Work Text:

It started out as a day just like any other; Pom-pom Dough Cookie would run off to somewhere random when left unattended for a few minutes, and find something that none of them even knew existed. This day, however, was slightly different from the rest.

Pom-pom Dough Cookie, as per usual, ran off. She ran through countless layers of thicket and other parts of the grassy terrain that likely would've left her in a concerning condition, had she not been careful. Too careful, she was. As she kept moving along under the trees that only shed cracks of sunlight through the tremendous amount of leaves, she'd made it.

It almost looked like paradise on Earthbread, in her eyes. A beautiful flower field with the sun setting behind a mountain. Various other greenery was accompanying the already serene atmosphere.. and she took it all in - which caused her brain to short-circuit due to the immense amount of euphoria she experienced.

Even in that moment, there was one thing Pom-pom Dough Cookie knew, she had to bring her siblings, obviously! They'd be grateful for all of eternity, be so kind to her.. If only that was the reality. All she really wanted was to spend a genuine moment with them both.

She knelt down a moment, picked a flower she thought was pretty and headed on her way back to Venom Dough Cookie and Mold Dough Cookie. The whole entire trip, Pom-pom Dough Cookie held onto that flower - as if it held her very being together.

Returning to the clearing that both Mold Dough Cookie and Venom Dough Cookie were in, Pom-pom Dough Cookie started shouting at them both - as if she had something truly important to say after they'd both been worrying on her whereabouts.

"HI GUYS! I found something super cool at the end of those trees!" Her enthusiasm was like a contagious, since it easily caught the others' attention - almost seeming to excite them.

Venom Dough Cookie, however, was just a bit skeptical. Of course, she didn't have a reason to lie, but it was quite strange considering how far those trees actually spread. And once Pom-pom Dough Cookie noticed that, she pleaded with them for a few moments, before they reluctantly agreed.

Pom-pom Dough Cookie gave the flower to Venom Dough Cookie, a strange act of kindness that made them feel just a bit more secure in trusting her words. Though, they couldn't help but ask..

"Where exactly are we going?" They asked, almost fully expecting something completely out of the ordinary.

However, Pom-pom Dough Cookie seemed to be disappointed in the way Venom Dough Cookie took the situation. She would've thought Mold Dough Cookie would be the one to be more cautious - not Venom Dough Cookie! She could change that, though.

"You'll see! It's a very beautiful place and we'd have to get there quick - which means no more delaying!" She declared, to which Venom Dough Cookie sighed. They didn't mind going, but they couldn't help but wonder if it was safe.

Pom-pom Dough Cookie went skipping off, not bothering to look behind her as she went into the forest - out of sight. Venom Dough Cookie and Mold Dough Cookie stayed back a second, exchanging a quick word.

"We're sure it's safe to follow her?" Venom Dough Cookie asked.

"I don't see why not.. But if anything goes wrong - leave it to me." Mold Dough Cookie pridefully answered, before Venom Dough Cookie just laughed at him and went to follow Pom-pom Dough Cookie. He followed shortly after.

Pom-pom Dough Cookie went through the same route she'd used to get to and from the place she'd found. And within just minutes, the trio was already at the designated spot - and it really was as mesmerizing as Pom-pom Dough Cookie said it was.

The sun was almost disappearing behind the mountains, a perfect timing they all had to watch the sun set. And for the first time in quite a while, they felt at peace and relaxed - a feeling they wanted to get used to. They all sat in a line, watching as the sun dipped below the horizon while sharing fun stories - a moment that would last forever in their minds.

As the sun began to fully disappear beyond the mountains, they'd all felt tired. It was already getting pretty late - and none of them had noticed that yet. That was until.,

"Aww... The sun is gone." Pom-pom Dough Cookie yawned, giving the notion it was probably time to go back.

"It's alright, it was fun we got to see it anyway. Though, we should head back and get some rest." Venom Dough Cookie responded, also feeling the drowsiness set in on them as well.

They spent a few more minutes gazing out into the distance, really taking in the serenity of the atmosphere before deciding it was time to head back. Before the trio left, Pom-pom Dough Cookie held them all back because she wanted to collect a bunch of flowers to remember this moment with physical proof - though they'd likely end up wilting before she got back. Neither of them dared to say it because they didn't want to kill her mood.

As dusk turned to night, they went back through the thick forest, their memory guiding their way back. Pom-pom Dough Cookie fell back a few times due to exhaustion and Mold Dough Cookie ended up carrying her back. Venom Dough Cookie just couldn't stop laughing at how stupid it looked.

When they got back, they all went to get their well-deserved rest.

Notes:

I'm SO sorry it's short but I wanted to put this out immediately because I was so excited to make something like this! If there's any mistakes or grammar issues then that's pretty much why, but I'd love to make more of the trio! It'll probably be better than this lmao

also they're literally my kids trust me
