifies had an stasis ready. Catching him off guard was a lost cause; he was always scanning for the slightest threat.
Though Wifies always gave him an opportunity. Trying to see if Parrot really was genuine about giving up— Or he was using Wifies as a way to escape.
How Wifies would be armorless around him.
How Wifies would pretend to be afk around him.
Giving every opportunity as bait for him just to see how ever so tempted Parrot was. Yet just to see nothing, but a soft look in his eyes.
It's incredible how Wifies turned Parrot's frantic cries for freedom into a demeanor of gentle patience and understanding.
“Aren’t you ever so slightly tempted?” Wifies asked, for once a hint of curiosity in his eyes.
“What do you mean?” Parrot softly asked. Patience in his voice.
“How? I'm armorless doesn’t it make you wanna..” Wifies left a covert hint at the end.
Parrot frowned, his vibrant wings twitched, still pinned together by the jarring shock collar that rustled against his jacket.
“No dude! If I wanted that I would've geared up atleast!”
Wifies silently nodded. He was right but this alone wasn't enough evidence to back up that Parrot had really given up all hope. Parrot interrupted his thoughts as he asked to go mining. There they found the deep dark.
A few months before allowing Parrot to step foot in the deep dark or even before he was in the paragon, Wifies moved with an obsessive precision, purging the area of every sculk sensor. He was acutely aware of Parrot's intelligence to slip past a warden's monstrous detection, yet he wasn’t taking any chances.
He couldn’t bare the thought of losing his prize. The once scary dark caves, skull veins dangling from the wall, a place that should be the most dangerous in existence now rendered eerily safe only because of his obsessive control.
As Parrot focused on raiding the ancient cities chests, Wifies pretended to be afk or “zoned out”. Although Wifies expected an attack, Parrot was actually concerned for his well-being and walked over to give him a nudge.
“You good bro?” Parrot whispered with concern in his eyes.
Wifies took a moment to reply back so he wouldn’t seem like he's faking.
“Yeah im alright bro”
Wifies was puzzled. Was it possible Parrot had truly lost hope? This quick? He was expecting it to be much longer..up to a year. He had provided countless chances to strike, yet every time, X2’s response was one of genuine concern and worry.
With a smile, the first signs of warmth after the many months of being trapped here, Parrot grabbed Wifies and pulled him along.
“Lets get more loot!” He called out, running ahead while making sure to avoid tripping on the sprawling patches of sculk.
As the days lengthened, Wifies felt a fragile sense of trust begin to calcify. Parrot became increasingly entwined with his captor's existence, his dependency flourishing with every passing hour.
Though X2 had his own house he built by hand, he refused its shelter, choosing instead to remain close to Wifies. A bond that was inseparable. Their beds were positioned a mere block apart.
Parrot would occasionally fall asleep due to exhaustion of him and Wifies reading time. His head coming up to rest upon Wifies's shoulder in vulnerability. In these quiet moments, relief washed over Wifies.
At times Wifies would run his fingers through X2’s hair, tenderly stroking the locks, and twirling individual strands around his finger. Gentle lingering touches soothed Parrot. He enjoyed this.
Wifies didn't expect it, but weren't against it. He recognized the psychological contours of Parrot's condition. Stockholm Syndrome. Where the victim forms a desperate attachment to their captor. And that was Wifies.
Shortly after, Wifies started to give Parrot more freedom. Unclipping his wings, removing the shock collar, which left a red mark around his neck contrasting his tan skin of all the time it's been there.
Wifies didn’t even need his guards anymore. They were useless. He headed towards them as they stared back with bitterness with a mix of fear.
“Yes, Wifies?” One of the guards, presumably Leow0ok, placed down a sign.
“You guys can go.” Wifies said softly, his voice lacking the sharp edge it had held for months. He looked at the spies, his expression finally easing “Parrot doesn’t need any of you anymore. He is safe with me.”
The spies drank the milk bucket, a look of horror and peace washed over them. They could finally leave, no longer forced to be here. Though their friend Parrotx2 was now trapped here. He has given up into the hands of the director.
Before Wifies had faked his death, the guards were a final touch of the paragon. This paradise needed someone, a group of people to watch over Parrot. That was his own friends. Jumperwho, Leow0ok, and Derapchu.
They were all forced into this role as part of the Bounty Assassin Team to prevent their secrets from being leaked. One of their secrets was Jumperwho’s spies' identities getting leaked.
That was the only way Parrot would have gone to the paragon. Wifies would not threaten him with violence, never.
Parrot was safe though. He was comfortable right in Wifies arms. His head rested on his shoulder right where he belonged. Wifies held his best friend's hand tightly, never wanting to let go. He had full trust and so did Parrot.
This was their new way of life. Away from everyone. It wasn't lonely because they had each other. This was a world that they both have built. And at last his prize was safe.
“Smile Parrot, you’re finally safe.”
Out in the distance, the once guards of the paragon stood at the tall obsidian walls. A girl with long brown hair and pink heart-shaped glasses resting on the top of her bangs. Alongside with a pink bow, a sweater matching that color, and a pair of pink jeans. She stared out.
“This isn’t like him.” She muttered.
Derapchu's hand rested on her shoulder in a comforting gesture. “Its fine, Parrot is gonna figure something out.” He reassured.
But Jumper knew this wasn’t how Parrot was gonna escape. Not be so close to his captor, the director who has done all these horrible things. “I don’t believe it, we're going to send someone in.” She spoke through gritted teeth.
“No, he’s gonna leak all of our secrets,” Leow0ok said, stopping Jumperwho with a sharp, firm motion. He held her gaze for a long moment letting the threat sink in, before opening his mouth again. “Do you really want that? Our secrets.. Leaked to the server.”
Jumperwho stayed silent. Leow0ok took this opportunity as a win, dragging her out of the paragon.
“Parrot is gonna figure out one way or another don't worry, Jumper”
