Chapter Text
Leave.
Jimin wanted to cry. He doesn't want to leave everything like this yet he has to.
Turn away.
He left a letter on the table and turned to look one last time at the sight of a very neat and organized apartment of them—no, Jungkook's. He already packed his things and cleaned the whole apartment clean, as if he never existed in this place.
Don't look back.
A tear dropped from his eye as he walk away from the place he shared with his best friend who he happened to fall in love with. He walks away from the memories they had made a long time ago but Jungkook won't know that anymore. He had his heart directed at someone else now and I had mine to his.
A bestfriend's promise they made was a promise that was made by no one but them only.

"Jimin-ah." An eight-year old Jungkook called.
"Call me hyung 'cause I'm older than you, you brat." Jimin huffed and pouted but the younger just smiled smugly.
"Okay hyung~" Jungkook rolled his eyes playfully and Jimin smiles, feeling satisfied.
"What is it by the way?" Jimin asked, smiling.
"You have to leave me when you fall in love with me." Jungkook said.
"W-What?" Jimin asked, smile fading away looking as if he was going to cry, which he felt like doing.
"You have to leave me when you fall in love with me. But you won't fall for me, right?" Jungkook repeated and asked and Jimin felt a little pang inside his chest. He doesn't know what he's feeling but he shrugged it off and just smiled and nodded.
"I will... because you're my best friend."

"Jimin-ah, I'm hom— Jimin?" Jungkook noticed the sudden change of aura of their apartment and it didn't take long to realize that the older's things were missing.
"Jimin? Jimin, are you there?" Jungkook called, worry suddenly growing inside him.
"Jimin, come on, this isn't funny..." The younger went to their shared bedroom and notice that all of Jimin's things were gone.
"JIMIN!" Jungkook cried, looking everywhere but he hadn't found a single body nor a mere shadow. He then noticed a letter on the table and he went towards it and reads it.
Dear Kookie,
Do you remember our promise to each other 12 years ago? Well I'm fulfilling it now because I realized it's time for me to go because I've been loving you all these years we're together and yet I always lie to myself, saying that I don't love you just so I could be with you a little bit longer. I'm so sorry Jungkook but I always love you.
Your bestfriend/confessor,
Park Jimin
Jungkook didn't realize he was crying and he was dumb for saying such a thing back when they were younger. Jungkook then crumpled the paper and throw it in the corner and sat on a sofa, crying his heart out.
"YOU MORON!!! DON'T YOU THINK I LOVE YOU AS WELL BECAUSE I ALWAYS DO YOU FUCKING MIDGET YOU— you..." And there goes Jungkook's heart breaking into pieces.
But he can't give up. He needs to see Jimin. He needs to talk to him. He needs to—
