Chapter Text
Shrimpo was currently out fishing. He was just on a small boat in a large lake, nothing too extreme. Usually, he'd be fishing with his boyfriend, Finn, but he said he was busy, so Shrimpo was left alone in the meantime.
He cast his line into the water and watched the bobber float. As he watched, his mind started drifting off back to Finn. It started cute, with him thinking about how cute it was when the water in his head boiled every time he got flustered, and the way his missing tooth caused him to have a lisp, mixed with his slightly southern-sounding accent, it was adorable to him, like he'd ever admit that.
But then his thoughts started drifting beyond that. He started thinking about the way he always got sweaty when he told him he was busy, something he only did when he was lying.
Plus, it was like every other day, Finn wouldn't be able to cuddle. And he always refused to take a shower with him or take his shirt off at all, no matter the situation or how comfortable he was.
He got worried he was doing something wrong, or if maybe Finn was cheating on him? Honestly, maybe he secretly wants to break up, or maybe he just doesn't like him? Did he say something wrong? He was-
Shit! He completely forgot about the fishing rod!
He began to pull and try to reel, but the pull on the line was much stronger, so much stronger that it pulled him into the water and completely flipped his boat upside down.
Good thing he could hold his breath pretty well, due to his aquatic nature as a shrimp.
He had lost hold of the rod, making him grumble, but he figured he'd just borrow another one of Finn's, he wouldn't mind, that guy has about 1,000,000 of them.
He was about to start swimming to the surface, but he noticed something in the water.
Seemed like a toon? He could make out arms and legs, but he also noticed a large protrusion that seemed to come from them.
He couldn't see what object or which way their head was, so he couldn't make out who was there, but he sure was curious. He tried swimming close but the figure seemed to notice them and they swam off before he could see who or what it was.
He swam back up and took a breath, he didn't really need it, but he took it anyway.
After flipping the boat back up and rowing back to shore, he shook himself off and walked back to the Gardenview Center very uncomfortably due to the wet clothes sticking to his body.
He could figure out who or what that was tomorrow.
