stay with me, hold my hand

Summary:

Will Hanlon Drabble.

Notes:

(See the end of the work for notes.)

Work Text:

He’d meet a nice young girl named Jessica, and they would fall in love. Sometimes he would think back to Ronnie, his first love. He still cared for her, of course he did, but that relationship was no more.

He was in love with Jessica. He wouldn’t trade that for the world. He was no longer in love with Ronnie, but he hoped she was happy. He hoped she was free. She had to be. He wishes she wouldn’t forget him, but she's gone from this place. She’s probably forgotten everyone.

Will would think about her once in a while, and he’d smile at the good memories, and he’d cry at the bad ones. Even thinking of Rich. But he found happiness in his amazing wife, and their new son, Mike.

All was well.

He saw Margaret around town. They talked, not much, but it was something. She told him she found love, as well. She has a child as well. His name is Richard—Richie, she calls him, sometimes. He thinks it’s sweet.

Notes:

Since I'm finished with the show (It's been months):
Do we think Will kept writing notes to Ronnie until he died, and to Ronnie, one day they just stopped, or do we think he slowly stopped writing them and Ronnie forgot everything?
Do we think Ronnie kept reading them or she stopped reading them as they kept coming in?
Do we think Richie and Mike could've been childhood friends if Will didn't die so soon, or do we think Maggie and Will stopped being around each other so often and had a falling out/stopped being friends?
Do we think Mike and Richie ever were around each other as babies, or their parents never had them in the same room?

Questions, questions, questions.
