Shiho was on her way to school with Shizuku, they were talking a bit, mostly Shizuku telling Shiho things and Shiho just answering until they finally arrived, Shiho went straight to her classroom just to see Saki and Emu talking about something.
“SHIHO-CHAN! GOOD MORNING” yelled both girls practically in unison, “Good morning” answered the bassist “We were talking about how delicious were the Apple pies Hona-Chan made yesterday”, “They were so wonderhoy!” said the pink haired doing her usual move with her hands “Also Shiho-Chan today we don’t have practice right? I was thinking that we could go to PXL together along Icchan and Hona-Chan I think there’s also a limited edition phenny” then Saki showed Shiho the photo of the Limited Edition Phenny and Shiho nodded “Sure if they are not busy.”
Finally their classes ended and the four bandmates reunited outside their school, Saki told them everything and the other two girls agreed on going, now they were going to PXL, Saki was chatting with them until they finally arrived.
“Shiho-Chan, isn’t that the phenny that you wanted?” Honami pointed at where the phenny was, now that she sees it, it kind of looks like an apple pie “Wait for me, I’m going for that phenny” Shiho told them and practically rushed to the store, there wasn’t really that much people and that was weird, normally there would be a lot more people, she got her hands on the phenny and went back with them, only like 5 minutes passed since she left them and she was back.
“Hehe, Shiho-Chan your eyes are shining” The drummer told her “Eh? Really?”, “Yes, now that Honami mentions it every time you get a phenny your eyes shine like that” added the guitarist, “Not only with that but also when she gets something cute!” the bassist was embarrassed, how did they got to notice that? “Alright, instead of you keeping pointing out things lets go to somewhere else, we still have plenty of time.”
“Hona-Chan, Shiho-Chan, me and Ichi we are going to the carrousel, are you two coming?” Saki told them, “I was planning on going to the Ferris wheel, what about you Shiho-Chan?” the drummer answered “It’s been a long time since I last went to the Ferris wheel, so I’m going with Honami.”
Now both girls were on the Ferris wheel talking to each other, it felt incredible, it was comfortable and Shiho felt in heaven, it’s been a long time since she felt this happy. “Hehe, Shiho-Chan your eyes are shining again, it really looks cute on you.” Honami giggled while saying that, Shiho just blushed, “How do you guys come to notice this type of things”, “I guess after being friends for so many years we just notice them easily, by example how cute you looked when you were younger, or when in the sports festivals Kohane-Chan told me how you didn’t want to throw a ball just because it looked cute hehehe” After that Honami kept mentioning things and Shiho looked like a tomato, after she finished and them got out they went looking for Ichika and Saki, they weren’t really that apart from each other but still managed to get lost and ended up finding each other after like 20 minutes.
They practically went everywhere and finally they were about to go home, it was late and dark, they waved at each other and went to their homes, but Shiho had a feeling, she didn’t knew of what but she had it, now that she notices when she was left with Honami only she felt different, especially when Honami told her about all the little things she found cute about her, she felt more happy? No, it’s different but similar, well she should stop overthinking things.

Shiho and Saki were searching for Honami and Ichika, they had practice in the Sekai but they couldn’t find them their school was way more crowded than usual and they spent like 10 minutes that felt like an hour, then they finally entered their Sekai and practiced.
“Bye Hona-Chan! Bye Shiho-Chan! See you tomorrow!” Saki said goodbye to her bandmates as she was telling Ichika to go “Goodbye Honami and Shiho!” the guitarist said goodbye too and went with the keyboardist, they were having a sleepover “Shiho-Chan, ready for the rhythm squad’s special training session?” Honami told Shiho, they used to have this ´Special training sessions´ since they were the ones to keep the rhythm in their songs, “Let’s start” Said the shortest.
“I have to go Shiho-Chan, Haru is home alone with Shibao so I have to take care of them, Bye! Take care and see you tomorrow!” Honami was rushing, for her beloved ones, in this case her little brother and her pet she would run a marathon just to help them, Shiho loved liked that of her, she also had to go home soon, Shizuku told her that she was going to do ramen and oh how Shiho loved ramen, “Alright Honami, take care”.
Shizuku got out of the Sekai and went downstairs, Shizuku was just serving the food and saw her sister coming, “Shii-Chan! How are you?” The older sibling asked “Good, what about you? The younger now asked “Great! Also, Airi-Chan is coming too, Okasan and Otosan went to eat outside so is only going to be us!” Shiho told her Okay and went to wash her hands, then she heard a knocking in the door so she went to open it.
“Shiho-Chan! Goodnight” Airi greeted Shiho “Hello Momoi-Senpai, Onee-Chan is finishing serving the food” Airi went inside, she placed her shoes to the side and went to greet Shizuku, Shiho closed the door and went to the table.
They started eating, when they finished, they chatted for a bit and the question came on. “Shii-Chan, have you ever thought about someone in a romantic way?” now Shiho was questioning why the fuck did Shizuku question that? The Shizuku she knows would never ask something like that.. Unless their parents told her to ask Shiho that. “Not really” Shiho told her. “Not even one of your friends?” That question that Airi made resonated in Shiho’s head, did she like one of her friends? No definitely what she felt for that one friend was platonic… Right? YEAH SHE DEFINITELY DIDN’T LIKE HO- “Shii-Chan?” Oh, she got distracted “No, I don’t” She answered.
Then Shizuku and Airi kept talking while Shiho kept thinking about it, does she like her? Like yeah she may blush when she starts pointing out things about her that literally no other person cared about (maybe Saki and Ichika), or when she starts seeing her a little too fine, nah maybe it’s because they have been friends for so long, it’s just a really good friendship, even though deep down she knew that the truth was other. She likes her.

“Shiho-Chan! Good morning!” Saki cheerfully greeted Shiho. “Morning Saki”, “WONDAHOI MORNING EVERYONE!” That was definitely Emu from probably two classrooms far from them, then Emu was already on their classroom “Wonderhoy morning!” Saki greeted Emu, Shiho tried to talk not too much, she has heard of hanahaki before but she didn’t expect that it was real, she tough it was just a legend.
“Saki today I’m going to eat lunch with Minori and Kohane”, “Okay!”, if Shiho knew who was the better person to talk about this was probably Honami but she couldn’t help her this time, so her second option where Minori and Kohane, they have also been in there for Shiho so it works.
“So, you have a crush on someone, that’s good!” Minori told Shiho, Shiho expend great part of their recess explaining the whole thing, “But having Hanahaki is not good, have you tried talking to this person? Kohane rapidly answered “I haven’t, and I don’t want to, I’m scared” Shiho didn’t tell them that this person was Honami. “Shiho-Chan I think you should tell this person, maybe they like you back!” Shiho was sure Honami didn’t like her back, “If I keep the feelings to myself would be better, wouldn’t it?” So, she wouldn’t hurt anyone else. “Shiho-Chan, after school come with me, I know someone who can give a better advice” Kohane told Shiho and she just nodded.
She opened her phone to tell her bandmates.

“It’s weird that Shiho out of nothing got sick? Today she seemed fine” Ichika told the other two “In lunch I had to eat with Emu-Chan and Haruka-Chan because she had Lunch with Kohane-Chan and Minori-Chan, maybe she felt sick in lunch?” Saki told her bandmates “Even if she felt sick in lunch unless she felt incredible sick its weird she decided to skip practice, remember when she was sick but still went to practice that we had to practically cancel practice and obligate her to rest” Honami added “The Monday we should ask her” Saki and Honami nodded.
“Hi Kohane! Hi Hinomori, so in what can I help?” An only knew that Shiho had a problem that’s all, Kohane didn’t really gave much detail. “An-Chan! So Shiho-Chan has a problem as I told you and I think you can help her” Kohane rapidly answered “Hello Shiraishi, so I have a big problem” Shiho explained everything, she didn’t know how An could help her but if she could oh god she would be extremely grateful. “I see, the only thing that I can recommend is confessing your love, otherwise well, you already know.” An gave that answer, but Shiho didn’t want to confess her feelings. “What if she doesn’t like me back?”
“Well, the flowers won’t stop growing, and unless you are decided to get them surgically removed you are dead” An said this like is the 3rd time someone has asked her “Surgically removed?” Shiho was confused but if she could she definitely would “You didn’t know?” An asked “The only time I heard from this was when I was younger from my Okasan when she used to read me tales, I TOUGHT THIS WAS A LEGEND I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD HAVE REAL FLOWERS GROWING IN MY LUNGS?” Shiho almost yelled the last part “Well if you get them surgically removed your romantic feelings for this person will also get removed.” Now Shiho didn’t know what to do.
“An-Chan I think I know how you can help Shiho-Chan!” Kohane told her partner “How?” An was confused “Since I doubt Shiho-Chan will get them surgically removed you can give tips to confess her love, she told us it’s a girl so I guess it’s going to be easier for you to give any recommendation” Kohane told her “It actually really depends on the person Kohane, you know I also had a bad time trying to see how to confess to you and I spent like a month planning everything.” An had a good point and also Shiho didn’t want to confess, she was going to say something until.

“SHIHO-CHAN?” “HINOMORI ARE YOU OKAY?”
In her hand Shiho had petals. Red petals, but not from blood, she recognized that petals. They were a Red Cosmos petals.
“SHE ISNT ANSWERING KOHANE WHAT DO WE DO?” An was panicking “Lets calm down..?” Kohane also was clueless on what to do. “I’m okay. I just coughed some petals.” An calmed down with this answer. “PETALS ALREADY?” Kohane asked. “Yes, at least it’s not full flowers” Shiho told her.
They spent another time talking and Shiho went home, she didn’t know if she should tell Shizuku, she wanted to, but what if she overreacted? She would say something like “Shii-Chan its extremely dangerous you can die, please don’t” No, she definitely wouldn’t, she would act even worse, maybe telling her mother? No, she would also get preoccupated.
“Onee-Chan I’m home” Shizuku rushed to Shiho and took her temperature with her hands “Where were you Shii-Chan? Saki-Chan called me asking me how were you and told me that you told them that you were sick” Of course they would ask, they already know Shiho. “I was a bit sick but I already felt better, I went to the pharmacy and then accompanied Kohane for something” She lied. “Oh okay, I got scared, oh tomorrow me and the rest of MORE MORE JUMP! We are going shopping, you want to come?” Shiho didn’t know if that was a good idea but if she didn’t go, she would probably get more suspicious “Okay” she told Shizuku.

Shiho was already on the mall and casually talking to Minori and Haruka “Haruka-Chan isn’t that the penguin keychain that you wanted?” Minori pointed at the object “Oh it is, thanks for making me remember Minori, I’m going to buy it, I’ll be right back.” Minori was a blushing mess but she also had other intentions while sending Haruka there “Shiho-Chan how did it go with Kohane-Chan yesterday?” Minori remembered about what happened yesterday and was still worried. “Kind of good, at least I know another alternative now if the other one doesn’t work.” Minori seemed relieved, then Haruka came back. “Minori look how pretty the penguin is” Haruka had sparks in her eyes admiring the penguin. “Kiritani-San may I ask you a question?” Shiho didn’t lose anything asking her and Shizuku with Airi where nowhere to be seen. “Sure, did something happen?” Minori already knew what Shiho was going to ask. “You know what to do in case you have the Hanahaki disease?” Shiho at this point had nothing to lose even if she had told everyone in the world except of Her. (And she was also desperate to find another way.)
“I may need context.” Haruka asked, Shiho with some of Minori’s help told everything to Haruka, except for who she liked, nobody knew, maybe Kohane had an idea of who it is and Minori too but she wasn’t ready to tell anyone. “I see, as far as I know there is no other way, I apologize.” Sigh, at least she tried remembering anything “Please don’t tell Onee-Chan or my Bandmates, they are the last people I want to worry.” Minori immediately knew who it was “Wait Shiho-Chan if I’m not mistaken on who you like, I’m pretty sure she would accept you, and even if she didn’t, she would try everything to help you.” Minori told her, Shiho wasn’t really sure, she preferred keeping it to herself “You may be right Minori but, just don’t tell her. I’m not ready yet” Shiho told Minori while looking to the floor “Hinomori-San, you just told us that you are already throwing up petals, you are not safe the best you can do is confess.” Shiho nodded at them knowing damn well she wasn’t going to do that.

Shiho felt bad for ignoring her childhood friend, she knew that Honami was worried about her but she couldn’t tell her the truth.
It was 5:17AM when she heard a knock on her door, she went to open it, the only person that could be behind that door was Shizuku since her mother and father worked until late and arrived home tired most of the days.
“Shii-Chan, can we talk?” Shiho was confused, what could Shizuku possibly wanted to talk about? “Isn’t it a bit early?” Shiho was tired she started overthinking and ended up falling asleep at 2AM approximately “I don’t want Okasan and Otosan hearing about this” Now Shiho was scared “Fine”
“Are you okay Shii-Chan?” That was weird “Yes, why?” Shiho asked her sister “Honami-Chan asked me what happened to you, she told me that you were more distant from her and your other friends and acting weird” Of course it was about that… “Huh? That doesn’t make sense, I talk to them almost always I only skipped one day of practice and they started acting like that” Oh shit Shiho wanted to cough.
“But they have a point, I noticed that the last days on school you were ignoring them except for Saki-Chan when she asked you something” It was clear that Shizuku immediately knew something was wrong, she cares a lot about Shiho so there was no way she wouldn’t notice.
“I’m okay alright? There is no need to worry, have you been sleeping well Onee-Chan?” Shiho changed the theme, well tried “Yes, but you don’t seem like you have, I can see little eye bags under your eyes” MIERDA “You are seeing things only, I don’t have eye bags.” OH SHIT SHE REALLY WANTED TO-

Shiho kept her hands on her mouth in an effort to don’t let Shizuku see the petals, she also felt something like a liquid, she just hopes it isn’t blood. “SHII-CHAN?” They were sitting in Shiho’s bed so Shiho got up as fast as she could to grab toilet paper and throw everything she coughed in there, but there wasn’t any so she ended up running to the bathroom, Shizuku going behind her, she was wondering how her parents have woke up yet with all the noise, since Shiho was in a rush she forgot to close the door and Shizuku ended up seeing Shiho throwing up petals, blood and a flower bud. Shizuku was shocked, she immediately knew what Shiho had, and before one of the two could talk another person arrived into the bathroom.
“SHIHO?” It was their mother, so she did wake up, Shiho had tears on her face from throwing up, she didn’t want to face either her mom or her sister, what would they say? ´Why you didn’t tell us before?´, ´You know you could have told us instead of keeping it to you and a couple of your friends´ “Okasan I think is better if we left her for a bit” Shizuku told her mother seeing tears on the floor “I’ll wait on the living room then, come with me Shizuku” Their mother told them “Onee-Chan, Okasan, stay please” Shiho said, her voice broken, barely being heard, it clearly hurts her talking.
As what she said both her mom and Sister stayed with her, now she was sitting resting her back on one of the walls of the bathroom, while Shizuku and her mother comforted her, she wasn’t just tearing up she was straight up crying without knowing how tell them, what was worse was how she coughed blood, that didn’t mean anything good.
In a moment Shiho just hugged Shizuku, she just wanted to cry, she knew that it was probably over for her, she doubted Honami felt the same towards her and even if she did she couldn’t get herself to tell Honami her feelings, she knew Shizuku already had an idea of who she liked and what made everything worse was the thought of stop being in there with her family, friends, everyone that mattered to her.
She stopped crying and felt a bit better than before, she had to tell them even if she wasn’t ready.
“I’m going to tell everything but don’t tell anyone else please, you can tell Otosan but only him” Shiho finally talked. “Take your time Shii-Chan” Shizuku told her “Don’t worry, will keep it for ourselves” her mother added.
“So, not so long ago I realized I started having romantic feelings for one of my friends that I know since childhood, the feelings started growing stronger and the Thursday when I told my Onee-Chan I was going to bed I didn’t went there I also ran to the bathroom and throwed up, that was the first time and I was only a tiny petal, that’s when I remembered about the tale that Okasan told me and Onee-Chan when we were 7, I thought that was just a coincidence until I throwed up again.”
“The next day I decided to not have lunch with my bandmates because I knew that if I throwed up in front of them by accident they would get even more worried, so I told them I was going to have lunch with Kohane and Minori, I told them everything and Kohane told me that she knew about someone that could help, so I told my bandmates I wasn’t going to practice and went with Kohane, her girlfriend helped me a bit giving another option that instead of confessing to who I like, the next day I accompanied Onee-Chan to the mall along her group, I talked with Minori about this and asked Kiritani-San if she knew another way, she didn’t, but did help a bit, and in the night one of my bandmates asked if I was okay and well I couldn’t tell the truth so I ended up ignoring her messages, what happened now in the morning you already know.”
Shiho explained that horribly because she couldn’t get the words out of her mouth, but both their mother and sister did understand, Shizuku knew who was the person that she liked, their mother immediately guessed who it was.
Their mother tried to think of another way to stop the hanahaki while Shizuku hugged tightly Shiho, Shizuku was crying, the simple thought of losing her sister scared her a lot, A LOT. Until their mother remembered something.
They saw how their mother rushed to her bedroom and came back with a book, a book both of the sisters knew from memory, their mother went trough the pages of the book reading it trying to find something else, but she didn’t find anything more than the end when the protagonist on her last moments confessed her love to her lover and the lover demonstrated that he loved her back, saving her and the flowers vanishing from her lungs.
“Shiho, I think you should confess before it’s too late, we care about you so please not only for you, but for us your family too” That words from her mother hurt her, they went straight to Shiho’s heart, Shizuku couldn’t even talk, that’s when her father went to the living room (They went there after they cleaned the bathroom) and saw Shizuku crying, His wife tearing up and Shiho also crying while hugging Shizuku.
They explained everything to him and he understood, just then they realized what hour it was
7:29AM.
Shiho still went to practice just to stop worrying the girls, after that Honami wanted to know what was genuinely happening to Shiho so she practically yelled to Shiho “SHIHO WAIT” Shiho knew how done she was.
“Honami?” The grey haired asked as she didn’t know what Honami was going to tell her.
“Come with me, now.” Oh shit. “I’m sorry but I have to go home early” Shiho lied “Why?” In what moment did Honami started acting like this? “Onee-Chan is waiting for me, I need to help her in something-“
“No, you don’t, I already asked her if you were going to be busy today and she told me that you weren’t but you were a bit sick, and you don´t look sick at all.” Of course she would have asked Shizuku.
“Fine, but do it quickly, I’m still sick.” Who is going to tell her she is not going home soon enough.
“Shiho in what moment did you become this distant?” Honami addressed her only ´Shiho´ oh god how doomed she was. “What do you mean, I’m always like this and I am not distant.” Honami took a deep breath and looked directly at Shiho in the eyes.
“Shiho stop lying. Before you say something else, you have not only been distant but also acting like anyone else but you, you keep telling us that you are sick and I can tell you aren’t sick, if you were you would have still come to practice without skipping or using face masks like you do when you are genuinely sick and don’t want to make anyone else, specially Saki-Chan sick, you started getting more distant to me, Ichika-Chan and Saki-Chan, and keep saying the same thing”
Honami took another deep breath and yelled at Shiho, there were people next to them and she didn’t care, if someone from their school heard this, they were going to gossip about it like the last time. “YOU CANNNOT IGNORE US FOREVER WE ARE YOUR FRIENDS AND CARE ABOUT YOU, YOU ARE BEING SELFISH, IF SOMETHING IS HAPPENING TO YOU WHY YOU HAVEN’T TOLD US? OR AT LEAST TELL US WHY YOU DON’T WANT TO BE NEXT TO US ANYMORE.” Honami teared a bit, some of her tears were falling to the ground, and before Shiho could even answer Honami talked again.
“Please at least tell us. Why do you keep being so selfish? Didn´t we left that in the past? What about our promise.” Shiho had a mix between being mad, guilty and sad but she had to answer, so as well as Honami yelled at her she was going to do the exact same thing, what could possibly go wrong!?
“ARE YOU HEARING YOURSELF? ME BEING SELFISH JUST BECAUSE I STOPPED TALKING TO YOU FOR TWO OR THREE DAYS? ARE YOU FOR REAL? I CAN’T GET SICK AND ACT DIFFERENT FOR ONCE? I CANNOT TAKE CARE OF MYSELF? CAN’T I-“ Before Shiho could keep yelling she felt the same feeling as every single time she has coughed before.
But that wasn’t going to stop her.
“CAN’T I BE WITH MORE PEOPLE NOW APART FROM YOU OR WHAT? WHAT ELSE COULD HAVE HAPPENED TO ME HUH? AND WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY ¨NOT SICK¨ I´VE BEEN COUGHING WITHOUT RESTING FOR THREE OR FOUR DAYS IN ARROW (Not really without resting. For now.) AND YOU DARE TO SAY THAT? I” and she couldn’t hold it.
Shiho coughed, but not twice like she normally did, she kept coughing so she practically ran away from Honami to the nearest bathroom, what she didn’t notice, one petal, along drops of blood were now on the floor, she made it to the bathroom and throwed everything, not even in the morning she throwed up this much, only now she noticed that she was crying, when did she started? She had no idea, but once she finished, she cleaned as fast as she could and washed her mouth with water, she still had her bass on her back, and remembered.
´I didn´t say goodbye to Ichika and Saki, did they even got out of Honami’s house?´ (They were having practice in there) Still she went to the train station and took the first train.
She cried silently on the train, she was practically alone in the wagon until some familiar voices went inside the exact same wagon as her.
“An-Chan, Shinonome-Kun, Aoyagi-Kun tomorrow we play at the live house right?” That was Kohane “Yeah, you are coming to Kamiyama after class right?” Akito asked Kohane but instead of her someone else answered “Akito, Kohane already said like seven times she was coming to our school, are you dumb?” An defending Kohane, how cute but she didn’t really have to lmao “I didn’t ask you An, are you an idio-“ Before Akito could even finish that sentence “Akito, we already talked about this.” Toya stopped him.
Just then both Kohane and An saw Shiho.
An whispered at Kohane while Akito and Toya talked ´Kohane isn’t that girl over there Hinomori?´ Kohane nodded and whispered back ´Yes, indeed is her, I’m going to talk to her, ill be right back.´ An nodded back and went to talk to Akito and Toya.
Shiho looked bad as fuck, if Shizuku found her in this state she would probably start crying too, seeing her little sister in that state really makes you sad too. “Shiho-Chan?” Shiho looked up for a bit to see who called her, she couldn’t recognize voices for some reason “Kohane? What are you doing here?” Shiho asked her with the voice broken, then Kohane realized how bad Shiho was, not only her but the other three high schoolers behind her too, even though Akito and Toya didn’t know shit.
“Shiho-Chan what happened? Are you okay?” An told Akito and Toya to give her a minute “Hinomori oh god what happened?” Shiho didn’t know what to answer, but thanks to god Kohane went to hug her, that’s all that Shiho needed.
A few minutes later Shiho explained what happened with Honami and how she had to run away while technically bleeding, she also told the vivids that her family now knows about her disease.
“Shiho-Chan you have to tell Honami-Chan the truth” Kohane said with a face of preoccupation and sadness “Or if you don’t want to, you can always get the surgically removed, but please do it, for you and the people that care about you.” The words that An said also went straight to her heart, she had to take a decision soon tough, then she realized that she had to get out the train soon.

Shiho disappeared, her normal life vanished, playing her bass was practically impossible, using her phone to tell anyone if she was okay was no longer an option, no one except Shizuku knew what happened to Shiho and why she didn’t go to school the last week.
Shiho was bed rotting she didn’t have another option, from the night to the morning she started coughing non-stop and could barely talk, her bed was full of flower petals and full blooms everywhere, even her floor, eating and drinking was hell, she was considering stopping eating.
“Shii-Chan how are you today?” Shizuku went to see her sister, Shiho gave her a thumb down, Shizuku understood immediately, she gave Shiho a hug, and swiped the floor so Shiho don’t have to see that flowers in there, the flowers were making her crazy.
“I have a notice but I don’t know how you’ll take it” Shizuku announced, “today while I was buying the groceries for the week, I found Saki-Chan” Shiho heard that and sat on her bed “She asked me if she and the other girls could come to see you because they were worried and didn’t know anything about you.” Shiho asked “What did you told her?” she coughed a couple more petals “I told her that you were extremely sick and didn’t want people coming to visit you, even tough I told Honami-Chan that you were sick like three days ago, then Saki-Chan insisted that I ended up telling her to ask you, so you have to see your phone” Shiho breathed, at least they weren’t coming. “Ill text her, thanks Onee-Chan.”

Shiho stood up from her bed, her vision became blurry and she started seeing everything black, she had to sat back and wait a bit before standing up again, this time she did it slowly, she after a week decided to do her bed without help, it was difficult but she managed to, she changed her bed clothes, and the ones with blood she throwed them in the laundry basket, she changed her own clothes and went to the bathroom, she throwed up as most flowers as she could, and finally did what she needed to. Play her bass.
She spent a lot of time tuning it, but she finally got to play it, she decided to go hard, and started playing ´Peaky Peaky´ somehow it didn’t go as bad as she thought, there was a clear difference from when she played with normality than now but it wasn’t to big, and play it while coughing flowers every so made it even more difficult, then she realized, where was she going to throw up when the girls were close to her? Oh how doomed she was, she then got an idea.
She had a bucket next to her, and a facemask on her face, next to the phenny she got that day she has a wet tissues box, they of course were going to ask things but that didn’t matter, she just wouldn’t answer or well, her plan B, tell them all the truth specially to Honami Lie.
The next hour before her bandmates went to see her she organized some of the things she had, she couldn’t really do much, and instead of studying, since she doubted that she would be able to go back to school, she decided to keep playing her bass, until she heard a knock downstairs, she left her bass were it was and went back to sit on her bed, suddenly she felt a knot on her throat.
“SHIHO-CHAAAAAN” Saki ran to see her friend, Ichika was right behind Saki and Honami, well she was the last one to arrive, she was looking to the floor, as if she was sorry for something she didn’t do but she thought she did, before Shiho could keep focusing on Honami she felt warm, Saki was hugging her tightly.
“WHAT HAPPENED SHIHO-CHAN YOU MISSED ALL OF LAST WEEK, BAND PRACTICE, SCHOOL AND YOUR PART-TIME JOB, ME, ICHI AND HONA-CHAN GOT GENUINELY WORRIED WHEN YOU DIDN’T ANSWER ANYTHING”
“Saki calm down, and let Shiho breath, remember she can’t talk too much, you yourself told us” Ichika saved Shiho from that overwhelming hug, still she knew why Saki hugged her like that.
“Can you do signs like a thumb up or down? So we can talk like that” Saki asked Shiho expecting a no but instead Shiho gave her a thumb up “Yay!”
“Well I start, did your illness got worse?” Saki got another thumb up “In a scale from one to ten, how bad it hurts?” Saki then realized what she asked “Saki, how is Shiho going to answer that with a thumb up or down” Ichika giggling asked her girlfriend “Sorry!” but still Shiho got her ten fingers up and showed saki “THAT MUCH?”
Before Saki could keep asking or even Ichika, Honami finally talked “Have you been taking care of yourself the last week?” Thumb down, not really since Shizuku was the one taking care of her, and she only stayed in bed “You know why when you decided to ran away from me you were bleeding?” Thumb up, she was regretting doing what Saki said.
“Do you have Hanahaki?” ´HOW THE FUCK DID SHE KNEW´ Shiho thought to herself, she refused to answer that, “What is that?” Saki and Ichika asked in unison “Ask her.” Honami’s tone of voice changed, it went from sounding shy to mad in seconds.
“Honami Shiho can’t ta-“ Ichika was interrupted “She can, if she doesn’t talk is by her decision to most likely don’t cough, Am I right?” Shiho didn’t talk, how did Honami could read her so easily? She wasn’t being obvious, Shizuku wouldn’t tell her, Kohane, Minori or Haruka also won’t as far as she knew, nobody else knew, she had to use her plan b C, start making only sings to try to explain she can’t talk, even thought she can.
She pointed at were the facemask was and made a “No” sing with her hands, then she pointed again at her facemask and made a “talking” motion with one of her hands then made another “No” sign trying to say ´No voice´
“I know you can talk Shiho, stop faking it” Saki was getting far from Shiho and Honami every time Honami said something, Ichika was already at the door frame. Shiho also started getting mad until she got an idea. “I-it hur-rts” She talked to say that to Honami specifically, Saki and Ichika bought it, nevertheless Honami didn’t. Shizuku wasn’t home, she went shopping with Haruka, her parents were working. “STOP FAKING IT, I KNOW YOU CAN TALK, THE OTHER TIME I OVERHEARD KOHANE-CHAN AND HANASATO-SAN TALKING ABOUT IT, JUST SAY THE TRUTH, IS IT THAT HARD?”
Shiho was so done.
She looked back at Saki and Ichika and signaling them to go, they got it immediately, still they were worried about what could happen.
“I’m going with Saki to her house, see you later!” Ichika scared told them that and practically ran downstairs “Yeah..! Take care and get better Shiho-Chan, see you Hona-Chan” They heard the door open and close, Shiho from her bed finally answered back.
“IT HURTS ME TO TALK, I CANT TALK BECAUSE OF THAT, HOW IS THAT HARD FROM UNDERSTANDING AND WHAT DID YOU HEARD FROM MINORI AND KOHANE HUH?”
“WHAT I DIDN’T HEAR, WHY YOU STAYED QUIET? IT WAS THAT HARD TO SAY THE TRUTH? DO YOU WAN’T TO KILL YOURSELF OR WHAT? I HEARD KOHANE SAY “I really hope Shiho-Chan confess soon” AND THEN HANATO “Yeah! She is really bad and I hope she does it soon!” YOU TRUST MORE ON THEM THAN IN US? YOU KNOW HOW WORRIED WE WERE?”
“DON’T YOU THINK THAT IF I DIDN’T TOLD YOU GUYS WAS FOR A REASON? CAN YOU THINK FOR A SECOND?”
“FOR WHAT REASON HUH? YOU STOPPED TALKING TO US, IGNORED US, WHEN I CONFRONTED YOU, INSTEAD OF ANSWERING YOU SCREAMED AND DECIDED TO RAN AWAY, DO YOU THINK WE DON’T CARE ABOUT YOU?”
“IF YOU GUYS CARED ABOUT ME YOU WOULD STOPPED ASKING ME IF I WAS OKAY DAYS AGO, NOT KEEP GOING WITH THIS” Shiho coughed but didn’t care, she got the facemask off Hyou leraer face and launched it far away, she throwed up blood and flowers on the bucket, then kept screaming. “I DIDN’T TELL ANY OF YOU JUST TO NOT GET YOU 3 WORRIED, I DISTANCED MYSELF SO YOU 3 WON’T HAVE TO WORRY AT ALL”
Honami took a deep breath, her expression was angry, her eyes were crystalline, about to cry.
“YOU WORRIED US EVEN MORE, YOU LEARNED NOTHING FROM THE PAST? YOU ARE SELFISH, LET ME GUESS, WE ARE THE ONLY ONES THAT DIDN’T KNOW ANYTHING THAT HAPPENED, YOU TOLD EVERYONE BUT US, YOU ARE THE WORSE, I GOT EXTREMELY WORRIED ABOUT YOU, I THOUGHT FOR DAYS THAT I MADE SOMETHING WORNG, I WAS WORRIED FOR HOW YOU WERE ACTING, I GUESS IT DIDN´T MATTER AT ALL SINCE YOU ARE ACTING LIKE THIS, YOU DON’T CARE ABOUT US ANYMORE DO YOU?
“WELL IM SORRY FOR BEING A STUPID PERSON THAT DIDN’T THOUGHT HER FRIENDS WERE GOING TO OVERREACT, I DID THIS TO NOT WORRY YOU BUT IT SEEMS IT DIDN’T WORK AND SUDDENLY EVERYTHING IS MY FAULT, I CARE ABOUT THE 3 OF YOU BUT IT SEEMS YOU DON’T REALIZE IT”
Shiho throwed up again, Honami saw the flowers, the blood, a lot of petals and flower buds, even some roots, she was getting her breath back, meanwhile Shiho was throwing up non-stopping, when she finished it was clear her throat was hurting her a lot, only know Honami realized the real problem.
The problem wasn’t Shiho or Her
The problem was that Shiho could die anytime soon
And she was focused on treating her horrible.
Honami broke down in tears, Shiho was already crying, not only from the pain.
Honami got up and went to hug Shiho.
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry please stop crying, Shiho I’m the worse friend, aren’t I? I’m sorry please forgive me for screaming at you, please stop doing this to yourself, I don’t want you to die, please don’t die, I care a lot about you, I was being selfish not you!” Shiho kept crying, Honami did too.
“Please even if you won’t tell me who is this person that you like, do it, confess yourself, maybe they like you back, but please don’t die!” Honami was now hugging her tightly.
They stayed like that for a lot, Honami eventually stopped talking and just kept in silence, finally a comfortable silence, still, this may be not the hug that Shiho really needs.
A bit later Honami went to her house, Shiho now had to take a decision.
A.- Stay quiet and Die, plus make everyone that cared about her sad.
B.- Tell The Truth To Honami
Shiho felt incredible bad, but she couldn’t get herself to tell her the truth.
She bottled up her feelings for Honami for so many years

She could never confess to her.

Shiho have been coughing non-stop, she barely breaths, she feels her lungs extremely heavy, she knew she was going to die soon, Shizuku didn’t went to class just to stay with her younger sister.
Someone knocked the door, it definitely wasn’t their parents, they went to another city.
“Ill go open the door” Shizuku went to open the door and went back to Shiho´s room, but not alone.
“Shiho-Chan!” It was Honami, she was preoccupated, her tone of voice broken, she went to hug Shiho, she was still in her school uniform, then started crying.
“Please don’t die Shiho I beg you, please confess to whoever you like, I don’t want to lose you!” Honami cried while telling that to Shiho.
Shiho started crying and hugged back Honami “I can’t! I don’t want to die, I don’t want to leave any of you alone, but I don’t want to do it, I know they don’t like me back..”
“What if someone else does? Please shiho..!”
“If it worked like that…”
Shiho started coughing, she couldn’t breathe, Shizuku panicked, Honami hugged her not to tightly so she could try breathing.
“SHII-CHAN PLEASE JUST DO IT!” Shizuku went to hug her sister too

She started seeing everything blurry.
“Onee-Chan, take care of Okasan and Otosan, you are the best sister I could ever ask for.” Shiho managed to say

Honami kept hugging Shiho, everything she said was barely audible, she was out of breath, Honami never stopped crying, she was worse every moment that passed by.

“SHIHO DON’T DIE”

“PLEASE DON’T DO THIS”
Shiho let out her last word, “Love you…” Honami processed what she just heard but it was too late, Shiho died, she was on Honami’s arms, Honami kept crying.
“N-No…”
“Shii-Chan wake up..!” Shizuku tried to cope, she knew deep down that Shiho wasn’t going to wake up, still, she wanted her to.
“Shiho-Chan, why you didn’t tell me earlier..?”
Honami hugged Shiho tighter
Every moment they were together
Every smile shared
Every cry
Every talk
Every smile
Everything.
Honami felt horrible for not noticing before
After all she felt the same
Shizuku was crying ugly
She knew her sister won’t come back
Honami let go from Shiho’s body briefly and hugged Shizuku, who hugged her back
They remained silent.
Shizuku about an hour later went downstairs to tell her family what happened and tell More More Jump! She was going to be busy, Minori and Haruka expected the worse.
Honami stayed with Shiho
She kept hugging her
And tearing up.
“Shiho-Chan forgive me, for not noticing before, I need you, please comeback, I should have spent more time with you, I already miss you, why couldn’t you tell me before?, I forgive you even thought you did nothing wrong.”
“Sorry for not being in there.”
