Chapter Text
Minx loved her parents the way any kid would love theirs. She loved spending time with them, together and separately, even though her dad was always busy with his demanding job. No matter how hectic things got, he always made time for her and her mom. Seeing her parents happy — especially her mom — made Minx light up. She would beam whenever she saw them together.
To Minx, her parents felt like a fairytale, like Sleeping Beauty: her dad as Prince Phillip and her mom as Princess Aurora. That’s why she loved the movie so much, it reminded her of them. She felt truly happy with her parents because she felt loved and cherished, and she loved and appreciated them just as deeply.
Whenever Minx felt sad or weighed down, those feelings washed away the moment she saw her parents happy together, or even just being near each other. They were her comfort, her whole world and she knew she was theirs too.
Minx felt like the happiest girl in the world. No material thing could compare to what her parents gave her. They showered her with gifts, and she appreciated them, but they always paled in comparison to simply having her parents and their happiness. Their love was enough for her. Their embrace and warmth were enough for her.
Minx believed this happiness would last forever. Seeing her parents happy made her happy, and she wanted that feeling to last. A real happily‑ever‑after, like in the fairytales she adored. But fairytales are just fairytales.
