Chapter Text
Dazai was cutting himself with a glass shard he had gotten on a mission when he heard a knock. He scrambled to pick everything up, but he was too late: he heard the door open and saw a familiar figure standing there.
Earlier that day, Mori sent Dazai on a mission with Chuuya. “Hurry up, mackerel. We don’t have all day,” Chuuya said. “Chuuya, before you try to boss me around, try growing taller than me so I can actually take you seriously,” the tall brunette said. “SHUT UP!” Chuuya tried to kick Dazai, but he dodged the kicks. “Let’s just go.” The short man walked off angrily.
After the mission, Dazai came upon a glass shard from the window they had broken. Dazai picked it up, trying to act casual, but Chuuya noticed. “What's wrong?” “Nothing,” Dazai blurted out. “Dazai, I've known you long enough to know when you're lying,” Chuuya said. “Just drop it, Chuuya.” Dazai glares at Chuuya, “Fine” “You really don’t need to waste your time, y’know.” Dazai continued. Chuuya responds, “You know I still care for you, idiot. I hate seeing you hurt yourself like this. You need to stop doing this fucking shit. You’re ruining yourself and it’s too much to bear knowing you're doing this.” Dazai hears the concern in Chuuya’s voice but he knows he's too deep in to back down “Let’s just go” Dazai walks off, leaving Chuuya behind.
