Katsuki silently watches as the flowers tumble from Dekus mouth. He feels nothing as the other boy doubles over and wretches on the floor. His smaller frame trembling as he spit and flower pieces dribble on the floor. He might have felt more pity if Deku did not love being the martyr. So stubborn and willing to die for that stupid video clerk guy all because he caught feelings.
It is so pathetic that it fills his chest with rage. Katsuki wants to go over there and beat him senseless for falling for some npc extra. He doesn’t though, wanting to see him suffer his agonizing one sided love to the fullest.
The random would not even care, he has other losers that he is using for the fun of it. It did not take much watching for him to realize it. Stupid Deku of course is to blind to even notice the fact that he is one of many.
He will know eventually though. When he is to weak to get up from bed and has to home from middle school. When Deku is desperate and lonely then he will tell him. He’ll cry his eyes out as he is wheeled to the hospital to remove any thought to that random. Katsukis rage simmers at the thought of Dekus blank look when he asks what was so worth it, to kill himself over.
Deku gets up from his prone position on the floor as he walks achingly slow to the classroom. Flashing him a small smile when he passes Katsuki. Which he returns with a scowl that makes Deku flinch as he looks away. Dumb ass not even bothering to go to the nurse or anything like that. He is to determined not to make anyone worry for him even if he falls apart in the process. Not that anyone would care, even the teacher barely looks at his him and how much more of a loser he looks. Their fellow students if they do notice just point and laugh.
Katsuki watches it unfold as he walks into the classroom slowly. The way Deku hunches over the desk may make one think that he cares about his reputation but Katsuki knows that he doesn’t. He would shatter every obstacle if he felt like it’d be worth it.
He will get the surgery though. The fact that he is not special and his mothers crying face will break the last of his resistance. Deku may be empty headed after for a while but he will recover. It is not like he is so in love that his mind will shatter to pieces at the loss.
Although he supposes that if it does then he would be stuck caring for him. An empty headed Deku would be so much easier to handle than the stubborn crybaby in front of him trying to melt into his desk at the moment. No tantrums over unrealistic dreams. Safe and sound, unable to leave or talk back.
Katsuki sits down in his seat suddenly very excited at the thought of an empty headed Deku.
