Chapter Text
Chuuya looked at the finished paperwork on his desk, making sure that he didn't miss anything. Mori had specifically asked him to catalogue everything into dark coloured files- wanting them to be easy to read through. He picked up the paperwork and began striding to the boss’ office, once he reached the door he knocked thrice in a pattern that was meant for only his room entrances.
“Ah, Chuuya-kun! I was just about to ask for your attendance.” Mori greeted with a smile that never quite reached his eyes. ‘Ugh what does this old geezer need now?’ Chuuya complained to himself while still keeping a neutral face on the outside. He looked around for a bit until his eyes landed on the humanoid shape that was laying on a large velvet sofa in the small private corner in the boss's office…. is that..
“Dazai? Are you-” Chuuya found himself saying before abruptly cutting himself off. “Hm? Who…?” Dazai yawned before turning slowly, his eyes brightening as soon as he recognized Chuuya’s figure and ginger hair.
“Oh, hi Chibi!” He said smiling, his voice clearly strained from something. He looked tired, his brown eyes halfway closed– he must have just woken up from a nap. Chuuya tried to resist the urge to sit next to him, eventually giving up when he saw his "enemy's" pale hand, with clearly new slightly red bandages peeking out. “Did you…” Chuuya questioned, trailing off at the end when he noticed Dazai snuggling closer to him, closing his eyes shut.
He looked at the taller, but somehow very small looking boy that had managed to put his head on Chuuya’s lap– with an upset knowing look. ‘Again….? Hm, you actually look somewhat peaceful with your eyes closed… Gods, your eyebags have eyebags– I'm glad you're actually getting some sleep’ He monologued inside his head. Dazai opened his eyes again, still keeping them comfortably halfway closed as he examined the other teenager's face– presumably counting his freckles and tracing the corruption scars with his dark brown eyes.
His eyes finally landed on the boy's eyes, one light blue- one dark brown. Dazai found them mesmerizing, he could stare at them for an eternity. Chuuya put his hand on Dazai’s head ruffling his hair.
“Tell me if it bleeds through alright, don’t want your hand getting infected.” He worried with a stern but caring tone. Dazai looked at him for a while, confused– ‘Chuuya isn’t this worried usually, is something-’ the realization made him upset. (EXPLANATION: Chuuya blames himself every time someone close to him gets hurt! :/ This behaviour is mostly caused by the Stormbringer casualties T-T )
“Chuuya.. I-It’s not your fault..” He whispered into Chuuya’s palm with a small kiss after, his face turning into a red-ish pink tone– hiding his face into the other boy’s side. For a moment Chuuya didn’t say anything, Dazai thought that what he did was repulsive to Chuuya. ‘Oh no…. Chuuya definitely disgusted at me, he's going to hate me for the rest of our lives and-’ “Pfft” Dazai’s overthinking was cut short by Chuuya’s cackling. “I-Im sorry, i-HAH-i just got, oh gods, your j-just ado-adorable like t-that!” He said between laughs and wheezes, Dazai got even more flustered by Chuuya's compliment– hiding his face in his arms.
“I-I’m not a-adorable!” Dazai protested, only getting a small “Sorry Osamu.” from Chuuya which made him even more flustered ‘O-Osamu?! Chuuya called him by his first name??? AAAAAHHHH-’ Dazai screamed in his head, unable to calm himself down. When Chuuya finally stopped laughing, he noticed that Dazai was even more curled up and closer to him ‘Huh.. He looks just like a little black cat, curled up to his owner's side. He’s almost cute like this… What if i- NOPENOPE STOP THINKING ABOUT HIM LIKE THAT!!!’ his cheeks flushed red, face hot– turning his head to the side.
Chuuya calmed down easier than expected, taking a deep breath and lifting Dazai off his lap. He stood up going back to Mori who looked focused while writing something on his computer, he flinched slightly when Chuuya accidentally tripped over some bandages that Dazai must’ve thrown on the floor. “Ah, Chuuya-kun, how’s Dazai-kun doing?” Mori asked quickly, hiding his frustrated expression with the same unnerving grin that gave Chuuya the creeps. “He’s uhm, fine. I suppose, nothing too worrying. I’ll keep an eye on him, if that’s necessary.” Chuuya hesitated before returning to his professional face, he never showed the childish side of him in front of the boss anymore.
“That would be nice, please keep an eye on him– he seems more fatigued than usual. My diagnosis would suggest excessive blood loss, make sure that he eats enough.” Mori thanked, looking around his desk he picked up a folder and handed it to Chuuya. “This folder includes information for your next mission, it’s a long term mission where you and Dazai will attend the hero school in Musutafu. U.A, i recommend you start packing as soon as possible since your leave will be tomorrow morning. There is a packing list included in the folder, I wish you luck.” Mori informed while still smiling, ‘Creepy motherfucker.’ Chuuya thought as he turned around to walk to Dazai.
Dazai hadn't moved a lot, his hands now squeezing a pillow that he had taken from underneath Chuuya, “Can you get up?” Chuuya inquired, pointing at Dazai's hands. He tried to lift himself up, but failed miserably when the pain was too unbearable and his hand gave out. Chuuya made an audible “Sigh” noise and picked the other boy up with ease, Dazai was unprepared for the sudden motion and his vision went dark for a second before slowly returning.
“Mori gave us a new mission, something about going to Musutafu and attending U.A. I think you should read it first, and I swear to the gods if you miss any singular detail while telling me about it AGAIN. I will throw you through a wall.” Chuuya demanded, giving Dazai the folder and walking to the lounge they had secretly made. Dazai read through the folder as Chuuya dropped him on the lounge sofa “Oof! The slug’s such a bad dog!” He taunted “I’M NOT YOUR GODDAM DOG, STOP CALLING ME THAT ASSHOLE!” Chuuya exploded. “Such a violent dog! I should get you a leash-” Dazai provoked, earning him a slap “OW! Chuuya! That huurtt! Why would you hit meee! (╥﹏╥)” He whined. Chuuya just scoffed and turned his attention to the folder.
“So, what does it say? What’s our mission?” He questioned, looking at the folder from behind Dazai who was lounging lazily with the folder sideways in his hands. Chuuya straightened the folder and read it outloud “For this mission, executives Nakahara Chuuya and Dazai Osamu will infiltrate U.A, the purpose is to find information on the ‘League Of Villains’ a rogue organization that has been threatening the Port Mafia’s mafiosos that reside in Musutafu. The two executives will be staying at the school’s dormitories during the mission, they will be attending class 1.A, with a teacher named ‘Eraserhead’, real name Aizawa Shota, an underground hero.”
“Really? Heroes and villains, are they being serious? Is this all a big joke?” Chuuya said unimpressed. “We should find out about our future classmates, right Chibikko?” Dazai exclaimed with fake enthusiasm, pulling out an information page from the folder. “I suppose that would be necessary, you’ll explain the abilities and how we can beat each one.” Chuuya insisted, moving Dazai’s legs so he could sit next to him. “Of course I will Chuchu!” Dazai vowed.
