Order in chaos, for us?
The two of them were raising havoc again, the trouble duo also known as, Codex.
Yes indeed, it was the nickname given to them by their brothers. The two having been totally inseparable since decanting day. Bffs to the core. Cody and Rex. Always doing things together the two were, usually getting into trouble too.
Their humour and knack in getting into trouble was legendary among the clones.
The rest of them waiting in anticipation as to what they mayhem duo were about to pull from their proverbial hats any given day, life certainly never dull around Rex and Cody.
And so, today was no different. The duo having ran a prank on one of their teachers. A serious man never known to laugh out loud even once. But, Cody and Rex were nothing if not determined to either make the teacher a fool or then, well, who knew what was going to happen!
And so, it happened. And much to some of the troops surprise, the prank had gotten to the solemn teacher. The flour donning his face right now. The collective breath by the students was held.
And then, out of the blue, the supposedly straight faced teacher, was suddenly laughing out loudly, really loudly in front of the whole class!
“That was hilarious you two!” One of their friends commented.
“Keep up the good with you two!” Another one let out.
Thankfully, there was only detention for an hour or so, the teacher letting them easy, having been all too amused to punish the mayhem duo too severely.
Later, when the two of them were finally in private, having found a small nook to snuggle into when they felt like the world outside just got a little too much, the two were still giggling about the prank from earlier and already planning their next one.
“So, what’s the ultimate prank we could pull, huh eh, Rexy?” Cody asked sounding a tad serious perhaps suddenly, having been thinking a lot about things and stuff, now that they were almost grown up…
Rex looked at his best friend forever in the eyes. Something suddenly clicking into place, about their next prank perhaps?
As it turned out, Rex too having thought about things and stuff.
“This.”
Rex leaned into Cody, sharing the same air, as his lips met Cody’s in a gentle kiss.
Cody, having been thinking along the same lines as his bff, leaned in to the kiss with full force. Cody having been doing some research and guess it was time to put said learnings into good use.
When they broke off, Cody only stared at Rex for a spell, leaving Rex think he had misstepped despite Cody’s eagerness in being a willing participant. Rex thinking he had misunderstood the whole thing between them, the two getting closer and all, the bond shared without a doubt.
But then Cody drew him in himself, kissing Rex right back with more heat and more passion than the earlier one had had.
They kissed again and again and again, before breaking off again, panting heavily, smirking a little too.
“Yeah, that’s the one!” The coarse voice retorted victoriously.
Then the two kissed again, as perhaps this wasn’t a prank to be after all but something else?
