"Time to finally get out of this cave! I just have to finish this greenhouse" Grian exclaims. He is standing in a long hallway built of spruce and glass. It is a part of his starter base this season and he is excited to move on and get going on his main project. An idea pops in Grian's head. "This area needs to be filled with plants, not just any, but one of each kind!" He runs to his chests and shulker boxes, and begins digging through each one to find all of the different types of flowers. After a while of searching and digging, he is pleased to see he has all but two. All he needs now is the Torch flower and the Pitcher plant.
"I will have to get a sniffer for those" he sighs. Grian goes back to a chest and grabs an extra stack of rockets and a crafts a brush. "Time to go looking for some eggs." And with that, he flies off in the direction of a warm ocean. Sniffer eggs generally are located in suspicious sand that is found by ocean ruins.
The wind blows Grian's hair back and ruffles his sweater as he lights another rocket to keep his momentum in the air. He turns around to glance in the distance. "I've already come so far! A few thousand blocks already" he turns back in the direction he was going and spots a ruin below him. "Finally!" Grian shouts with joy, and angles his body down and dives deep into the water below him. The aqua infinity and respiration shimmer along his helmet as the enchantments work to allow him breath.
Grian stretches his arms out and kicks his legs to swim closer to the stone ruin. It was clearly built a while ago, and the water has been slowly wearing down the structure. He looks around at the bottom in the sand, scanning for any pieces of possible eggs. A deep gurgling startles Grian and he spins around as a drowned raises its arms to hit him. Grian shields his face with his arms and braces for the blow. The impact sends him rushing through the water and slamming into one of the rock pillars behind him. Grian gasps and a stream of bubbles rises to the surface.
He fumbles for the handle of his sword and takes a swing at the drowned. It lets out pained gurgle and continues approaching him. Grian lifts his arm and notices the bubble monitor slowly dropping. He was running out of air. The drowned raises its arms to attack again, this time Grian is prepared and attacks first. His sword slices through the drowned and the body disappears into bubbles and XP orbs. Right then, the last bubble on his monitor popped, with not a moment to spare, Grian jumps off the ocean floor and returns to the surface. He takes in a deep breath and dives back down in continued search.
Around the sandstone pillars, Grian notices something sticking out of the sand. He pulls out his brush and gently sweeps it across the suspicious sand. An item pops out, it was only a pottery shard, so he continues looking. There were a few other items in the area, but still no egg so Grian swam to the surface again and rocketed off in search of another ruin.
His teeth chattered as the wind felt cold against his soaked body. The red sweater he wore held water surprisingly well. Grian lights another rocket and looks down at the ground below him, he has traveled almost eight thousand blocks at this point, with still no eggs. He squeezes the rocket in his hand tightly, "I only have a few rockets left, pretty soon I will have to turn back." Right before he makes the decision to turn, he spots another ocean with a large ruin. He adjusts his level and glides down into the water.
There are lots of buildings in this one. Each with suspicious sand for sure, Grian knows he is going to find the eggs this time. As he swims towards the first structure, a blur whizzes passed his face and lands into the stone before him. Grian turns around and sees the drowned as it raises its arm again to throw a trident. Panic fills his body and he quickly begins swimming in the direction of the structure, if he could get behind the walls he could use them as a cover. Another shhhinnk sounds as the trident lands into a block behind Grian. He swims faster, the cover just a few spaces away now.
A scream of bubbles echoed in the water as Grian recoils in pain from a trident hitting him in the leg. A red cloud begins filling the water around him, and he uses his fading strength to pull himself behind the stone blocks. He gasps again as the water stung the open gash along his lower leg. Grian quickly eats a golden carrot and lets out a sigh of relief as he feels the wound slowly start to stitch itself back together. Grian swings his sword out next and braces against the wall to push himself back up and towards the drowned.
The drowned raises is arm and throws the trident again, Grian uses the time to jump out and swing his sword at the drowned. It stumbles back and raises its trident, Grian is quicker though and lands a few more strikes on the foe and watches as it disappears into a cloud of bubbles and XP. He sheathes his sword and returns to the surface for air and dives back down in search of more sand.
Grian spots a pile of sand in the corner of one of the ruined buildings and gently begins sweeping his brush across the object. Slowly, and egg appears and pops into the water, Grian holds it up with triumph! Through the water, his happy cheers resound along the ruins. He places the egg carefully into his inventory and smiles proudly. With realization, his smile fades and he drops his head into his hands. He still needs to get one more.
