Work Text:
It was morning. Well, atleast it was assumed so, since the sun wasn’t even up yet and even if it were, it was going to be hidden by dark clouds and snow anyway. The curtains were closed, and the room was dark in general, giving it a cozy vibe. In the room there were two men laying in a queen sized bed, one was sprawled out and snoring loudly with an open mouth, the other was laying on his side and hugging the pillow. You could pretty much guess who is who just by this description. The blanket was up to their chins, so that they wouldn’t be freezing all night long.
Suddenly, a loud alarm clock ringtone blasted through the room, making the aforementioned sprawled out on the bed man wake up immediately. The loud eagle screech ringtone definitely wakes America up faster than any other. He slams his hand on the phone and turns the alarm off, opening his eyes to atleast be a little bit awake. Alfred rubs his eyes with his hand, yawning and wiping off the drool at the corner of his mouth. He then notices his boyfriend, Ludwig, sleeping with his back turned to him and the blanket covering almost all of his body.
The American man decides to shuffle around and wraps an arm around Germany’s stomach, pulling his back closer to his chest, basically making them spoon. It’s rare that America is the one who’s awake first. Usually it’s the other way around, since the German man has a self-disciplined and strict routine. So the American man finds it nice for a change. He tries to wrap his other arm around his boyfriend’s stomach and succeeds, even putting a leg around him so that he’s basically tangled up. Alfred buries his face into Ludwig’s neck, breathing his scent in and sighing in bliss.
Ludwig’s scent is of dogs, freshly laundered cotton, and of coffee, which never goes away, no matter how much he showers or how much perfume he uses. Alfred starts to sniff him like a dog, not getting enough of it, and kisses his nape all over, even the more ticklish parts. Germany stiffens, but doesn’t wake up, still in a deep sleep, which confuses America. Since he is used to his boyfriend being alert at all times, even while asleep, this makes him feel almost…worried. But it also makes him feel glad, since he knows that Germany is getting his well deserved rest, and isn’t going to wake up in a foul mood. Suddenly, he gets an idea. America moves closer to Germany’s nape and starts blowing air directly on the skin. He knows that the German man likes it, a lot.
And as expected, Ludwig stirs again, slowly opening his eyes and turning his body around to look at the man who woke him up. He blinks slowly before yawning and hugging Alfred back, wrapping his arms around his shoulders. “Mmm…Good morning…”, Germany mumbles sleepily, taking in America’s warmth and enjoying the arms wrapped around him. The American chuckles and starts running his fingers on his boyfriend’s back, blowing air on his neck for one more time, making the German man shiver. “Mornin’. Did ya sleep well?”
The question was left unanswered as Ludwig looks up and pulls the other man for a kiss. It was more of a peck, since Ludwig was still tired, but the two men didn’t complain– morning kisses were nice. Alfred smiled through the kiss, and couldn’t resist giggling, pulling Ludwig in for more pecks. At some point during their kissing, the American ended up on top of the other man, deepening their kisses and making them longer than they should be.
After a while, Germany pulls away to catch his breath and to stare at America; his messy spiky hair all messed up from laying sprawled out earlier and his lips glistening from the kisses they just shared. It’s amazing just how much love can go into simple lip sharing. He could stare at Alfred all day, but as he hears scratching on the door, he realises that there are other things to do than to just lie around. “Alfred, the dogs…”, he says, but gets cut off by a kiss. “Too cold. I’d rather lay in bed.” Alfred replies, laying his weight on Ludwig and putting his head on his chest, so that the German can’t move. He even tangles his legs with the German’s, making the man sigh and accept his fate. Some things can just be done later.
