Background:
Eddie and Reader have been relatively close for a while. Reader knows about Hellfire club and while they don’t play D&D, they think it’s cool. Eddie thinks that Reader is cool and knows that they LOVE strawberries so I mean… as a friend… to be nice… he wants to give them some [tooootally platonic guys ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ]. Well today is the day all of the seniors are having a field trip to the local science museum! Eddie wasn’t going to go but Reader also LOVES dinosaurs and science and stuff soooo why not? I mean it would be nice to hang out with your good friend, to see Reader happy and excited is nice….. PLATONIC-ALLY IN A FRIENDLY WAY! (he’s so down bad twin idek
FINALLY ONTO THE STORY:
Eddie got to school at 7am, for once, and went by the bus where everyone else was already waiting and quickly found Reader waiting with their backpack (of course they had a full backpack even though the field trip was gonna take up the whole school day)
“Hey” Eddie said as they walked up to them
“Hm?” Reader looked up at eddie from whatever they were looking at, probably a leaf, daydreaming as usual “Oh hi Eds”
“Why do you even bother bringing a backpack? Y’know we won’t be at school till the days over, right?” Eddie grinned playfully
“Okay but like- what if i wanna draw? I got my big sketchbook, a normal book, pencils, colors-”
“I’ll stop you there. When prey tell, are you going to do that? Hm? You’re gonna use your walkman all day and won’t even touch your bag” Eddie already knew what Reader always did, they overpacked and overprepared over the smallest of things and events
“..... yeah. But the weight of the bag is nice when I’m on the bus, I can nap” Reader retorted
“No you won’t”
“.... ugh I hate you”
“You wound me” Eddie joked back, it was fun annoying Reader, they always were dramatic but he 一loved一 uh- liked that about them.
“What’s in your bag then, smart boy? You never pack for anything what would you even-”
“Secret!” Eddie suddenly clutched his brown baggie of strawberries behind him “you can’t see it yet dumbo”
