He’s a sorcerer! A real life honest to god, sorcerer! Mike- I breathe as he hugs me tightly, something he hasnt done in a long time. His touch feels unusual but I'm so happy he's hugging me without flinching that I dont even care. You did it! You really did it! His face is beaming and he looks at me and I can't help but melt a little inside
I was all alone on the swings
A boy with black curly hair came up and sat next to me
At that moment we both gained our wings
I knew in his presence I could just be.
Do you wanna be friends? He asked
I nodded yes, relieved that I finally had someone
With him the years passed
My heart learned how to be in love.
‘‘The roll, it was a seven, the demogorgon, it got me’’
I peddaled away not knowing what was waiting ahead
It was cold, dark and eerie
It felt as though fate wanted me dead.
‘‘Will are you okay!? Are you.. are you hurt?
Tears filled my eyes as the I felt the mind flayer clinging to my soul
Every inch of my skin felt like dirt
Mike was the only one who truly understood the toll.
‘‘Its not my fault you dont like girls !’’
His words hurt way more than they meant to
The disgust with myself made me want to hurl
Because deep down I knew what he said was true.
‘‘It’s Hawkins you know, it’s not the same without you’’
He blushed or maybe I read too much into it
His presence was cast with a golden hue
Dealing with my feelings would require a serious amount of grit.
Friends? No thanks ………… Best friends !
He said with a glow
I would love him till time ends
And so I let him go .
