Chapter Text

"Long ago, there were three sisters who created all living things. The oldest, Destany, would form their creations. The middle sister's death would cut them from Destany's loom. And the youngest Life would breathe into them and place them on earth. They worked in tandem for eons, but life got bored. She wanted to go among their creations and see what they were like, not just from afar but up close. Her sisters warned her it was a bad idea, but Life didn't care. One night she snuck down to earth. She lived among humans for years, then a war came, and she went back home. Her sisters scolded her for doing something so recless but Life did not regret it. She adored the duality they'd created. She wanted to go back someday. Her sisters didn't understand, but they loved their sister, so they came to an agreement, every century, Life would go down to earth for a decade. So Life did just that, she loved and lost and experienced humanity in every way but one. That thing she hadn't experienced was being a mother, she begged her sisters for more time next round so she could have a child that was truly hers. Her sisters gave in, she could raise the child till they were 10 on her next round. She went back to earth and found a man to father her child. What she was not expecting was to fall in love with this man more than she had with any human before. At the birth of their child, a son, Life's sisters came to visit and bestow gifts upon the boy. Destany gave him a sense of the future, Death gave him the ability to view her realm in his sleep. Everything was going well for a while, but nothing can stay good forever. The man Life loved had passed when the boy was 6. Life called upon her sisters and begged them for more time so her son would not be left alone, but she knew it was usless she'd already been gone far longer than any primordial should. She started preparing things for her child so when she left, he would know what he was and how to use what he was given by his aunts." Inko told her son the story he begged for since she first told it

She kissed her son on the forehead as he fell asleep and hoped he'd understand what it truly meant. When he was fully asleep, she went to the kitchen and made herself a cup of tea when she felt a presence behind her. She turned around anround to see one of the very entities she was just telling her son about.

"It's almost time, Life," Death said, gently placing a hand on her shoulder

"I know," Inko said after all, it was impossible for her to forget her child's birthday

She pulled a box from the top of one of her cabinets and set it on the couch for him to find. She went back into the kitchen to finish her tea, and her sister just sat with her until she was done. She stood up when she was ready to go and took Death's hand as she opened the way back to a home that felt less like home every time she went back.

Izuku woke up excited for the day, it was his birthday, and he was turning ten. He ran out of his room and to the kitchen, where his mother should be making breakfast, but she wasn't there. He checked her room, but she wasn't there either. Fianly he checked the living room, she wasn't there, but a present was set on the couch. He pulled himself up and read the tag. 'To Izuku, open this as soon as you find it.' That was all the instruction he needed to open the box. Inside was a stuffed bunny and a notebook. He pulled the notebook out first to and opened it on the first page. There was a note from his mother.

'Dear Izuku

I'm sorry I've had to part with you. If you remember the story I told you about life i hope you remember the question you always had when you were younger. You always asked why it didn't have a proper ending. Well thats because the story isn't over, the son of life just turned ten, and Life has left. By now, I'm sure you figured out that you are the son Life wished so badly to have. In this notebook, your aunts have made notes about the gifts they gave you. Read them and use them well. I have also left you a house in the forest you used to play in. It has everything you need if you choose to live alone, but know that if you choose to live there, you can't go to school inperson. I have it set up so you can finish school online if you choose.

I love you, Izuku, more than anything. You let me experience what it was like to be more than just a creator. I wish I could have stayed until you were ready to be without me, but as I've told you countless times, life had to return home, but if you're ever in danger, one of us will come to make sure you're safe.

Love your mother, Life'

Izuku pulled the bunny out of the box, then got up and grabbed his backpack. His Mama said he could go live in the forest, and he would, because he didn't like kids at school anyway, they were mean, even Kachan was mean to him, so the forest would be better. He packed all his essentials and hero merch especily the figures he had of his father. He went into him Mama's room and grabbed some money for the train. Then he left the house cluching the bunny Mama gave him.

He rode the train all the way to the forest. He entered the woods and walked till he came across the house. He went inside and started exploring. Like Mama said, the house had everything he needed. The fridge was full, the stove had a stepstool, the closets had clothes for when he was bigger, his room had a laptop on the bed, and one of the rooms gust had money so he could get groceries when he ran out of food.

He unpacked his back pack puting evrthing in its place. When he was done with that, he set up a small shrine for his Mama so he she could get extra strong. Maybe if she got strong enough she could come back sooner.
