Nothing can last forever.
Hearing the raspy voice, Misty woke up in fright.
She looked around, and there was Maretime Bay, or what's left of it. Building left in ruins, decaying and withering in just a second. The flora, one fresh, withered and became ash. No other pony was there yet all that remains in their place were bones.
“Wh-where am I? What is this?” Misty stuttered, examining the harsh environment. “What is happening? What is going on?!”
“This is what will happen,” a mysterious, yet smoothing feminine voice spoke.
Misty then turned round, and saw a mysterious creature, clearly not a pony, covered in a black silhouette. This mysterious being can be described as a huge giant with a veil covering the head. A pibo was around the being, magically floating. The face has a strange third eye in the middle of its forehead. It was also covered in a black silhouette, but the white eyebrows from the three eyes are glowing in a white aura.
As it started to speak, its eyes began to open. “Hello, Misty…”
Out of a cold sweat, Misty woke up from her bed.
It happened again. The pony thought, as she got out of bed.
It started a few weeks ago after Wish Day, when the wishing star fell from the night. At first, Misty thought it would go away, but over and over, the vision of a silhouette showing Misty the aftermath of the destruction of Maretime Bay would repeat over and over again. It was cruel and miserable, yet it was impossible to ignore from her mind.
It was very early, in the middle of night like last time. Misty tried to not think of her nightmares, but it keeps getting worse. It always gets worse. Misty sigh, and get out of her bed. The unicorn quietly trotted across the room, with her friends asleep. She enters the Brighthouse’s lift, and gets transported to the first floor. As she roams, the doors to the magical room appear, giving Misty entrance to the magical room.
In the secret room of the Brighthouse, Misty was practicing her magic in her secret room, wanting to forget her nightmares. Reading her book, she was preparing a new spell.
“Alright, so if I do this, then…”
She then noticed a violet book, which fell down to the floor. The title was strange, saying, “The Origins of Unity Magic.”
“Huh, that looks interesting…”
Misty tries to grab the book, but the book suddenly moves on its own, escaping Misty’s hoofs.
Misty attempted again, and tried to get the book. But each time, the book escapes from her hooves, a step ahead the pony. After a while, Misty was very tired. The voice of the room then spoke.
“Do not read this book, young one.” The voice of the magical room said to Misty, “unless you are prepared to face the dark truth.”
Misty, who heard the voice, thought of it, and with a sigh said, “I am ready… I think?”
The book then moves toward her, opening the pages to reveal an important scene. The speaker spoke, ”very well, Misty, but be warned, for your soul is connected to this forgotten history.” As the voice stopped speaking, a bright light covered the room.
Misty opened her eyes and found herself in a place that feels like paradise.
‘In the age of Twilight Sparkle, there were many who changed Equestria, but no one changed the world more than the true first owners of unity magic,’
“The true owners?”
As she spoke, six silhouettes, each unique in shape, appeared.
‘These owners, were the ones who appeared after the last group of harmony, who spread their powers and ideas of unity with their elements: ‘Faith, Truth, Optimism, Life, Passion, and Liberty.’
‘This diverse group of creatures each proved themselves worthy of their power and wisdom, unparalleled to any other in Equestria. They brought the golden age of Twilight, bringing peace, prosperity, and enlightenment.’
‘Indeed, not only ponies, but also other creatures can use the magic of unity.’
“They were not all ponies, that’s interesting… but why-”
‘They looked like this, for their original forms were erased from history.’
‘Atlas, that age was short lived, when the Champions had disappeared…’
‘…and then they appeared.’
The scene changed dramatically, thunder striking the air, and the sky darkened, and with the heroes replaced with monstrous beasts. The first beast resembles a demon, with 2 pairs of bat-like wings, who carry a sword, and slice down her victims in the flames, cackling. The second beast has wings made of darkness and struck their victims down with a magical strike of darkness, making the moon eclipsed, and his victims were no more. The third one shows a being with a pibo, who raised her forepaw and obliterated everything into ash and dust, apathetic of what’s being destroyed. The fourth one wore armor and carried a spear, pointing at a direction, and an army charged at said direction, conquering everything in the way, marching the conquer’s fury. The fifth one rose from the sea, and with a remorseful sigh, pointed to her enemies, and the sea obeyed and attacked. The last one was a jester, waving their eye scepter, and brought forth conflict and violence towards ponies and other creatures, fulfilling her excitement.
‘These evil beasts appeared, each one defeating and corrupting the original elements…’
‘…and resulted into the elements of Fear, Deceit, Misery, Death, Obsession, and Tyranny.’
‘These beasts, also known as the Calamities, began their crusade of destruction, bringing great evil following them.’
‘No hero of harmony could ever defeat them, not even Princess Twilight Sparkle. But when all seems lost, the Tree of Harmony steps in. The spirit was able to defeat, and locked the Calamities away into a new form for the tree to stand.’
“That felt like a lot of someone I know,” Misty said in a timid tone, remembering what happened to Opaline.
‘Their powers, or what’s left of it, was gathered by Twilight, then she purified the magic, cleansing it from the darkness, and transforming… into the Unity Crystals.’
“What?!”
‘Only those who proved themselves worthy could have their true power, but those who understand unity could access this power, but only a fraction of the purified power.’
‘Oh, Misty, please learn from the forgotten past to create a new, better future…’
‘…for your soul is bound by theirs.’
Misty, shocked from what she read, was in a state of mind, anxious and curious of what she learned. What if she and the rest of her friends became Calamities themselves? Who were the Calamities themselves? Does anyone know about the Calamities? And most of all: how is she connected to all of this?
“Hey Misty, are you okay? Is there something wrong?”
Misty froze, and looked, only to see Sunny carrying a bowl. Sunny was an earth pony who showed hope to other ponies, and a natural leader. Misty’s and Sunny’s friends soon arrive. There is Hitch, an earth pony stallion sheriff who is fair and kind, and riding on him is Sparky the baby dragon, an adorable yet powerful dragon. There is Zipp, the bravest princess pegasus there was. There is Pipp, the younger sister to Zipp, an influencer who shows confidence. And there is Izzy, Misty’s first friend and a very creative unicorn.
“Uhh… nope! Everything is fine!”
“Misty,” Zipp said, “I know you’re bad at hiding things, so just say it.”
“NO!” Misty shouted and stuttered, “i-it’s just that, it’s best for you to not know it.”
“Oh, come on! It’s not as if we face bigger threats than Opaline.”
“I-I just wanted to… visit the Isles of Scaly and see Spike! Yeah, that’s it!”
“Really, why?”
“ZIPP!” Pipp shouted, “Can you just stop asking questions to Misty?! It’s annoying! We can trust her.”
“I have one,” Misty said, defending herself. “It’s about the past. I want to know more about it!”
“Alright, but how do we even get there?”
As Zipp finished what she said, Misty’s Cutie Mark, a colorful butterfly, suddenly glows brightly. This shocked the group, but Sunny was very excited, absolutely knowing what was happening.
“Uhmm, wha-”
“I KNOW WHAT IS HAPPENING!!!” Sunny shrieked with eyes wide, startling the ponies. “Misty, you are being summoned somewhere!”
“Okay, but where do we go, and how to get to the unknown place?”
Sunny was about to answer, only to pause in realization, “I… have no idea…”
Suddenly, a copy of Misty’s Cutie Mark soon appears, glowing and soon floating somewhere.
“Never mind, I guess we follow that.”
Soon, the group of friends follow the shining light, which leads to…
… the Together Tree?
“That’s strange. Why here?” Sunny said, confused of why the light brought them here.
As the Mane 6 approaches, soon the floating Cutie Mark transforms into a shining, flaming portal. This shocked the group, seeing how it just appeared. Misty then approaches the portal, and enters. Hitch tries to follow her, but as he is about to enter, the portal just disappears.
“Uhhhh, that just happened,” Hitch said.
“Oh no, I just hope Misty is alright,” said Pipp, eyes shrink and hoof over her mouth.
“Don’t worry, Pipp. Anyone who is summoned from that will be alright, and I would know from Dad’s notes, so Misty won’t get hurt,” Sunny said to Pipp, giving her assurance.
The next thing Misty sees after entering the portal is the Isles of Scaly. She turns around, only to see the portal disappear. Misty began to panic. Oh no! Why did I do that?! Wait, calm down Misty! These dragons are our friends now! They can trust you, so you can trust them! Misty took a deep breath. Okay, I am here for a reason, so maybe I can talk to Dragon lord Spike so I can be back home.
“Hello there, little pony.”
Misty turns to see Blaize in front of her, with a stern face, scaring the pony, which leads to stumbling towards the other dragons. Thankfully, Luxxe helped Misty to get off the ground, “hey, Misty! Long time no see! What are you doing here?”
“Hello Luxxe, I’m here to meet with Spike!”
“Ahem! It is Dragon Lord Spike, got it?” Blaize corrected the blue unicorn.
“Blaize! That is not how we treat our new pony friends.” The unicorn and dragon turned towards the source of the voice, revealing a larger purple dragon with green spikes.
“Hello there, I believe we didn’t have a proper greeting. I am Dragon Lord Spike, but you already know that, so just call me Spike.”
“Oh! I’m Misty! It’s nice to meet you, my lord.”
“You don’t need to say, ‘my lord,’ we’re friends!”
“ …Alright! So, I have a few questions about the past.”
The dragons go offensive, but Spike raises his claw, ordering the dragons to back down. “It’s alright, so go ahead of what you want to ask. Is it about the villains we face, or the adventures we have?”
“Okay, so…”
“Go one, just say it.”
“…what do you know about the Calamities?”
The dragons, hearing this, show a sign of disapproval, even Spike showing a heart aching expression. Misty was confused with what was happening. The dragons were about to attack Misty, but Spike once again ordered them with his foreclaws.
“Sorry about that. It’s just… even though they are very terrible creatures, I am… in a dilemma, more or less.”
Blaize’s head moves towards Misty. “How do you even know this forbidden knowledge?”
Misty, startling at the backlash, said to the magenta dragon, “First of all, I only know them from a magical book. And second of all, why are you conflicted, Spike?”
“It’s because of the remaining sanity in them. I saw them do things no heartless villain would do.”
“Really, what did they do?”
Spike scratched his back, “they had done terrible things: they had taken many lives and chained their souls, destroyed homes and conquered kingdoms, reshaped the land and creatures into chaos, led creatures into the depths of despair, and annihilated all those opposing them…”
“And?”
“There were survivors that saw them interacting with each other. There were sights of them… bonding with each other. Strange, but that doesn’t excuse what they did! Good thing they lost!”
“But how were they defeated?”
“I was there when the Calamities were defeated. I can show you where if you want to know.”
Misty nodded, showing her curiosity. Spike stood up, letting Misty on his back. They were about to leave, but Tumble stopped them. “Can we join you? After all, some of us don’t remember that happening.”
“Of course, you all deserve to know.”
The Dragon Lord lifted his wings and flew, with the dragons following him, leaving the Isle.
Unknown to all, deep in the jungle, there was a pink, delegate dragon sword. On the sword was a gem, shaped as a fire, with small crystals, with two lightning shaped on the sides and an arrow on the top, making it look like a sword.
A claw reached out, and glowing pink eyes appeared, and a sharp grin appeared.
“Well, Wuxu, I found her for you.”
Misty was enjoying the flight and view. Riding on Spike, she saw Bridlewoods, Maretime Bay, and even Zephyr heights. She also saw the whole world of Equestria, or rather what is left of it. There were many things she saw, such as the tall mountains, the bodies of water, and wide forests. Misty then saw a giant tree with pink leaves.
The dragons arrived at said giant tree. As they landed, Misty’s cutie mark glowed and a light was pointing toward the tree. Misty landed onto the ground, and approached the tree. As soon as she touches the tree with her hoove, a shining purple light appears, and soon reveals a sparkling version of…
“Princess Twilight?” Misty questions.
The newcomer shook her head. “No, Misty. I am the Tree of Harmony, which created this form to speak.”
“Yo-you’re the Tree of Harmony?” Misty asks.
“That is the truth. If you have a question, just talk to me.”
“I have one!” Luxxe shouted, raising her foreclaw, “why did you use her form as a body?”
“She was a symbol of harmony and light when my mind came to be, and is somewhere here, still lingering in Equestria.”
“I also have a question,” Lava said, “Since most of us weren't there, how did we manage to defeat them? You know, the Calamities?”
Hidden to the group, the projection shed a tear as she spoke, “It’s best to show you, instead of telling.”
A shining light bursts and spreads from the sparkling alicorn, engulfing the group, and when the light disappears, the group opens their eyes and sees the scene, and what is happening.
The world was burning
and the virtues have fallen;
their evil twist and corrupts
the lives they have stolen
Twilight Sparkle, wounded along with many warriors, were on the brink of doom. There were fallen, with the Calamities in front of them, each with different colored eyes, but instead of black pupils like normal creatures, they all have white slit pupils.
“So, ‘your majesty,’ what scheme will you do next?” The one behind said, who was in armor, with their helmet’s eye holes glowing white, mocking their enemies with a cold voice.
“It doesn’t matter, after all,” said the large one, with her white eyelashes glowing since her eyes were closed.
“Indeed it doesn’t not,” another said in a depressing tone with glowing dark blue eyes.
“But don’t worry. You’ll die, knowing what will happen to Equestria,” the fourth with the heterochromia eyes of greens said, mocking the princess.
“We will take your miserable lives and end it!” The fifth proclaimed who has red eyes of fury.
“And all shall bow to the true masters of this world!” The last said with joy, showing their pink eyes, but their slit pupils are more horizontal.
“…No…”
“What? I can't hear you!!!!!”
“…I said…”
Before Twilight finishes her sentence, six giant magical staffs shoot out of the sky, and then aim at the Calamities. The dragon, seeing this, attempted to reach her paw out, hoping for someone to latch onto, but was blocked by one of the giant staffs. Suddenly, as each stick blocks and surrounds the remaining Calamities, magical tree roots grow out of the ground. The Calamities attempt to break free, but each fails to escape. Soon, the roots transform into the same giant tree that is now in the present.
As the dark clouds shifted away, six gems fell down off the tree’s branches. One was shaped as a light yellow hexagon, another was shaped as a red flame, another a pink droplet, a White 4-pointed star, a turquoise diamond, and a blue circle, all dropped and tumbled towards Twilight.
But she cried, knowing that the damage was done, and there was so little of what she could do.
Misty and the Dragons soon open their eyes, shocked by what they saw.
Misty realized, “she was there…”
“That’s what happened?" Fountain asked, "that’s the truth?”
The Twilight doppelganger nodded. “That was the only way to save both Equestria and them,” the tree spoke in a sorrowful tone.
“Uhh… What do you mean, ‘both Equestria and them?’” Fountain asked.
The avatar, for the first time in its existence, shed a tear, “ …because of a promise.”
The dragons and Misty gasped, hearing what the avatar said. “Y-you are serious?!” Jade shrieked, “they are pure evil!”
Spike, hearing that, turned to the white dragon, “Hold it, Jade! I know you are mad, but I want to know something.” He then turned to the spirit, “Who did you promise to, and why?”
The spirit, watching the conflict, merges into the conversation, “Spike, I also promised to keep their identity a secret.”
The sparkling alicorn then raised its wings, “however, I can show you why!”
Again, another bright light shines onto the group, showing another memory. This time, the memory was something a few years before the Calamities appeared.
A new scene takes place, showing the avatar talking to a very disturbing creature: a pony with only its skull as its head, covered in a cloak made of darkness.
“What are you saying?” The being of light asked the one of darkness.
It then spoke: “Even though it is a golden age of this world, I fear that it could change for the worse. You lost connection to all the other elements but one, and where I see, corruption has taken root onto Equestria- no, the entire world! I hate to believe this, but there is no denying it. The elements…”
“…failed their mission.”
The Tree’s spirit brings her hoof on her mouth, before giving a small gasp from the darkness’s revelation. The light thought about it, and ask the darkness: “When what we need is-”
Misty woke up, and saw the dragons knocked out, and were recovering when they saw the one in front of them.
There in front of them, is a small bipedal dragon with huge wings. There were also wings on her lower back and wings on the back of her head which covered her face, making a total of six wings. The dragon’s appearance is a living silhouette, so no one could see her true form. She wields a giant sword, and on the cross guard there is the element of obsession, a hot pink gem shaped as a flame.
“Luci,” Spike grunted.
“Well, well well, look what we have here, Spike and seven dragons, and a pony, a unicorn no less!”
“Y-your one of the Calamities, aren’t you?” Misty asks, trying to stand her ground, facing the pink beast.
“And you're the one Xuwu wants, aren’t you?!”
This was shocking to the pony, “what?! What do they want from me?”
“Don’t play dumb with me!” the pink succubus approaches her with her… scythe? Where did she get that? I thought it was a sword? “She told me who you are: a weak, cute, and very vulnerable, blue unicorn with a butterfly for a cutie mark.”
“What do you mea- wait what did you say about me?” Misty paused at the comment.
“Don’t listen to her, she’s gonna fall!” Leaf roared and blew his magical fire, shooting magical leaves to attempt to hit Luci, only for the Calamity to raise her scythe, and it changed into a giant battle axe! Apparently, her weapon can change forms!
“Like leaves?”
“Really Luxxe? This is not the best time when we’re gonna fight!”
“Wait, we’re gonna fight?”
“YES! WE! ARE!”
Misty tried to intervene, “wait-!” but the battle can’t be stopped.
Lava charged at the demon, but she swung her axe, easily knocking the red dragon with one hit. Lava was thrown at Tumble and Jade, but both quickly dodge, only to get knocked out from Luci by charging at the two, leaving 5 more victims in her eyes. Leaf tried to blow fire again to attack her, but Luci then blew her fire out of her mouth. As she blows, the fire she produced screams, the flames shaped like ghosts, wishing to be free from their abusive master.
Before Leaf could realize what he saw, Luci kicked him out, being the next to be defeated. Luxxe, being scared of what will happen if she is the next one to face Luci, came up with an excuse, “Miss Luci, I forgot to do something back at home… ”
…Only to be uppercut by her, and knock her out. “Sorry, but I don’t tolerate cowards.” She then turns to Fountain, who's just paralyzed from the conflict, and just faints. Luci turns to find and fight Blaize, only to be punched by her, and is flinged into the ground.
As she tries to stand her ground, molten rocks, small tornados, and ice shards shoot out and attack her in all directions. Those attacks were from Lava, Tumble, and Jade respectively, who quickly recovered and did a counter attack onto the Calamity thanks to Spike and his teleportation fire. Soon, Leaf, Luxxe, Fountain, and Blaize joined the attack, and blasted their firebreaths to Luci. It looked like Luci was going to be down for the count…
“…Seriously, is this the best you can do?”
She raised her claw, and her weapon magically returned to her. She then transformed the weapon into a sword again, and-
SHING
A magical slash, and it knocked out all the dragons within her range were knocked out, and out of the battle. Misty and Spike were still okay, but were hurt from the impact.
“Ready to give up?” Luci grinned, knowing that she won.
“N-no, I can’t,” Misty still stood, yet trembling inside, her heart sank and her lungs out of air.
“And why is that?”
“I am doing this for my friends. I faced villains just like you,” she panted, yet she still stood, “I won’t let you do what Opaline has done.”
There was a pause, “did you say Opaline? As in Opaline Arcana?”
What?! Misty was surprised like the reader, “Y-You know her?”
She giggled, “know her?”
She then laughed, “know her?”
Luci then grinned and in a terrifying voice: “KNOW HER?!?!?!”
Luci then approaches the unicorn, but with a strange yet horrifying sparkle Misty could sense, “SHE IS MINE! SHE IS THE REASON WHY I AM HERE! WHY I STILL EXIST! SHE GAVE ME A PURPOSE. SHE IS MINE AS I AM HERS.”
This confused “What?! Don’t you know what she did to our kind?!”
“Make us extinct and harvest our dragon fire?” Luci scoffed, giving a bigger grin, “good, then it is her.”
“But she tried to kill our baby dragon!" Misty attempted to reason with her enemy. And yet, the dragon smirked.
“THAT’S EVEN BETTER!”
“ …What?!”
Luci then grabbed Misty by the neck, and held her so the unicorn could see her demonic face, still covered from her extra pair of wings, “US DRAGONS ARE NOTHING BUT OLD RELICS OF THE PAST! OUR NEAR IMMORTALITY IS A CURSE! IN THE END, YOU CAN’T CHANGE THE WORLD, EVEN IF YOU CAN LIVE FOREVER!”
“You’re wrong, Luci,” Luci and Misty turned to Spike, who was still there, attempting to stand, wobbling in his task, and faced the demon.
“It’s true that nothing lasts forever, but that shouldn’t be an excuse to do evil acts! Your obsession shouldn’t be your way of life!”
Luci, offended by this, dropped Misty, and angrily marched towards the Dragon Lord, “you have no right to judge me!” But before she could swing her sword, a living silhouette of a hand appeared out of a large portal, grabbed and stopped the dragon from attacking.
“That is enough, Luci,” a feminine, yet monotone voice from the portal commanded Luci, “we can do this later, after all, she is not a threat.” The dragon turned towards the large being, shocked from what her ally said, but ultimately resigned with a tsk, and went into the portal.
“That’s right. Remember, we are doing this to show how the only reason they lived wasn’t because they won, but because we chose their fate.” The Calamity then turned towards Misty, and faced her. Misty’s eyes widened, her heart skipped a beat, for the Calamity’s face was the same from her dreams! “Y-you-!”
“We will meet again, Misty Brightdawn,” with her face covered in darkness, grinning in white light. The portal disappeared after that. Leaving their victims tired, hurt, and shocked.
“Tha-that was way too close for comfort!” Luxxe shouted, breaking the silence.
“I’m sorry for not helping, but 2 Calamities have awakened, SO WHAT ARE WE GONNA DO?!?!” Fountain panicked, reflecting the bigger problem with not just one but two villains.
The avatar suddenly reappeared, and sighs in shame, “atlas, the only thing I can do is to show the rest of the memory, to prepare you for the next time you face them.” As she spoke, a bright light emerged to reveal what was interrupted from the last vision.
“…new elements. A new generation to carry the mantle to- No, new virtues that can not just surpass, but can help the old elements, ” the light answered.
The darkness agreed, “this is the best solution we have, let us see what we can do, ” then held a piece of paper, and wrote the elements: Faith, Truth, Optimism, Life, Passion, Liberty.
The two then brainstormed the strengths, weaknesses, and what could be strong with or without the elements. It took many attempts to find the best new elements for the next generation, but finally, they found it! The new elements are: Confidence, Kindness, Creativity, Bravery, Hope, Empathy.
The Light smiled, “behold, the new elements for the next generation,” its smile then turned into a frowned, “atlas, to truly create the new elements, we need the current elements, and so it will take time to connect them."
The Darkness, trotting away, let out a sigh, “let us hope that the corruption didn’t go too far. I must go now, I need to tend to my duties, to slow down the rooted evils before it gets too deep.”
And so, it left, leaving the Light to complete the magical connection.
“…Whoa,” Lava said when the memory faded away. Misty and the dragons were in shock, now that the truth was revealed.
“So is that why I am targeted?” Misty asked, finishing processing the information, “since I am one of the new Elements, and they see me as a threat…”
“Yes, but it’s much worse,” the tree’s figmentation frowned. “Your Element is connected to the one you instantly recognized, the Calamity of Death, but I feel that there is more than that. Much worse.”
The Avatar then patted Misty on the shoulder, and answered, “Misty, I fear if you are her reincarnation.”
“…What? How?”
“Souls are connected, but there are some very special cases that can survive and become something else, thus how reincarnation works, like Princess Mi Amore Cadenza. But when I cast the spell to imprison them, their souls must have been affected, splitting their souls, which resulted in you, and possibly your friends.”
The Avatar continued, “atlas, somehow I can’t remember who’s connected to who. My memory is affected, twisted so that I can’t tell what elements are connected. This, in both good and bad, isn’t important, as you and your fellow Calamity share the same aura, or sparkle, so one way or another, you will meet them.”
Misty sighed, “…and I already know who I must face: Wuxu, my Calamity.”
The Avatar nodded, “Indeed, it is inevitable for you and Wuxu to meet. Your Heart, your Empathy must face Wuxu’s Death.”
Spike, fully understanding the grim situation, turned to Misty and explained his thoughts, “I believe you must talk to your friends, as they are connected to the 5 remaining Calamities. As you face the Calamity of Death, they each must face the Calamities of Deceit, Misery, Fear, and Tyranny, as well as Luci.”
The Twilight doppelganger raised her hoof, and opened a portal, revealing the way to return to Maretime Bay, “Misty, you know what must be done, now go!”
Misty, understanding the assignment, first turned to the dragons, who also nodded, “you can go, we can go back to the Island of Scaly and try to find where the Calamities are,” Tumble reassured the unicorn.
Misty nodded back, and leaped into the portal…
…and crashed back inside the Brighthouse.
Misty stood up, recovering from the fall, saw Zipp and Sunny looking at her from their books on the table, Izzy poked her head to see what the noise was, and Pipp was looking behind the couch, which all the mares were shocked, seeing Misty back after a few hours. After a moment of silence, Izzy finally spoke, “So Misty, what happened? Did you find out what you need to do?”
Misty, with a gulp, answered, “there’s something I need to tell you…”
"!?Why did you not let me finish the job"
"!?We could have killed Misty with just one blow, and yet you want to let her live"
"...hehehe..."
"?Wh-why are you laughing”
“You are so blinded, my friend, it was I who called her to the tree.”
“!Well, Wuxu, what is the brilliance in your plan? Cause all I saw was a pony who can’t do anything”
“Exactly.”
“!?HUH”
“Misty couldn’t do anything, she only survived because I let her live. You only fought the dragons, and she did nothing. She tried to reason with you, and yet you struck her heart with your answer.”
"...Interesting"
“Indeed, for that is my plan. I need her element to truly bring true enlightenment into the world, and the only way to retrieve it…”
“…is for her to embrace the powers of Apathy and Death.”
To be Continued...
