Chapter Text
A beautiful duet has come to its end. The crowd roared, clapping and shrieking, celebrations and disparities ringing through the singer's ear. Two girls. Early twenties, future still uncertain. They smiled at each other.
Until one of them pushed the other live on stage. What sounded like fifty kilograms hit the stage. The crowd quieted down. The singer must have tried to cry, but the only thing that came out was some type of despair as the lights came down. A figure appeared behind her and snapped something onto her neck. A collar. She watched as more figures of the labors of the stage grabbed the body of the other girl and brought her away.
The girl's body, although weak, had muttered something out. No words were uttered as the light truly left her eyes. Sua had been choking back tears, and looked away. This wasn’t right. This wasn't her plan.
Sua was ready to go, Mizi wasn’t. This was all wrong.
Mizi got pulled out of her vision, and Sua felt a hand like a limb tug on her glove. This was the signal to go to the green room. Sua nodded and stridded to the room, like a careful ballet not to break the facade that was Sua, upcoming queen of the stage.
The door was opened for her by the guards. Inside what a quiet ensemble of the rest of the performers, which was unlike before, a bustling room of young twenty year olds, practicing their pieces. The song that would get them out of here. Sua saw all of them looking up at the monitor, showing the last episode of ALIEN STAGE. Sua watched her face travel up the bracket, safe for now.
The shocked faces of others were quickly ignored by Sua. Her friends looked more shocked. They thought Mizi would win. They had heard her practice. And they had heard Sua put it off for some unknown reason. All they knew was that Mizi and Sua were best friends, or something like that. They didn’t care. They just wanted to come out alive.
One of them rewinded the video. They saw it all happen. Mizi, seemingly happily, pushed Sua. And fell. There was nothing more to that. Sua finally looked over, only to see a spiteful face looking back.
It was the one grey-blue spikey-haired kid, the kid that consistently followed around her Mizi like a lovesick puppy of some sort. Till, she thought. How did he even qualify for the show? With that temper and style, he was sure to be doomed.
“Hey, you! Yeah you.” Till pointed at her, Sua looking dead straight into his soul, trying to intimidate if possible. “She’s dead! You-You killed her. You monster.” Till angrily muttered to her, keeping some distance, as if trying to shield himself from Sua. Like being near her would kill him.
“I did what I had to. She’s gone now, and won’t be coming back.” Sua mumbled, walking away. “Sorry for your loss.” Till walked away as Sua turned around and left to sign some autographs, something scheduled by the show's managers. She waltzed out in a graceful dance, leaving specks of doubt behind in her trail.

Sitting at a table, legs elegantly crossed, Sua welcomed many fans to her booth. She occasionally spritzed some perfume on her face, trying to leave the scent of gore behind. She put on her signature Sua stage smile as she signed the pictures of herself.
One fan, some grotesque alien, walked up and handed her a photo. Sua happily signed and looked back at the time. She could finally go back home. Her smile went back to a line, as she gathered all her stuff, mostly pens and gifts left behind for her, as she signaled to her managers her time was over. They gave her a nod, and she walked away.
Before leaving, she walked back to the stage. The workers were working hard on cleaning the mess that Mizi had made, a stain on the ground. She wandered backstage to see set pieces being built for round two. She watched as the blood of the round ones' set pieces was painted over. Her darling was being erased.
She then headed to the green room, which was cleared out by now. She changed into her clothes, just a skirt, a hoodie, and a hat.
After she got dressed, she noticed an alien standing at Mizi’s locker. Sua had to look to meet its eyes. The alien looked back at her. “Hello. I’m Shine. Mizi’s guardian. You must be her friend. You got her through some hard times, thank you.” Shine softly spoke, clearing out Mizi’s locker for her. She paused for a moment and looked down at Sua. She handed Sua a picture. It was a cute picture, depicting Sua and Mizi catching a fish, back at Anakt garden.
“You’re really going to let me have this?” Sua questioned. Shine laughed gracefully, “You know, I was one to spoil her. I know how you get treated. I can only assume you weren’t as spoiled as her.” Sua nodded; that sounded correct. Sua thanked her. She walked out, turning her back to Shine.
Waiting outside was a limo, which she stepped into. Inside, the limo was dark and she was alone. She got on her phone, occasionally looking out the window to look at the lights of the bustling city.
—
The limo stopped, halting at the front of a hotel the ALIEN STAGE managers had booked for her. She checked in, adjusted her collar, and stepped into her hotel room. She laid on her bed looking at her ceiling. The room itself was huge, a two floor room, with an outlook at the city. The advertisements showed products endorsed by her fellow humans. Her room was decorated with a fruit-candy-wine basket that sat on its lonesome on the coffee table.
She looked back at her phone. Messages congratulating her, embarrassing her, and threatening her. She sighed as she fell asleep, dreaming of her girl.
