Y'know how every extroverted person has that one thing that would make them all quiet and calm, focused on that thing so precisely it looks like their mind is in an entirely different place? Well that thing could be a lot of different activities or items, ranging from a beloved movie all the way up to an extreme sport, the possibilities are endless! But to name a more specific thing let's look at this sweet plush dog, drawing away looking so very whimsical. Drawing was already classified as a rather calming hobby in most cases but when it's ones main interest and even their (past) job that effect at least doubles. After all, even this excited girl was just calmly sitting at her desk, drawing away like nothing could go wrong.
She seemed to be quiet observed in that drawing too, mostly noticeable by the fact she hasn't spoken a single word to Evil Jax in a good while, quiet the opposite to how she usually talks on and on without a break. But sometimes being just together with your partner in peace can mean just as much as hour-long conversations, if not more.
That's part of the reason Evil Jax made sure to be extra quiet as he stood up and walked behind her, the other part was that he was way too embarrassed to be caught peeking over her to look at whatever she was doing.
Yet sneakiness didn't seem to be his strong suit at all as Fluffer almost immediately looked back at him. "Hey, you wanna see?" she asked so very excitedly while pointing at the half finished art piece and of course he wanted to! Not only was it hard to say no to that sweet excited expression he was also genuinely eager to hear about what she liked.
So he pulled one of those slightly abstracts chairs next to hers and focused eager eyes onto what she was doing.
The drawing seemed to be of some type of cat, with a few scars littered here and there. It looked really good already despite barely having started the coloring part, if you ask him. To be fair tho he'd probably find anything she makes is beautiful, simply because it's by her.
Either way he was intrigued about the cat itself but seeing the look on Fluffers face he didn't even need to ask, she'd start rambling on about it in a few seconds.
And that she did, to be entirely honest it was a little hard to catch onto what she was saying considering how fast she was talking but he was doing his best to get the core of it all.
After a short time, she'd calmed down a little and the whole atmosphere seemed to get a little…softer. She was now leaned into his side as she continued coloring while talking in a much slower voice now and he was actually able to understand what she was saying now. It honestly sounded quite interesting, a book series about cats that live in different clans and about how the cats connect and fight. Definitely seemed like a cool idea, and it probably was if Fluffer loved it this much.
Apparently talking so comfortably really does make time pass quickly as Fluffer is snapped out of her talking by hearing Cain argue with Bubble once again as he floats closer in the halls. She quickly checks the clock and sees that their time really is over so she quickly grabs Evil Jax's hands and dragged him to a little hidden corner in her room that Cain somehow hasn't noticed yet.
Once they're both sitting comfortably she practically throws herself around him in a tight hug which he's quite glad to reciprocate. For a few more minutes they were able to hug each other and speak some final words of affection before Cain appeared next to them and barely a breath later, followed by the sound of a slap Evil Jax was gone.
After a short reprimand from Cain about how hiding spots to increase their meeting time are forbidden and not part of their agreement he disappeared and Fluffer left their little spot to sit in front of her computer instead.
For a little while she just stared at the drawing a happy little ball of contentment forming in her stomach at the thought of how she was able to ramble on about such a big interest of hers that she had to leave behind so long ago. The combination of such a pleasant topic and the company of someone so lovable certainly did make sure she was feeling exctatic for the rest of the day.
