“Jon, get down here!” Lois called up the stairs.
Jon came down, a rush to his steps, his hair was a mess of curls, having just gotten out of bed. “Mom, what is it?” He wondered, coming down the stairs.
“Well, there's something I have to tell you. I didn’t win the pulitzer this year, so we couldn’t afford the farms bills…” Lois said, she squeezed her arm with her hand, glancing down, upset.
“What? So are we… going to lose the farm?” Jon worried.
“I’m sorry Jon, but I couldn’t lose the farm.” She said, looking apologetically at him.
“Wait, then what did you do?” Jon got nervous at her look.
“I sold you to make the bill payments, oh i’m so sorry”
“WHAT” Jon shrieked, this had to be a dream. “Who could you even have sold me to?!”
“Well, you remember Damian?” Lois asked. Of course Jon remembered, they’d gone to middle school together, and were best friends until suddenly Damian left one day without a word. Jon hadn’t seen him for years, then one day he showed up again on stage with three nearly identical boys with him, pop stars seemingly overnight as the boy band “The Bats”.
“You’re… joking, right?”
But she wasn’t, because the doors opened to four boys, all hitting different poses, and all with similarities to Damian's. Hitting a harmony in sync to announce their presence
Ian Wayne, the youngest, was charming with his naivety and sporty demeanour.
Ibn Al Xu’affasch, the second youngest was the stoic icy prince, whose cold shell couldn’t be pierced by anyone.
Haffid Al Ghul, the mysterious and tall one who is always wearing a mask, hiding his true self, would anyone ever find him out?
And lastly Damian Al Ghul-Wayne, the leader and oldest of the group, with the confidence and drive to push forward, and the one who’s brought the group to where they are now. Jon's once best friend.
“This has got to be a dream!” Jon nearly yelled, and ran up the stairs, but he tripped on the way up, and fell backwards into the awaiting arms of the boys.
The next thing he knew he was swept up, and taken away in a black SUV from his family.
