Giyuu POV:
Giyuu felt a sharp pain in his back, his heart pounding from just defeating a demon. His chest exposed due to his uniform ripping.
His eyes felt heavy and walking felt like walking in wet cement. He felt pathetic. The headache he hoped would have disappeared by now has only increased.
He didn’t know where to go. But he knew he needed help. He knocked on a door. Breathing heavily. A familiar voice called through, but in his ears it sounded distorted. Giyuu tried speaking but almost everything came out incoherently.
"i didn’t know where else to go.."
was the last he said before everything went black.
Sanemi POV
Luckily today Sanemi got his well deserved break. Demon rates were low due to summer and the sun almost being up 24/7. it was 2am and the sun started to show up. Sanemi shrugged, even if the sun was up didn’t mean he couldn’t get some sleep in his schedule.
He had taken off his uniform, folding it neatly and putting his nichirin sword on a display by his futon. Everything was going smoothly and he was finally ready to close his eyes. Just when he was about to close his eyes he heard a weak knocking sound by his front door.
Thats weird, who could that be? He thought to himself. Taking the katana off the display and holding it tightly. As he opens the door he is met by the sight of that arrogant and emotionless water hasira. Just great. That’s when he took a better look.
Tomioka was breathing heavily, his upper part of the uniform ripped and his legs trembling. It was a shocking sight, never in his xx years of being a demon slayer has he ever seen Giyuu Tomioka this beat up. He called out to him hesitantly
"Tomioka? Why are you here?".
Tomioka took some time to respond. Once he did respond, Sanemi almost needed a hearing aid because of how incoherent he sounded. But he heard one thing
"i didn’t know where else to go..".
Before Sanemi could respond, the arrogant water hasira passed out. Sanemi caught him just in time. And he felt a pang of something he hadn’t felt in a long time… concern.
"Tomioka? Hello can you hear me? Tomioka! Giyuu!"
