I snapped out of the trance that the message put me in “What the actual hell…” I look around and realize I’m on the beach where you start Genshin Impact “The tutorial area? Humorous… This is quite literally the basics of an isekai story or fic, probably being filmed by the 4th wall right now” Sighing while recalling the message I searched for my outfit for the map “There you are…” I examined the map. It seems to be completely filled except for Nod Krai which as I recall was the only storyline I haven’t done yet due to focus on other games(Limbus, Ruina, and HSR).
I put the map away begin to walk with the nearest statue of the seven in mind, “Let’s see if Teyvat considers me a descender”

After a solid minute of walking(and checking to see if those chests at the beginning were looted by The Traveler) I arrived at the statue of the seven… A small problem though, it’s surrounded by water, and even if I didn’t have as big a fear of water as some bloodfiends, I still couldn’t swim. Luckily I can just jump across but still if I couldn’t I would’ve had to go to Windrise to check. Anyway I tapped the Statue of the Seven and waited… and waited… And waited, nothing happened, so I just jumped back to land and went on my way through that little forest where you first see Venti and Dvalin.
After I walk through that I see Mondstadt and “The Symbol of Mondstadt’s hero”, I wander around for a bit after that as I have no current reason to go to Mondstadt or to join the adventurer’s guild which wasn’t a major one, and ran into one of those mini Hillichurl camps you’d see while exploring, you know the ones with like one shaman and like 3 regular churls at most, they don’t even look different from the game so I conceived a most ingenious idea, and ran up and punched the shaman in the face(mask?). So fun fact a 1st kindred punching you in your weak point unexpectedly and at full strength equals death! Fun right, well for me, not them, they were utterly screwed. I killed all of them in like 3 seconds tops, another thing I realized is that I don’t really care about killing what I know is former humans, or killing at all, so that either came with being a bloodfiend or they sneaked a mental type ability onto me so I’m entertaining without panicking over murder. Anyway, enough of the R.O.B(s?) that I have decided to call The Sponsor(s), I quickly realized during my first fight earlier that my hand to hand sucks which I kinda figured I never did boxing or anything like that so of course it would, which leads to what I’m doing now. I’m breaking the barrels and searching stuff near them because if I remember correctly there’s 1-star weapons you can find by doing spot checks while in the open-world. It took a while but by the end my haul is 5 apples, a mushroom, and a one star weapon I recognize from the game. A medium sized brown book with some blue on the cover filled with the writings of someone obviously still learning what they’re writing about, Apprentice’s Note. A Catalyst that every catalyst user starts with when you get them. “Ok… that’s good and all but how the hell do I use it or even store the apples ” Just as I say that, a sleek blood red panel opens with the sound of a ding. “Ah this is a gamer fic isn’t it, this is probably the gift they were talking about” I take a look at the panel
