Devilish Angel

Summary:

nothing much

Work Text:

Milk was lying on her bed at 11:48 PM.

The room was dark. The only light came from her phone screen, casting a soft blue glow on her face.

She was bored.

She told herself she was just scrolling for fun. Not looking for love. Not looking for anything serious.

Just looking.

Swipe.

Swipe.

Swipe.

Then she stopped.

A profile caught her attention.

@rukky

No full face picture. Just a side photo.
White skin that looked smooth and almost glowing.
Bright red hair, slightly messy but beautiful.
Sharp jawline.

Lips curved in a small, confident smile.

The picture felt… powerful.

The bio said:

“I don’t share what I like.”

Milk’s eyebrows lifted.

“That’s bold,” she whispered to herself.

She clicked the profile again.

Three photos only.

All mysterious.
No friends tagged.
No public comments.

And for some reason… that made her more curious.

Without thinking too much, she sent a message.

@Pan: Hi :)

She almost threw her phone away after sending it.

“Why did I do that?” she whispered, covering her face with a pillow.

Her phone buzzed almost immediately.

She blinked.

That was fast.

@rukky: Hello, Milk.

Milk sat up straight.

Her heart skipped.

"How did she know my name? It wasn’t in my username." Milk said to herself

@Pan: Milk? How did you know my name?

Three dots appeared instantly.

Then—

@rukky: I mean… it’s on your profile picture. It’s literally white milk.

Milk stared at her display picture.

It was a simple photo of a glass of milk with a soft white background.

She covered her face again.

@Pan: Oh my God. I didn’t notice. I thought you actually knew me.

A few seconds passed.

Then:

@rukky: Should I?

Milk felt her stomach flip.

@Pan: No! I mean... not yet 😭

@Pan: That sounded scary.

@rukky: Relax. I don’t bite.

Milk laughed softly.

Her fingers hovered over the keyboard before typing again.

@Pan: So… are you really named Rukky?

@rukky: No.

@Pan: Oh.

@rukky: My name is a secret.

Milk paused.

secret?

@Pan: That’s your real name?

@rukky: what? no

@Pan: oh i really thought its your name for a sec. I'm sure your real name suits you though.

There was a short pause.

Then:

@rukky: You haven’t even seen my full face.

Milk bit her lip.

@Pan: True. But the red hair already says a lot.

@rukky: What does it say?

Milk hesitated.

@Pan: That you’re either very sweet… or very dangerous.

Three dots appeared.

Disappeared.

Appeared again.

@rukky: Maybe both.

Milk felt heat rise to her cheeks.

She didn’t even know why.

She decided to introduce herself properly.

@Pan: Okay, since we’re being mysterious. My real name is Milk.

@Pan: Well… not legally. It’s just what people call me.

@rukky: I like it.

@Pan: Why?

@rukky: It’s soft. Simple. Easy to remember.

Milk smiled at her screen.

@Pan: And what about you, Rukky? What do you do?

There was a longer pause this time.

@rukky: I work.

@Pan: That’s very detailed information.

@rukky: I prefer to keep some things private.

Milk felt a tiny spark of curiosity again.

@Pan: You’re very secretive.

@rukky: And you’re very talkative.

@Pan: Is that bad?

@rukky: No. I like it.

Milk swallowed.

Why did that simple sentence feel so heavy?

@rukky: Tell me something about you.

@Pan: Like what?

@rukky: Something real. Not surface level.

Milk stared at the message.

Something about the way Love typed felt calm. Controlled.

@Pan: I overthink a lot.

@Pan: I pretend I’m confident but I’m not always.

@Pan: I get attached easily.

She immediately regretted sending that.

Too honest.

But Love replied quickly.

@rukky: Good.

Milk frowned.

@Pan: Good?

@rukky: I don’t like people who pretend they don’t care.

Milk’s heart beat a little faster.

@rukky: My turn.

@Pan: Okay.

@rukky: I don’t like sharing.

@rukky: I don’t like losing.

@rukky: And when I choose someone… I don’t choose halfway.

Milk read the message twice.

There it was again.

That strange feeling.

Exciting.

But slightly unsettling.

@Pan: That sounds intense.

@rukky: It is.

Silence filled Milk’s room. The fan kept spinning. Her heart kept beating.

@rukky: Does that scare you?

Milk stared at the question.

She should say yes.

She didn’t.

@Pan: Not really.

Another short pause.

Then:

@rukky: Good.

Milk didn’t know why that word made her feel like she had just stepped into something bigger than she expected.

But she didn’t stop typing.

And neither did Love.

11:48 PM turned into 12:36 AM.

And without realizing it.

Milk wasn’t bored anymore.
