Chapter Text

Hi guys! I've written this Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire inspired fanfic because I think we were all disappointed with the last season of the show lol, so I don't own any of the already existing characters in Game of Thrones, I have however, made my own, so I hope you enjoy!

Just a little disclaimer, I do not own any characters or books by George R. R. Martin, the original author, and I do not own any characters or shows from HBO, the platform.

Daenerys

I gasped, jolting up from wherever I was lying. I coughed and blood dripped down from my chin onto the ground.

The last thing I remembered was asking  Jon to break the wheel with me and then…he had betrayed me. Stabbed his own Queen. I glanced around and I saw Drogon, whimpering and staring at me. He let out a small growl and walked toward me, nudging me with his snout.

Where was I? Was I in some sort of a dungeon? Or worse, was I in a dungeon near the Wall?

But then Drogon would not be here, he would not fit in any of the puny dungeons they had at the Wall.

I sat up and looked down at my body, my clothes had a hole, presumably from where Jon, or perhaps I should call him Aegon, had stabbed me. But there was no wound. Neither was there a scar nor blood.

“Are you awake, your grace?” A soft voice spoke from behind me.
I grabbed my dagger instantly. “Who's there?” I asked, wary of the person lurking in the dark.

“Do not be afraid, Your Grace. I am Marvana, a Priestess for the mighty Lord of Light.” The woman stepped in front of me, she had long blond hair and hazel eyes.

“Where am I? Who has brought me here?”

“You are in Vesevos, the continent of Magic.” She spoke softly. “Your dragon has brought you here.”

“When? How many moons ago?” I stuttered.

“It was nine weeks ago, Your Grace.”

Nine weeks…

“And I have never heard of this Vesevos continent you speak of.” I cleared my throat.

“Ah, your grace,  it is a continent not many speak of. The wisest of men know not of this place. It is full of secrets, magic, and to your liking, dragons.”

“Dragons?” I scoffed. “Then perhaps this continent is also filled with those who hallucinate.”

She laughed. “You may see for yourself.” Marvana said, gesturing to the window.

I walked over to the large window and peeked outside. And by the gods, I nearly fell out of it.

There were dragons. So many of them. Some were golden, like Rhaegal, others were darker, like Drogon, some had green scales, as did Viserion.

“Marvana, was it?” I asked quietly.

She nodded and gave me a slight curtsy.

“What happened to me that day?” I swallowed.

“Your Grace, after you burned down King's Landing and killed Cersei and Jaime Lannister, Aegon Targaryen, the Sixth of  His name, murdered you in cold blood. Now, Brandon Stark, the Three eyed raven, is the King of the Six Kingdoms, and Sansa Stark is Queen in the North.”

“Impossible!”  I threw my dagger onto the floor. “That cripple cannot be fit to rule in my place! And that little wolf pup, Sansa, she's made it six kingdoms instead of seven, has she? The North being an independent Kingdom, I presume?”

Marvana nodded once more. “And after you died, Drogon burned down the Iron Throne, and flew away with your body. He brought you here, beyond the lands of men, to Vesevos.”

“If I did die, how could I possibly be standing here, speaking to you?”

“I resurrected you, Your Grace.”

“Resurrection?  Like what the Red Priestess did to Jon?”

“Yes.”

“And how can dragons exist here? When all of them except Drogon died?” I sighed.

“Your grace, when many centuries ago, Valyria was a thriving city, and two years after Daenys the dreamer had left with her family. There were a few families who believed Daenys and believed that Valyria would face certain doom, they decided to sail to Westeros. However, they faced a storm, five of their thirty six ships sunk, the others remained damaged and they washed ashore on Vesevos, their dragons flying in the skies over their ships. A total of 17 families had come with at least six or seven dragons in each family. So they brought-”

“A hundred and nineteen dragons.” I cut in.

“Indeed.”

“And what of Jon Snow? Where is he now?” I growled.

“He has been sent back to the wall and the Unsullied have sailed for the isle of Naath.”

“And what of my allies? Yara Greyjoy and Tyrion Lannister?”

“Yara Greyjoy wished to execute Aegon, as did Grey Worm, but the rest of the Small council would not allow it. And, Tyrion Lannister was the one who informed Aegon that you were like Aerys.”

“Tyrion had Jon murder me?!” I snapped. “I should never have trusted that Imp.”

“Your Grace, there is still hope.” Marvana said. “The Seven Kingdoms are a catastrophe under Bran the Broken's rule. People are distraught.”

“And who else is a part of the new Small Council?”

“There is Brienne of Tarth, Ser Bronn, Ser Davos Seaworth, Samwell Tarly and of course, Tyrion Lannister.”

“And what of the Great Council?  Who is part of that?” My hands curled into fists by my side.

“Sansa, Arya and Brandon Stark, Robin Arryn, Edmure Tully, Samwell Tarly, Yara Greyjoy, Yohn Royce, Gendry Baratheon, Brienne of Tarth, Davos Seaworth and Arianne Nymeros Martell's son, Doran Martell II.” She listed.

“All those traitors, and Yara as well?” I inhaled sharply. “How far are Naath and Essos from here?”

“Not far if you take your dragon, Your Grace.” Marvana smiled.

I knew where I had to go. I would go to Essos, Daario and the Second Sons would always help me. I should have taken him to Westeros with me, perhaps things would have ended differently. Then I would get the Unsullied back. This time Aegon Targaryen would suffer.

I pressed my forehead against Drogon's snout and he grunted softly, I then climbed atop his back.

“Thank you, Marvana, I shall not forget what you did.” Then, Drogon took flight, his wings flapping, striking like thunder.

I directed him away from Westeros and above the Shivering Sea. After a while, we had reached Essos, or Meereen, more specifically.

I had Drogon land on the tip of a pyramid and he roared, as if to tell everyone that Daenerys Targaryen was still alive. And the instant I saw Daario Naharis run out from one of the other pyramids, I knew he'd heard Drogon. And he looked stunned, he slowly walked towards me as I got down from Drogon, and he hugged me.

“How..?” He asked.
“I was resurrected, as Jon Snow was.”

“I wished you had taken me to Westeros with you when I heard what he had done. I spent day and night in search of you, my queen.” He kissed the back of my hand.

“I need your help, Daario. And this time, I shall make no mistakes. Send some of your men to Naath and call the Unsullied here.” I said.

He nodded and instantly sent fifteen of the Second Sons to Naath.

“And, now. We sail for Vesevos.” I smirked.

And I told Daario all about the things I had seen and been through.
