Chapter Text
This was confusing.
The creature had been following a trail of energy for a while now and just it reached the end what was waiting for it wasn't a trap, like it expected or even another creature… but a section of the universe covered in spacial distortions.
The only reason every creature alive couldn't sense it was because something was blocking observation. When the creature released tendrils of energy to get a better view, some of them even ended up in alternate dimensions, something the creature thought of but never expected to actually exist. Though what it saw displeased it.
Massive crystalline beings impacted on planets. Many had parts of them reaching out to one or two versions of a particular planet. From how they interacted with the tendrils, they were collecting some kind of energy. They seemed to send signals to one of the two largest distortions, the one that half closed and host to the rotting planet of flesh. The creature eyed these things never in its years had it encountered anything like these which unsettled it. It needed to know more. Just then, a crystalline started reaching out, making its way to the version of that planet that attracted most of its kind.
This planets hosts were similar to some species the creature housed. More upright, worse eyes and ears, thinner, and more diverse skin tone. The being reached for a young woman? There was also a man who had the beings' attention, though he seemed to be more of a second thought. The creature decided to intervene, aiming to get information from the being and perhaps make an offer to the… human… to the human since she seemed to be confined.

These wasteful parasites! The creature's surface quaked in its anger. It took it's self control to not attack what it assumed to be the still living half of the duo. The being had to be dismantled, but the information it had was intact. Their kind traveled worlds seeding confit before curling the population in order to get data that would hopefully stop the certain heat death of this universe… instead of moving over to a younger dimension when the time came. These things were incredibly inefficient. The creature reluctantly decided it would be a waste of energy to interfere with the 'cycle' so it traveled through a distortion headed to a version of Earth the parasites hadn't made it to, both for that reason and to not be tempted to kill the golden foul. That being said, the three crystalline beings in bipedal form had interested it. From the data it received, the beings were made of solidified energy. Despite their size, they were a ball of the size of a moon condensed down. If the creature had a mouth, it would be salivating at the sight of the one they call 'Behemoth'. If it could study the creature in depth, it could find ways to easily convert the energy it catches while traveling into something useful.
Before passing through the distortion, the creature's attention turned back to the confined young woman. It was feeling rather spiteful and wanted its metaphorical hands on an energy construct, along with the fact it robbed the human of power. Plus, her knowledge she had on some of this world's mythology gave it ideas for future floods. Due to her condition it wouldn't be able to get promision to plant a 'seed' though since this seemed to be the norm for the parasites with this planet it didn't matter much, it'll make up for it by providing her with the abilities the parasite attempted to give her.
Taking one final look at the modified seed as it made contact with its host, the creature launched a monolith.
