Work Text:
Nightly I forget
What I let in
That dream from when I was ten
By something turbulent
Everyday I face you
Those teeth crooked
I knew then what was wicked
These thoughts, brand new
Or the song I blew
The mechieveious look
your eyes, they crinkle
like stars, they twinkle
we joke about the thing you took
But you wouldn't want it
not this love
not anything above
I might as well quit
Before I forget
where I land
Call me out as you do
How can I say I love you?
Behind a screen I had sat
Now we chat
together often
A man, I am
A man, you are
But you don't like a man
as I do
How on Earth do I tell you
How can one say it?
The bleeding heart beats
you show me your fit
it leads me lower
into this loss of a lover
Take it slow, I say
until the day
I will be able to say
I love you
