Work Text:

Ode to Disneyland’s Changing Face

In twilight's glow, where dreams take flight,
The magic realm, a wondrous sight,
With laughter danced on pathways worn,
And memories of days reborn.

Yet time’s embrace, a restless hand,
Brings forth change, a shifting sand,
As echoes fade of days gone by,
The old charm withers, and we sigh.

Those timeless rides with gentle grace,
Once painted bright, now lost in space,
Replaced by visions loud and bold,
In quest for new tales yet untold.

Yet still we wander, hearts in tow,
Through lands where stories ebb and flow,
The spirit lingers, faint but near,
A whisper of joy, a trace of cheer.

O, to hold those moments close,
With simpler joys, we’d cherish most,
But as the years in haste unwind,
We seek the dreams that fade behind.

So here's to magic, past and new,
To celebrate the charms we knew,
For though the park may shift and sway,
In hearts of many, it will stay.
