Getting old had to happen sometime, even for us two!
True, they were older, greyer, balder, perhaps even wider, nothing wrong with any of that.
Cody and Rex certainly not feeling those effects except neither of them was as spry or agile as they had once been when still soldiering around in the war and rebellion.
Getting older though and perhaps a tad wiser in the process as well had not slowed the loving couple down in any kind of way. Well maybe part from running amok in the galaxy and saving people.
Thankfully though they did not need to do that any more. The wars were over peace having fallen across the lands and stars.
And so, Cody and Rex had settled in their home on Pabu were so many clones had retired as well over the years.
The elders as they were known as now. Their piers often seeking guidance from them in matters of life and everything else.
After all the two had some experience not to mention giving some tips and tricks in the matters of relationships to the younger clones. Cody and Rex having been together through thick and thin, their bond never wavering.
And so, it was yet another warm and sunny day on Pabu
Early morning, as it was once again, the sunny rays peeking through the curtains as their usual.
“So what’s on the agenda for today then, love?”
They were slumbering in each others arms, without no hurry whatsoever to get up just yet.
After all, they were retired elders, so there was that.
“Today, no agenda, sweetie. I told everyone and their pet yesterday we were off today. Just us two the whole day long. No interruptions whatsoever even if the whole island was on fire.”
Sure, they were in demand, the two of them with their words and wisdom, but sometimes, it was good to just put the foot down and have some alone time.
Cody could not help but laugh. Rex always the more practical one of the two, making sure to nurture their bond and relationship.
“Oooh, sounds like you have plan for us though, eh, Rexy?”
“Well, no plans really. Simply us hanging out together taking things easy for a change.”
“Hmm.”
“Wot? You no like my perfect plan?
“Of course I do, always love being around you, my sweet Rexy.”
Cody rolled over and landing right on top of Rex, kissing the man silly as he did, proving his point of Rex having been right with his plans. Or non-plans.
“Mmm… I really like this, slow morning though.”
“Yeah, me too.”
There was no further need for words. The two partners kissing each other slowly, gently at first, but the situation heating up soon enough. Although these days, they both preferred the lingering simmer to the hot burn they had once played their games as.
Alas, neither of them was getting any younger and like said, there was no hurry for anything for them now.
“Mpf!!!”
“Sorry! Is you arthritis acting up again?”
“Just a wee, I just need to mind my leg, is all.”
“Don’t worry love, I will take care of you while minding the more rough spots.”
“Yes sweetheart, you always do.”
After all, old age still had its… slighter downs.
Still, it would never hinder them for showing the other just how much they meant. The lazy lovemaking continued after a small moment of minding the leg. Then again, there was no hurry for the two retired soldiers to do anything else, but show love for the other.
What a gorgeous morning, spent in the arms of a loved one, nothing better in the whole wide galaxy for Cody and Rex.
