(The chapters gon be hella short bro i cant write for shit ngl)
Crowpetal followed Jayfeather through the forest, her maw open slightly as she searched for the scent of prey. It was leaffall, soon to be leafbare, and the Clan needed all the prey they could get. The remaining prey would soon be skinny and lean, barely a mouthful for a warrior. Jayfeather suddenly stopped, causing Crowpetal to bump into him. He turned around, "staring" at her with his blind blue eyes. "We aren't hunting. We're searching for-" Suddenly a loud yowl came from far away. Both cats were startled, but eventually Crowpetal spoke.
"I'm... Going to go see what that was. Just... Stay here, I suppose." Her voice was shaky as she padded off in the direction of the noise before Jayfeather could protest.

Crowpetal skirted through the undergrowth, leaping over fallen logs and ducking under low branches, until eventually she reached a clearing. She paused, realising that she wasnt on her territory anymore. She'd have to be careful. She took a step forward, sniffing the air and realizing that ONE, a dog was just here, and TWO, there was fresh blood. She slowly approached a spot in the clearing, noticing a lump in the grass. She took a step back out of shock when she realized that is was a young she-cat, her hind leg twisted and mauled in horrible ways. She was covered in blood, her blood. It was pooling all around the unconscious cat.
"JAYFEATHER! GET OVER HERE, RIGHT NOW-!!"
