1.
“Enid…” Wednesday whispered in the dark room, eyes shut, lying on her back, arms crossed, and the presence of a colorful werewolf lying next to her or rather, draped over her like a curtain.
Said body hummed sleepily, nuzzling her face at Wednesday's neck, her soft breaths lightly grazing the exposed skin.
“Your leg is on my side of the bed,” Wednesday said, only partially awake but not opening her eyes.
Enid hummed again and replied rather unconvincingly. “No, it’s not…”
“I do not remember taking a spare leg to bed today. You forbid it.” Wednesday said back.
A small grimace/groan was heard from the blonde but makes no move.
A minute later and she still made no move. “Enid…” Wednesday tried again, this time a bit sterner.
“What?!” Enid whined.
“Your leg.”
“I’m too comfy…”
“I will push you off the bed if you don’t remove your leg from my side.”
Enid lifted her head and looked at Wednesday with squinted eyes as Wednesday opened hers. “You won’t,”
“I would.”
They stared at each other intensely for a few minutes. Enid did move her leg back.
2.
“I’m doomed!”
Enid stood in front of her bed, where clothes were scattered around, her suitcases opened with a few clothes inside but not as much. She fumbled through them, “I have nothing to wear!” She looked behind her and found a crossed armed Wednesday, looking back at her unamused and unimpressed next to her already packed and neat case. “Are you just going to stand there or are you going to help out your girlfriend?!”
“Enid, it is only a three-night stay, not a year, how many outfits could you possibly need?” Wednesday asked, a particular feeling of déjà vu watching over her.
Enid turned back to her scattered clothes, picking some of them up in demonstration. “Well, there is the bus fit, the casual hotel wear, my PJs, then morning fit, my first day out fit, my second, my third, and then the leaving, not to mention the ones for breakfast, lunch, and dinner,”
Out of all her conversations with Enid, this one was always the one that made her roll her eyes till she saw her brain and the interior of her skull.
“So, yeah, it’s pretty serious and I need to find the right outfit to each day,”
“How tragic.”
Enid gave a look. “At least try to be concerned,”
“Oh no, there is a missing nauseating outfit, and you can’t live without it, no.” Wednesday said, fully deadpan.
“Unless someone wants to sleep on the ‘couch’ for the three nights, I suggest you help me!”
Wednesday rolled her eyes but obliged. They found the right ‘fit’ a few minutes later.
3.
“Absolutely not!”
“But Wednes-”
“No, he is not wearing that, it is absurd.”
The ‘it’ in question was a colorful bandanna wrapped around Thing’s wrist, whose nails were recently painted.
“He looks so cute in it!” Enid argued back. “It brings out his stitches!”
“He is not a doll, Enid. Take that off.”
“No! It fits him and he likes it!”
“Enid,”
“Wednesday,”
“He’s not wearing that.”
“Yes, he will and you can’t stop me or him!” Thing moved further to Enid’s side and stood his ground by her.
“Traitor,” Wednesday muttered, then sharply inhaled. “Fine, but I draw the line at including glitter.”
Enid gave a victory smile and Thing taps his digits similarly.
4.
“Enid, this is highly unnecessary.” Wednesday said as her girlfriend placed a tray of food in front of her, moving her coffee cup to the side, replacing it with water instead.
“It is not, you need to eat and I am NOT having you nearly pass out from the lack of nutrition, again,”
“It was one time.”
Enid looked at her with a deadpan stare and tilt of her head.
“This month, it was only one time this month, there is nothing to worry about.”
“Really, when is the last time you ate?”
“Yesterday evening.” Wednesday replied, then paused, realizing that might have proven Enid’s point, still she didn’t give in, yet. “It is not as bad as it sounds, I’ve survived worse.”
“Oh no. I am not letting this go, you will eat this, drink your water, and then, you can continue with your investigation. I am not allowing my danger magnet girlfriend to find said danger on an empty stomach, as well as being dehydrated. Now, eat.” Enid said, finalized.
Wednesday sighed but did as she was told.
Meanwhile, both Bianca and Yoko were watching the two from their spot, having paused their lunch and conversation to listen. “When did these two turned into an old married couple?" Bianca asked.
“To be quite honest,” Yoko started. “No idea.”
