We open up to a dreamy scene in a candy-ish landscape, fionna still quite asleep wakes up and snaps as she doesn’t know what the hell happened while she was out. She runs over to cake, who’s facefirst into the cotton candy grass and tries to wake up her up but her hand smushes through her and not the way she usually does. Something was completely off. “CAKE WAKE UP YOU GOTTA SEE THIS” fionna grabs her but notices shes now covered in vanilla cake mix, chocolate syrup and sprinkles and shakes her “GAHHHHHH WHATS HAPPENING AHHHHHHH FIONNA!? WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU?” Cake said after being shooked awake. “What happened to me!? Cake look at yourself YOUR AN ACTUAL CAKE NOW WHY DO YOU LOOK LIKE THAT” fionna crouches down and tries to make a poorly made mirror out of cotton candy grass. “Oh god……. Now about you, WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR HAT WHY ARE YOUR EARS SUDDENLY BAGUETTES? AND WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR ARM IT LOOKS LIKE SOMETHING ATE IT” cake exclaimed fionna rushed over a river and saw the changes made. She panics but that wasn’t the crazy part, she overhears chatter from afar and decides that she and cake should go check it out. It was prince gumball, or how he’s now named: Gary but as a giant pure candy elemental. He’s looking off into the distance looking at all the candy citizens he’s made from his elemental take over but suddenly things get really bizarre when fionna comes over to talk to him. “Gary? I MEAN GUMBALL!? why are you so tall more or less WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ME!?” Fionna yells out and points to her bitten off pastry arm. Prince gumball doesn’t answer back but an unexpected guest does:Cosmic owl. “Hoo, just because I’m out on the run, doesn’t mean I can have a little fun.” Cosmic owl shrugs and angers fionna “LISTEN HERE I DONT KNOW WHAT ANY OF THIS SHIT MEANS FOR ME BUT ALL I ASK IS FOR AN EXPLANATION OF WHATS GOING ON!!!!!!” Fionna proceeds to snap out. Cosmic owl gets cut off before the main antagonist of the whole season arrives: Hunson. He’s carrying Marshall by his arm and treats him like a princess that needs to be saved. “FIONNA HELP ME I MADE A DEAL WITH THE LITERAL DEVIL A COUPLE WEEKS BACK AND I HAVENT BEEN ABLE TO RETURN TO THE CITY SINCE!!!! SAVE ME FIONNA!!!!!!!” Marshall lee pleads out before being taken away by hunson in the distance. “Welp I guess this is my time to hop before those cosmic entities go after me again, TOODLES!!!!” Cosmic owl blurts out as he quickly scratches the dream sky and escapes leading to fionna waking up. “What was that, cake?” Fionna asked “I don’t really know but something tells me it’s bad news” cake replied back. Fionna quickly runs out of the apartment and tries to find Marshall lee all over the city. After doing some searching she stops and sees footprints where Marshall performed weeks ago. Someone was most definitely here, she turns around and sees the peach street gate still open, which makes her come to a conclusion:MARSHALL LEE HAS BEEN KIDNAPPED FOR SOMETHING VERY DEVIOUS. Back in Ooo, marceline takes simon with her as she believes her dad hunson is going crazy again. They end up in the nightosphere and head to his house, everything seems to be normal but empty that is until marceline sees something on a pillar, a voodoo doll with dreads a grey t shirt and a beauty mark on the neck with a pin stabbed into the heart. Hunson was after Marshall and he’s going to make him the new nightosphere king.
