Resounding Ensemble, The many consequences of the Yumenosaki idol and production courses

Summary:

Long after Yumenosakis first producer graduated, dozens of new students populate the campuses hallowed halls. Many with a degree of relation to the aforementioned first producer. The precious progeny of those who were worthy. Those who reach for the same stars.
Welcome back to Yumenosaki academy, the place where dreams come true.

Notes:

Hopefully this emulates the enstars style of storytelling somewhere along the line. And that I actually finish it.

Chapter 1: Prologue 1 - Tearstained wedding

Chapter Text

Tenshouin Eichi, a man born to die. He lived with the thought of all the experiences he would never get to see. That he would never have the happy days everyone else did. Ironically, he did live long enough and yet those happy days never fully came.

“Why such a sorrowful expression? Its your wedding day Eichi, show off that lovely smile~!”

He sighed, turning away from the mirror to face Wataru.

“I wish I could.”

Wataru's carefully crafted smile dropped, he was so much better at burying pain than Eichi ever could be…

“Eichi…” He lifted the blond’s chin, and rested their foreheads together. “Just think of it as another beautiful performance of ours. You play the lovestruck groom, and take your bride's hand with the same love you show the camera. Come now, try to smile.”

He glanced up to Watarus eyes, staring into their depths and praying with every inch of his heart that the same pit of despair could be found within them.

He couldn’t bear to think he alone was broken.

“I never thought I’d make it this long… so thats one thing to celebrate.”

“So keep that in your thoughts when you walk out for the crowd.”

“Wataru… you’ll stay right? Please dont leave my side…”

“I swear I wont miss a moment.”

Hibiki Wataru. The man who snatched up his heart and handed it right back before he could even take a breath. He ran a finger along Watarus cheek, observing every eyelash along those captivatingly mysterious eyes. He leaned in, stealing what was probably their last selfish kiss.

Wataru didn’t push him away, didn’t reject it in the slightest. But he was the one to pull away in the end.

“Just had to practice for the big performance,” Eichi said quietly. “And… say goodbye.”

“Right… well then, its time we lock up and bury this love affair of ours~ So seal it tight in your heart and put on a proper smile for your wife to be.”

They stepped apart, each putting on coordinated smiles.

“Farewell then, my Hibiki.”
