Chapter Text

It was a Saturday afternoon.
Exams were finally over, and we just wanted to spend a quiet day together.
Peem had to help his aunt with some deliveries, so I couldn't be with him right away.

I called the guys to ask if we could play at my place before I joined them later.
Beer and Mick arrived around ten o'clock. The plan was simple: try out Mick's new game, eat, keep playing, then around four o'clock everyone would go back to their own business.

Fang had slept over at my place the night before. He wanted us to watch a movie together, and the truth is, we were both alone.
Tan and Peem had organized a Friday night get-together with their high school friends the “outsiders” like us weren't invited. And honestly, that was fine. It was normal. Just as it was normal for us to organize a counter-party with between brothers.

I don't know what time their party ended, but by 11 p.m. Tan still hadn't joined us. Fang didn't say anything, but I could see he was getting impatient. My brother, always serious, had set up his homework on the kitchen table just behind the couch. He could work quietly while staying close to us. From time to time, he would glance at our progress in the game, make a comment, and then immediately return to his cutting.

At around 11:20, Tan called Fang.
I don't know exactly what they said to each other, but the important thing for us was that Tan, to apologize for being late, offered to bring us food.
Honestly, he should be late more often. We gave him our orders, and he set off.

Tan arrived around 11:50. He has the code to my place, so he got in without any trouble. Of course, he announced himself as soon as he arrived, impossible to miss him.

“HELLO MY FRIENDS!”

Then he walked over to Fang, leaned slightly toward him, and whispered in that honeyed, soft, and, dare we say, perfectly unbearable tone:

“Good morning, teerak.”

He put the food on the table, greeted us, asked us questions about the game, and calmly announced:

“I'm going to wash my hands and see my beloved khaofang.”

We heard the water running and plunged back into the quest. The RPG was difficult, but the concept and character design were truly excellent. Tan didn't know what he was missing.

He spoke quietly with my brother, who was sitting next to him, trying to be discreet... but all three of us clearly heard the distinctive sound of mouths kissing behind us. The lovebirds weren't even pretending anymore.
Tan then took the food for himself and Fang and accompanied her to the table. As for us, we wanted to finish the quest before eating.

We ate quietly, telling silly stories and explaining the lore to Tan.
Of course, I didn't have Fang and Tan constantly in my field of vision, but I could clearly see that they were holding hands under the table.
Who would have thought my brother was so clingy...?

After eating, Tan joined us for the quest. I may criticize him every day for a thousand different reasons, but I have to admit that he's a huge help in the game. We were on a team quest: Mick was leading the way, with Tan right behind him, followed by Beer and me.
At one point, Tan's phone rang.

“Guys, I'm finishing the quest and then you'll have to manage without me.”

We were so focused that we didn't pay too much attention. But once the quest was over, Tan got up for good, joined my brother, and announced that he was leaving us for an hour or two because he had to help Fang with “something.”

Honestly, I didn't want to know what that something was.

Two and a half hours later, Mick and Beer were gone. I had to meet up with Peem, so I took a peek into Fang's room before leaving.
And there... surprise.

He was asleep.

Snuggled up against Tan, completely glued to him, peaceful as ever. Tan, leaning slightly against the headboard, was on his phone. His hand was gently running through his boyfriend's hair, and he looked... happy.

Really happy.

Another domestic event I was allowed to attend.
Tan noticed me. He simply raised a finger to his mouth to ask me to be quiet, gave me a knowing wink, and smiled. Realizing that my brother wasn't going to move anytime soon, I quietly closed the door and got ready to leave.

As I left, I sent Tan a message:

I'm going to meet up with Peem. Have fun with your marmot.

He replied almost immediately:

Thanks bro, have fun with your kitten ;)
