Chapter 1: “Whats with the attitude?”

Chapter Text

Germany was outside, staring directly at Italy trying to remind him of something when suddenly, “Germany Germany! Check out this new pasta recipe, I was wondering if you can help me make it?” Italy says with an excited tone and a innocent smile on his face, forgetting he has training today. “ITALY! Did you forget we have training today with Japan?! You’ve got to stop slacking off and take this more seriously.” Little did the tough guy know, this would be his last normal encounter with Italy.

Usually when it’s time for Germanys training, Japan always does it. In the other hand .. Italy is the one to always try and make up an excuse to skip training. The only way Germany can make Italy participate is if he lures him with pasta. But this time, Italy was not in his usual mood. “Italy! Italy! Are you slacking off again?! I better see you getting rea-“ “SHUT UP!.” Italy shouted. This was the first time Italy yelled that to him. Sure sometimes Italy would yell that when Germany accidentally embarrass him but this time, it was with anger.

“Italy? Is something wrong? You can skip training if you want, thats ONLY if you’re not feeling like your usual self!” Germany said with a guilty expression even though it wasn’t technically his fault. “Ah- Germany! Sorry ahaha.. I was just day dreaming..” Italy said as he opened his door with dark circles under his eyes, obvious that he didn’t sleep last night. “Let’s go outside now, sí?”

“Italy your excused. Go get some rest I can tell you haven’t slept last night, mind telling me whats got you up all night?”

“I- uh.. mm .. had a bad dream!” Italy hesitated. “So bad that I think I should skip training!” It was obvious the Italian boy was lying but Germany let it slide, he left with questions for Italy to later answer. Japan was watching the whole thing, eavesdropping, but left before Germany came back saying that Italy wasn’t feeling good so he couldn’t attend today. Japan knew the truth about what happened but dare not speak of it.
