Work Text:
......Wake up. You've been asleep for a while, haven't you Tony? Tony Stark-Frost II woke up from his nightmare with a gasp. In a panic, He looked around his room and felt disoriented. What was that voice in my head?, he wondered. Slowly looking around again, he saw his red bed, his nightstand, his maroon desk which housed his laptop, and his velvet-red door. It was just a dream Tony, just breathe. There was that voice again. "Who are you?", he said out loud. The voice did not respond. Unfortunate. It was a big day for Tony today, as he decided that he would finish his time machine, which he called the Immortus Engine. He got out of bed, went to his closet, and changed into his casual-lab wear. He really prayed that whoever that voice was in his head didn't spy on him changing. After changing, he went to the bathroom and brushed his teeth. He then walked out of the bathroom, and downstairs to the living room of the apartment condo he lived in. His parents weren't home often, due to their work. His father was, in his words, "a famous trillionaire technocrat", while his mother was the white queen of the Hellfire Club. (She was also a mutant). He then walked to the kitchen, and grabbed a bagel for breakfast. Swanky much?, the voice in his head remarked. Shut up, he thought to himself. He walked to his personal work/lab room and resumed work on the Engine. Hours blurred on and on, until he was finally finished. Are you ready to accept it? You have been living in a dream you know. Maybe it's finally time to wake up? He activated the engine, but it didn't work. He waited and waited for it to activate, but it was all for nought. Just when he was starting to accept defeat, the device activated, seemingly on it's own. The Engine was a portal to the future, and he built it because he wanted to see what the future would be like. Out of the portal came a teenage girl, surprisingly. The girl had something that appeared to look like a superhero suit, and she walked down from the portal and started to talk. "Finally. I've been trying to contact to you for ages Tony. The future is broken, and we're going to fix it."
