Prologue
Aemma Targaryen, the surviving twin of the Baelon Targaryen, was Princess Rhaenyra's beloved sister from their mother Queen Consort Aemma Arryn and King Viserys I.
The Princess was adored by her sister, and spoilt by her father, dressed in finery and granted any possession that took her fancy. Yet this did not stop the whispers, that she had killed the heir that Viserys had so desperately wanted for in the womb, and leeched the last of life from her mother.
