Chapter Text
This isn't what they usually talked about. No, certainly not. Denis and Lando were just... friends. They didn't talk about all that mushy gushy stuff. But on a rainy day with nothing to do in the house? They didn't know what to do. Lando just asked.
"Denis... I know you don't like to talk about it, but how are you feeling?"
Denis unloaded right there and then.
There were so many things he hadn't told Lando yet.
"Things are fine. Mostly. I mean, sure, I'm worried about him--he hasn't talked to me since he got back from his last expedition, did you know that?--but not in a weird way. We're friends. I'm allowed to be worried about my friends when they're out doing dangerous things and balancing being an influencer. He hasn't uploaded in a few days either-"
Denis knew he was rambling.
Lando didn't need to ask to know who he was talking about.
"Denis," Lando called softly, "I didn't even mention a name."
He opened his mouth to speak, but no words could come out of Denis' mouth. It was Logan.
Of course he was worried about Logan.
Lando decided to make his last point quick, just in case there were some revelations happening inside his friend's brain. "I just have one question,"
Denis nodded and urged him to continue.
"do you... like Logan?"
And Denis didn't know what to say. Maybe because he did, or maybe because he didn't want to. Maybe because it would be weird to have a crush on your friend. I mean, everyone knew Logan was gay, but Denis was straight. Defintiely. He just was. That was something he'd known about himself since forever.
...unless?
No, not unless. No unless.
"No. I don't I could never."
"Okay, Denis. I believe you."
Lando did not, in fact, believe Denis.
