Work Text:
you knew you were in trouble the moment you walked into his office. after hours, lights off, curtains drawn. personally, you thought this was a bit unnecessary—you handled yourself well out there, given the circumstances! but it didn't change the fact that your mission had gone so terribly wrong, it warranted a meeting with the strongest himself.
who was sitting on the couch, long legs crossed at the ankles and head tilted back to watch you. sharp jaw and covered eyes. a strong trace of cologne, something far more expensive than you could afford.
"satoru." you nodded stiffly. "you called?"
"yeah." his voice was too steady. "find your mission okay?"
he was baiting you, and you knew it. "listen, i got the job done so i don't really get what all this fuss is about. it worked out great, didn't it?"
an eyebrow cocked up. "did it?"
your jaw twitched. you could sense the tension crackling in the room, even if satoru was pretending like it didn't exist. you couldn't tell what this man wanted from you. "i really can't tell if you're seriously mad about it or not, satoru, with that stupid blindfold of yours—"
"then take it off."
your eyes widened, caught off guard. take his blindfold off?
"your infinity won't let anyone touch you," you muttered but it sounded bleak, even to you.
you could feel his intense gaze through the coarse fabric of his blindfold. his voice slipped out once more, indifferent.
"it's off. you can touch me."
fine. what's the worst that could happen? setting your jaw, you leaned over him, knee pressed between his legs and a palm on his chest to steady yourself. you huffed, "you're pretty difficult sometimes and it's annoying. maybe consider acting less like a spoiled brat."
your fingers brushed against his hair as you slipped the mask off, eyes tilting down to meet blue ones for just a second before—
his lips were on yours in an instant.
your pulse scattered. all you could focus on was his lips on yours, his calloused hand strong on your back as he dragged you closer.
"you said you weren't mad." your voice stuttered when you pulled away, lips tingling. gojo wasn't helping your case, dark eyes raking over you like that.
"you disobeyed a direct order," he said coolly, running his tongue over his bottom lip. "you put yourself at risk and didn't wait for backup. i had to meet with the higher-ups on your behalf. why would i be mad?"
oh. he was furious, and he was about to let you know so too.
