Work Text:
Sometimes love can find
Those who feel like they are behind.
It changes other’s perspectives of you
They say “be kind to yourself, too”.
For those who do not underestimate
The power of children’s fairy tales.
Love can bleed from pages, segregate
Anyone uninterested in such fables.
One of them is the beautiful story
Of a pretty girl, unbothered by looks.
Who lived in a village so small
They almost didn’t have enough books.
Due to her kindness, she meets a man
So deeply hurt by a witch’s spell
He forgot all of the things that made him human
Once far, far away from Belle.
Many people think like the Beast
Doubting if they deserve sympathy.
Well, let me tell you, the gist
This is part of us, humanity.
No ugliness makes one unworthy
No mistake defines a soul.
Life is nothing else but a jouney
To learn, to fail, to grow.
So, instead of waiting in the castle of your mind
Anxious that your saviour won’t come.
Realize, dear, that you form this story
Break the spell, celebrate — and love yourself.
