Work Text:
Rachel came into the living room with a tray of cookies and two glasses of cocktails. Keith turned on the TV, then made the couch a little more comfortable for her. The sunlight shone through the window of their apartment, which made Rachel's skin glow. Rachel looked surprised. Keith looked pleased.
They sat down on the couch and began to eat the cookies. They watched TV together, which was just a bunch of boring news stories of the day that neither of them bothered to care about. "Man, this is old news," Rachel said in a boring manner. "Tell me about it," Keith muttered. Rachel takes a sip of her cocktail while Keith changes the channel.
After a series of flipping through the channels, Keith gave up and turned off the TV. "Now what?" Rachel groaned. "Small talk?" Keith suggests. Rachel sighed and ate another cookie. A little later, after chatting for a few minutes, Rachel yawned and put her head on Keith's shoulder. "Hm?" Keith looked at her. Rachel looked up at him.
"Oh, sorry," she stammers. "I'm a little tired." But Keith didn't seem to mind. He smiles at her and puts her head back on his shoulder as she smiles and starts to close her eyes. Keith played with the strands in her hair while Rachel began to smile in her sleep.
