A goofy Mission

Summary:

Bradley was baptized into the LDS church at age 8 like most Mormon kids. Same goes for Max.
They both know they aren’t straight. They’ve kept this a secret because coming out is scary. And they know they probably won’t be accepted if they told anyone.
What happens when they find themselves being each other’s partners on their missions?

Chapter 1: Episode 1

Chapter Text

Bradley glared at Tank as he set his suitcase in the car. Getting ready to go to the MTC . In frustration he replied, “ No! I dumped her last week. Gosh! You have the memory of a cow! ”

“Ohh.” Tank mumbled as he grabbed Bradley’s suitcase from Bradley. After noticing him struggling.

After getting the car loaded they headed back to Bradley’s parent’s house. Their house was a big upper class lot with access to the local Rue st. River . Bradley had always thought the driveway was longer than needed. But tank agreed that the walk way definitely was way longer then needed. It curved in an almost zigzag pattern in such an inconvenient that there were beaten paths on the grass. Showing its inconvenience.
But Bradley’s parents had always been unconventional . That was just their way.

                . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Max hugged PJ in an emotional embrace. Being away from PJ for the next two years was going to be hard. They had grown up together as next door neighbors. They had gone through so much together. Being outcasts in their school and in their community was bound to lead to some bonding.  And he was scared for PJ too. What did you do if your best friend left you for two years. And you were left in a house with only Pete for company? Max would go insane.
Max hoped PJ would be able to find a way to escape his dad.

Max broke the embrace and gave a goofy grin to PJ. PJ tried to return the grin but failed. His mouth curving into a grimace instead of grin. His Max’s eyes turned down and he started to fidget with his shirt as he tried to think of something to say.

” I’m gonna miss you dude. Don’t let your dad keep you down” there eyes met at the last remark and PJ eyes grow stormy. His grimace fell and he looked blankly at Max and nodded.

”I’ll try.” PJ Murmured looking down.
