Work Text:

They let Gunwook take it home after the shoot. He doesn't wear makeup outside work very often, but it's basically a lip treatment, and the flavor is nice, so he figures he'll use it once or twice. Plus he likes the super shiny tanghulu look; it's fun to see the studio lights reflected on his lips.

Taerae, Hanbin, and Jiwoong are taking him out to a club they don't normally get recognized at to unwind before their schedules really pick up again. He feels like looking a little cute for it; wearing pants he likes the fit of and a shirt that he's almost too broad for now. And he puts on the gloss, too. It felt good during the shoot, and it feels pretty good now, too. So he tucks the little tube into his pocket and admires the way it makes his lips look plush and sweet like a shiny cherry one more time, and then goes out with his hyungs.

They find a table, get drinks, get comfortable. Hanbin animatedly recounts a recent conversation he had with Gyubin that makes all of them laugh. Taerae complains about someone they all work with and that kicks off a cathartic round of everyone airing their recent complaints, which feels so refreshing to share. Gunwook takes a sip of his drink and notices the sticky print his lip leaves on the rim of the glass. He rubs it off with his thumb the first couple times, but then gives up once he's halfway through the cup and the alcohol starts to hit.

Hanbin goes off to procure a second round for them and the conversation dies down for a moment. It's comfortable, not awkward, the way people closer than actual family can be. Gunwook presses his lips together mindlessly and finds them uncomfortably dry. The discomfort is more obvious now, after wearing the lip gloss for the past half hour. So, he takes it out of his pocket, opens his phone camera to see what he's doing, and carefully reapplies it. The subtle maroon color really suits the way his cheeks get red when he drinks. He rubs his lips together and then admires the shine for a moment, before pocketing his phone.

When he does, Jiwoong is watching him. His eyes are lowered, gazing at Gunwook's lips with an unreadable expression. Gunwook touches the corners of his mouth; it doesn't feel like he messed it up egregiously or anything. It's far from his first time applying a lip product himself.

"Hyung? Does it look bad?" Gunwook asks, wondering what he's looking at. Jiwoong's eyes flick up to meet his now, and he smiles bashfully.

"No, Wookie," he laughs, in that embarrassed, charming Jiwoong way. "It's cute."

"Cute enough to kiss?" Gunwook teases, then scrunches his eyes closed and purses his lips. He knows better than to push that joke too far with Jiwoong though, because the oldest will just sit there and let himself be kissed. So Gunwook opens his eyes again and laughs. Taerae wrinkles his nose at the two of them but folds and chuckles when Jiwoong looks at him.

Hanbin comes back, they finish the second round faster than the first, and Gunwook drags Hanbin out to dance a little bit. They let themselves be silly, yelling in each other's ears before goofing around in time with the music. It feels good to move without worrying about getting the motions right. Every time Gunwook gets close to tell Hanbin something, though, the other's eyes drop to his mouth for a split second before he gets close enough to hear him. It makes Gunwook conscious of the lip gloss again, makes it feel wet on his lips.

When they go back to Jiwoong and Taerae, Gunwook can't ignore anymore how often the two oldest are glancing at him. It seems like Taerae is the only one who can be normal about him wearing something on his lips. He's thankfully able to keep his eyes to himself, seemingly uninterested in whatever enraptures the other two.

They get on the topic of a song Gunwook has been recording. He asks for advice on a harmony, as best as he can in a loud club instead of his studio where he could actually show it to them. Taerae listens attentively, repeating back the short pieces of the melody Gunwook sings. Hanbin and Jiwoong just kind of listen fondly, watching their brains work.

"So I'm wondering if I should double that line, or add a harmony at like, a minor third? Because it's supposed to be funky, not sad or anything," Gunwook says, starting to ramble about it.

Taerae nods, still listening to him, lifts Gunwook's drink out of his hand without looking away, and hands it to Hanbin. Gunwook just lets him. But then Taerae reaches up, pulls him down by the back of his neck, and kisses him.

"Oh my god," Hanbin gasps beside them.

Gunwook kisses back without hesitating, letting Taerae's warm lips slide comfortably against his own. He immediately feels the gloss thin and sticky between them, making the contact slippery. Taerae kisses him again, and again, and it transfers between their lips each time. Gunwook can barely keep up with how quickly Taerae's mouth leaves his, and then presses against it again. His fingertips squeeze against his neck distractingly, putting a subtle pressure on his skin. Gunwook shakily breathes in through his nose as he continues, trying to catch the breath that Taerae knocked out of him.

"Hyung," he says quickly, in the space between kisses. Taerae ignores him, still kisses him before he's done saying the word. "Hyung," Gunwook whines again, and Taerae finally takes mercy on him, pulling away and looking at him.

Gunwook feels the glimmer of tears in his eyes, and the stickiness of the lip gloss spread well above his upper lip. Taerae's lips are shiny, and his tongue darts out to lick up what transferred onto him. Gunwook takes a deep breath in as Taerae hums happily, and leans out of his space.

He doesn't get that long of a break, though, because Hanbin directs his head towards him by gently grabbing his chin, and kisses Gunwook next. The lip gloss is tacky between their lips now, sticking on Hanbin too. He presses a couple kisses to Gunwook's mouth, waits for him to obediently part his lips as he gets close for the next one, and then licks into his mouth. Gunwook sighs a little as Hanbin's tongue slides against his, wet and hot between his teeth. He tastes the gloss now, a sweet, nondescript fruity flavor. Hanbin holds him like Gunwook is the fruit being eaten, leans over him even though Gunwook is the bigger one, keeps his lips pressed open for him. He runs his tongue across the roof of Gunwook's mouth, making him shiver and swallow down his voice. Gunwook has to push Hanbin away from him to get some space and catch his breath again.

Hanbin's pupils are wide, tongue caught between his teeth like he's ready to press it into Gunwook again if he gets the chance. Gunwook feels the lip gloss all the way down to his chin, a thin, slick mess around his lips. He can't help himself, he looks at Jiwoong next.

The oldest has his drink to his mouth, taking a slow sip and watching the three of them over the rim of the glass. He sets it down, sucks the moisture off his lower lip, and smiles at Gunwook's curious stare. Gunwook opens his mouth to say something, then closes it. Then opens it again.

"Come here, Gunwook-ah," Jiwoong says, taking pity on him.

Gunwook goes around Hanbin to Jiwoong, then lets himself be pulled in by the waist so he's front to front with the older. When Jiwoong kisses him, it's soft and slow, stealing the last of the lip gloss for himself with purposeful presses of his lips. His teeth drag gently against Gunwook's lower lip, just enough to make his spine crawl with heat. Gunwook almost misses the onslaught from the other two, compared to how torturous it is waiting for every pliable kiss from Jiwoong. He's light headed by the time he lets him go.

Jiwoong rubs the last of the gloss off of Gunwook's skin for him with a gentle thumb. Then he reaches into Gunwook's pocket, fishes out the tube, and lovingly reapplies it. Gunwook holds still while he does, resisting the urge to touch his now swollen lips. Jiwoong puts the gloss back in his pocket for him, touches his hip through the fabric when he does, and then finishes with a chaste peck to his nose.

"Should we go home?" Taerae asks. Usually when they get the time to go out for a night, they stay out much later, taking full advantage of the lack of responsibilities the next morning. But this time, all of them quickly agree to call it a night.

On the ride home, Gunwook can feel that his cheeks are flushed. There's still the phantom of hot lips and sticky gloss on him, like his skin remembers it with perfect clarity. And when they get home, piling into Gunwook and Taerae's dorm together, that gloss ends up plenty of other places too.
