[Movie Date Script: Boxten & Glisten]
A small, cozy movie theater. The lights are dim, previews rolling quietly. The seats are plush and a little too close together. Boxten enters first, clutching a drink and popcorn a bit too tightly. Boxten,muttering to himself "Okay. Sit normal. Breathe normal. Don’t spill anything. Easy. It's just a date that can possibly go horrible and ruin our relationship.." Glisten strolls in right after, effortlessly cool, sunglasses on despite it being dark. Glisten says
"Wow. You really went all out, huh? Popcorn and a drink? Careful, Boxy someone might think you’re trying to impress me." Boxten panicking slightly quickly saying"I-I mean- I just thought you might like it.. I can get something else if you want!!!" Glisten,grinning, sitting down beside him replying "Relax, sweetheart. I’m teasing. This is perfect." Boxten freezes at “sweetheart.” His ears burn. Boxten quietly replied "O-oh. Good. Good. I’m glad."
They sit. The movie starts. A dramatic opening scene plays. Glisten,leaning back, arms crossed "I heard this movie’s a mess. Which means I’m going to love judging it."
Glisten said, cant wait to judge the crap out this movie. Boxten,thinking Glisten didn't like his choice, immediately said
"Y-you don’t like…serious movies?"
Glisten perk up and replied
"Oh, I love serious movies. I just love having power to judge them more..."
A loud explosion happens on screen. Boxten jumps slightly, almost spilling popcorn.Glisten,laughing softly
"Nervous already? We’re only five minutes in." Boxten,embarrassed "S-sorry. Loud noises just… yeah." Glisten,gentler now says "Hey. It’s okay." pauses, then casually nudges the popcorn closer to him "you can hide behind this if you need to."
Boxten,smiling shyly says "Th-thanks."
A quiet scene follows. Boxten slowly, awkwardly offers the popcorn.
"D-do you want some…?" Boxten says while holding the popcorn bucket a little for Glisten. Glisten,raises a brow and says "You’re asking like I might bite you."
Boxten,embarrassed and immediately answers "I just— well— UHHHHH..."
Glisten laughs quietly and replies
"You're ’re very adorable when you’re nervous." Glisten takes a handful of popcorn,smiling. "See? Your still alive." Glisten says. Their hands brush for half a second when Glisten got popcorn. Boxten goes stiff. Boxten panick and quickly apologize "S-sorry! I didn’t mean—!"
Glisten,smirking, leaning closer
"Boxten. If I didn’t like it, I’d say something."
Glisten says,trying to show he being genuine,Boxten nods quickly, heart racing.
Boxten replys with "O-okay." Another dramatic moment on screen. Glisten scoffs quietly. "Oh please. There’s no way he survives that." Glisten says.
"I… I kind of hope he does."
Boxten says.
Glisten,glancing at him.
"You always root for everyone, don’t you?
Boxy" Glisten says a little cocky. Boxten shrugs, and gjves a shy smile.
"I think people deserve chances."
Boxten says. Glisten looks at him for a moment longer than necessary.
Glisten then saying
"That’s cute.." Boxten’s brain short-circuits. He doesn’t respond. The rest of the movie plays with quiet commentary from Glisten and funny reactions from Boxten. As the credits roll, the lights slowly come up.
Glisten starting the talk back up "Well. That movie was exactly as bad as I hoped." Boxten replied "I… I liked watching it with you." Glisten,standing, offering his hand "Yeah?" smirks. "Then I’d say the date was a success." Boxten hesitates, then takes Glisten’s hand. Boxten says,shy
"I-I had a really nice time."
Glisten,squeezing his hand lightly. Saying
"Good. Because I’m definitely stealing you for another one next Sunday." Boxten smiles, nervous but happy. Boxten saying
"I’d… I’d like that."
