Work Text:
Oliver runs down the stairs and is met by an angry face.
“Where have you been?” Cooper interrogated before Oliver could utter a word.
“Trevors. I told you, he and I were gonna be working on some glitches on the app.” Oliver spoke as he swung his backpack off his shoulders.
“This late? You promised you would be home for dinner.” Cooper ranted.
Oliver didn’t even realize it was that late.
“I didn’t notice the time. I’ll be home earlier next time, dude.” Oliver reassured as he placed a hand on Cooper's shoulder.
“Don’t ‘dude’ me. You’ve been spending an awful lot of time with Trevor.” Cooper angrily stated as he shrugged Oliver's hand off.
“We’ve already had this fight before. Can we just continue this tomorrow, I want to hang out or something. We haven’t in a while.” Oliver says, trying to change the topic.
“Go hang out with Trevor. You’ve gotten good at that.” Cooper snaps back as he starts pacing in front of the couch.
“Don’t be like this, Coop,” Oliver begged as he sat on the couch.
“Be like what?” Cooper demanded.
Oliver took Cooper's hands making Cooper stop his pacing and brought him right in front of him.
“Cooper, is there a way you could communicate the way you feel right now in words? Lashing out isn’t gonna help us.” Oliver asked.
Oliver stared up at Cooper with begging eyes.
Cooper's eyes filled with water but he didn’t allow them to fall. After all, he’s mad over something selfish. He is mad because he selfishly desires Oliver all to himself. He didn’t want to share. But how was Cooper supposed to have Oliver all to himself if he can’t even man up and tell Oliver how he feels?
“I don’t like the way he looks at you, that's it.” Cooper admitted.
“Like what? Like he wants to kill me.” Oliver scoffed with a smile.
“No, like he knows how I feel and wants to steal it. He looks at you like he despises me.” Cooper mumbled. This is the closest his secret has gotten to the light.
“Wait what? Trust me he despises everyone, you should know that by now. And trust me you will always be my favorite best friend.” Oliver reassures as his thumb glides against Cooper's hand.
“But I don't want to be your best friend.” Cooper sobs.
He knows he looks unreasonable. He knows he shouldn't act like this but he can’t go back. He can’t act fine anymore. He needs this more than anything.
The tears finally fled Cooper's eyes.
“I’m sorry, I’m not following?” Oliver questioned in a confused manner.
“For a smart person, you are really thick-headed.” Cooper stated as he grabbed Oliver's face and pressed a kiss to his lips.
Just a peck. He pulls away. Olivers face frozen, Fuck, He just messed up. There is no going back. What was he thinking?
Before Oliver can actually register what happened, his hands instinctively cup Cooper's face, his fingertips tousled in Cooper's tamed curls.
He kisses him. Licking his bottom lip trying to taste everything. Oliver's hands travel upward grabbing the curls he loved and slightly tugging him. Cooper lets a whimper escape out of his mouth into Oliver's. Oliver takes it and lets his tongue slip in.
He can't take how far Cooper feels even though they are connected right now.
He grabs Cooper's waist and tugs him on top of him. Kissing him like he may never have this again.
Cooper is the one to break the kiss. Breathing heavy, eyes not leaving Olivers. God, he could get used to this.
“Dude.” Oliver breathlessly said.
“Dude.” Cooper smiled.
