It feels like HMC is around all of the time these days and D4 cannot get him out of his head.

Notes:

soooo this fic is kind of nothing but I couldn't get this part to turn into a second part/a conversation/etc so have this I guess lol. the d4/hmc dynamic is very entertaining to me and I just think making it gay but having d4 be repressed about it is a fun layer to it.

also I do refer to hmc as speedys boyfriend bc I think its funny when ppl assume all the boys that adore speedy are his boyfriends - for ur readers pleasure they can be dating or not it doesn't make much of a difference but either way for this context I would go ahead and say its a more polyamorous assumed vibe in general esp on regards to the crew guys and the ppl surrounding them.

the title is from emotional by the front bottoms (had to do song by them for hmc ofc) and maybe it's leaning a bit more into the pre relationship aspect of this pre pre pre relationship fic but idc, i like the vibes for the two of them.

Speedy has another new boyfriend that he's dragging around to all The Crew stuff and its kinda getting on his nerves. And don’t go at get it twisted, he likes Slack! It took a bit but he has come to enjoy the guy a lot and even considers him a close friend. And had absolutely no issues with him coming home with them to CrewCraft last time – the fresh blood honestly did them all some good.

But this new guy? He's just a bit too weird? Is weird a word Deluxe can use when Sidearms is a person that exists (and was once upon a version of what Slack and now seemingly HMC have become)?

And yeah, the guy's funny, sure, of course he is; but they are constantly surrounded by funny people so D4 just doesn't get why this guy in particular has wormed his way into Speedy's heart. Dating this much outside of The Crew is not his MO—or at least it didn't used to be. D4 guesses he missed whenever that change happened.

And the worst part is whenever he brings it up with D20 or G they treat him like he’s somehow the unreasonable one in this whole situation. Assholes.

And he’s not going to go and bring it up to Speedy – not in any kind of real way. Ribbing him about the guy is easy but to attempt some kind of genuine questioning feels so outside of a possibility that even thinking about considering that option gives him the shivers.

So yeah, HMC is a fucking bother.
